I won't buy any more TV from Adli – I had bought three TVs from Aldi from different time and different Size. My Bauhn 65" screen completely turn to black after few flickers after the warranty up. I had another two smaller TV - one is 42" and the other is 32" had the same problem- not working after 1 to 2 years.. I still had my old Plasma Sony TV ( bought 15 years ago and still working fine), unfortunately it wasn't a SMART TV and don't have the WIFI connection.  Show details

Very happy with purchase – This product was bought from ALDI and to be honest I am very happy with my purchase. SIze of this tv fits average common room into medium size unit. TVs anyway. Once HDMI-CEC is activated you can turn it on with your phone (Chromecast) or any other device (consoles). So convenient.

On SD TV signal however, the picture is very blurry and washed out. Only watch HD or Digital channels on this TV.

I loved it – The picture quality is fine as you would expect on a current tv. It's the perfect size for our family and although we use an external speaker the built-in is adequate. SOUND QUALITY

I've found the sound quality of the built-in speakers to be better than most. All of the latest ultra thin TVs suffer from poor sound - it's simply the nature of the beast. To generate big sound, speakers have to move big air. The low profile speakers used in all ultra thin TVs simply do not have the volume of air in front of the speakers to generate the big sound that a big screen warrants. Some of the top brands do have sound enhancement technology built-in, but even those, in my opinion, aren't as good as a better set of external speakers. I've connected the Bauhn TV to a sound bar and just leave the TV volume set to 0.

CONNECTIONS

The unit has 4 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports, standard audio out and digital audio out. That should be more than enough connectivity to satisfy most people. We currently have a ChromeCast Ultra, a games console, an Android media player, a Yamaha sound bar and an external hard drive connected and we still have a spare port.

EASE OF SETUP

The TV fits onto a standard sized wall mounting bracket and the ports are in relatively easy to locate positions. The buttons are easy to reach on the side of the unit (for those times when Mr. Nobody runs off with the remote). Initial setup was relatively quick and the unit accurately detected all available Free To Air TV stations.

OVERALL

Considering the price we paid, the picture/sound quality, the connectivity and the ease of set up, I don't think we could have gotten better value with any other brand. We're very impressed, as is everyone who's seen it running.

Surprisingly Brilliant – Size for price is fantastic, no issues with the panel. the way HDMI-CEC is implemented is a bit backwards, have to go into the menu to trigger the connected device menu - annoying as i sued a connected playstation, and to quit any application i have to get the controller or go into the TV menu. watching free to air on this size television is a bit sad, but that would hold true for most devices this size.  Show details

Aldi TV Delivers – 12 months on I am still really impressed with this TV! It has great features including easy to use smart tv internet. The picture is really good, not as great as a $3000 plus 4K but keep in mind this is a $900 TV. Don't Bother! – Purchased TV. Turned on to find Black lines going vertical down screen. Phoned Tempo the company that deals with problems. They said I could return by my responsibility to pack it up and send to Melbourne!! We asked for a replacement but advised they don't do this. Eventually got refund!  Show details

Great picture - sound quality could be better – I purchased one of these TVs yesterday. I think the TV looks great, the picture quality is very good however the sound is a bit tinny so the speaker system could be improved. However, great value for a TV with built in DVD player. Cheap and it works – Picture quality is ok for most people but is not great like Sony and LG OLED. But for most people this is good for 2nd TV or for people who don't care that much about picture quality. HDMI CEC works but to return to DTV you need to select source rather than just channel up / down.  Show details

Great General TV for the best price around – Fantastic family TV. Great General picture with all of the standard specs included. Picture is 7/10 and sound 7/10 but Value 10/10. This TV is a Solid performer without the bells and whistles of the other brands. The only issue I have is the remote. Great TV for the price – I bought this from Aldi and it was a fantastic value. Obviously it doesn't compare to a super fancy state-of-the-art Samsung TV but it does the job. Picture quality is good, speakers are good (could be better, I might buy a sound bar eventually but I'm in no rush), and there are plenty of ports. Awesome TV for an awesome price. You pay for what you get – It's a great price for all the features you get. Quality is fine and so is the sound quality. It's just a little slow to process any button you've pressed. Takes a while to turn on, change channel, use the Smart option etc. I don't know if I would recommend it but I wouldn't not recommend it either. Love the size and picture quality – We are very happy with our new Bauhn tv. The size is great. The picture quality is good but I have seen better. The black areas are not the best. It's big, but it's junk – Don't be fooled by the TV promoting 4K UHD - Australian programming does not yet broadcast to that standard, and where more expensive TVs will downsample the display to match the lower resolution broadcasting so as to maintain a high quality picture, the Bauhn does not, so you have this enormous screen in front of you with a dreadful picture. … Read more

They actually warn the user in the manual that as a result of the unit displaying the lower resolution broadcast to a 4K UHD screen it may result in poor picture quality.

The sound is tinny and low quality and the picture adjustments are very limited, with too much contrast in the picture that can't be adjusted adequately. Only 1 HDMI port.

We actually expected it to at least display the kid's PS4 and Wii ok, but again it was a disappointment.

We bought this at $800 and returned it after 2 days. The one upshot is that Aldi have a very good return policy..

Lesson learned - never buy a TV without having the opportunity to view an operational display model.

This is the 2nd Bauhn/Tempo Tv that I have purchased which had the same fault.

If I was made aware that the Hitachi Tv was made by Bauhn/Tempo, I would never have purchased it. Apparently this is a known complaint and I don't understand how they can keep selling this Tv under various name brands.

I have CC this complaint to Bauhn/Tempo, I will be sending information to Product Review and Consumer Affair. I am requesting my money back ASAP.
