I ordered a pair of Bearefoot shoes for walking. Was pleased when they arrived - nice shoe, very lightweight. But even out of the box I was worried about the strength of the very flimsy material. Still, I thought "it's a shoe company, they know what they're doing". Boy was I naive. Within an hour of ordering, as I was further exploring their… Read more

site, I noticed a note that stated you should order a 1/2 size smaller. I immediately wrote an email to customer service in an attempt to change the size ordered. When I wrote, it said to ensure you don't email again regarding the same issue as you will drop to the end of the queue. I received no reply for a week but the shoe hadn't yet shipped so I figured I'd email again. Still no reply. I emailed once more to cancel my order (I don't trust companies with such awful customer service).

Of course, then I received a quick reply. The agent said they'd do what they can to change the order before they shipped. Of course, they did nothing and they order shipped.

Within 2 months a hole appeared on the top left shoe in the toe area. To date, I'd only walked in the shoes. And only indoors. I contacted the company but apparently 2 months is an acceptable period of use to them so they refused an exchange. 2 months! For a shoe that cost over a hundred dollars.

I was informed there was nothing they could do. Even when I provided pictures of the the shoe. But there was something I could do - write a review to warn any potential customers that you'd better be aware of what you're dealing with. Terrible customer service and a terrible quality product for a premium price. Even Nike has a return policy if your shoe breaks down within a year. This has never happened to me before with an indoor shoe. Perhaps with a running sneaker but not a walking shoe.

Avoid at all costs.

Ugly, poorly made, polystyrene shoes. No arch or other support. Insoles are cheap flat plastic cr#p. These shoes feel like plastic sauna on each foot. Save your money for real wool & leather Ugg boots or lightweight, comfortable leather hiking boots. Advertising ripoff. No refund. Bearefoot say you can keep the shoes & pay half price. Accept it! Their back up offer is less than 10% refund with the rest going to ‘postage’. Show details

Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. Our original order was lost, and after several follow-ups it eventually arrived too late for our overseas holiday. When I returned, I only had the chance to use the shoes in December, and on just the second wear the shoe completely came loose at the toe and side. I contacted customer… Read more

support seeking a solution, but was told the 14-day exchange period had expired. I don’t understand how anyone can reasonably assess the quality and durability of a product within such a short timeframe—especially when delivery issues delayed use in the first place.

I then asked for advice on how to repair the shoes (for example, which glue would be suitable), but kept receiving what appears to be an automated response repeating the exchange policy. The provided link simply confirms that an exchange is not possible and offers no alternative solution.

Given the price, I expected far better quality and customer support. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Order shoes for partner he has uk size 15 feet. They are far too small so requested a refund. The options were to get half the money back and keep shoes but you get charged £25 admin fee or get full refund with £25 admin fee and postage costs. Contacted customer services they agreed to refund full amount and this had been confirmed, so my money… Read more

would be in my paying account within 7 days. 10 days later still no refund. Contacted customer services to be told by same person (Nikko Heredero) that there was a mistake and due to buying shoes during the January offer I was not entitled to a refund and not offered another pair of shoes. I am now £70 out of pocket and with no product. Customer services are now ignoring all of my emails.

AVOID COMPANY AT ALL COSTS customer service is shocking and shoes look cheap

Straight up Temu quality shoes (in fact, the extract shoes are on Temu). Have been going back and forth with the company for 2 months trying to organise a refund. 90% of responses have been automated. Don’t trust social media comments - this complaint is a sham. Show details

Didn’t get what I ordered and refused a return. I ordered 3 pairs UK size 7. UK sizes were the only option on the website . They sent EU 40 which is closer to UK 6. There’s no UK size marked in the shoes. I contacted their support and after several… Read more

“thank you for your concerns we will share it with the team” I eventually got a link to return. After putting in the details I was offered a 50% refund and keep the shoes. Why would I keep shoes that are a size too small and no use to me? I declined. Then “this item is not eligible for return” I can exchange for a 41 ( EU sizes are on the return portal of the website) but have to pay $30 shipping fee. For their error. Had there been an option for EU sizes when I ordered I would’ve ordered a 41. They did not give this option. Basically they fraudulently offered 3 pairs of UK 7 shoes when they don’t make UK sizes, sent an EU 40 (UK 6) offered a 50% refund and refused a return. In addition to this, insoles and socks ordered were not received. Scammers

Follow-up  · In the end, after they continued to go around in circles (offering return, sending a link for return, the link offers 50% refund and keep the shoes, say no and “item not eligible for return” rinse and repeat) I contacted my credit card company and was refunded the full amount within days. The whole frustrating experience went on for over 2 weeks.… Read more

Absolutely trash! I got sucked in by the social media advertisements and got the Buy Two get One Free deal. Not even sure how I let myself go through with it after seeing the AUD$100+ price listed for each pair. The shoes arrived and to say that they are a cheap knockoff of someone else’s product would be generous. If I’d paid $10 each at a… Read more

beachside cafe, I wouldn’t even care. But these things are cheap cr#p and are nothing more than a nylon sock with a slightly thicker plastic sole.

0/1000 DO NOT BUY!!

Don’t fall for this scam. They say “If the size isn't quite right, simply email us, and we'll send you both a return label and a replacement - all costs on us!” on their website, then send the wrong size shoes then when you ask them to change the size they say “Exchanges are free if the item is defective or damaged. If you would like to exchange a… Read more

product for a reason on your side, such as size preference, we will still replace the item, but you may be responsible for the shipping fees.”

Scam website selling cheap crap from alliexpress for 10x the price. Offering returns but when you try to initiate a return it charges you 99% of the price as "handling fee". All positive reviews on Trustpilot are fake. Show details

Scam alert. Shell website that resells low quality shoes that you can find elsewhere with 1/3 the price – Exactly the same experience as the other customer has. Super cheap quality shoes that you can find the exact same one on Temu/Shein for 25AUD (use image search like google lens). The shoes they sold have no logo, which means it is indeed those unbranded one sold on Temu/Shein. They shipped from Sydney to you (again, same as Shein/Temu), but when… Read more

you ask to return them, they won't refund you the initial shipping cost, and they will ask you to ship to USA and you will also bear the return shipping. Which makes you not gonna return them because of the high shipping cost to USA even if you are not happy about the product. They are those shell website that don't manufacture/design any products but pretending they are, but resell cheap stuffs on the market at 3-5times the price, and do their best to stop their customers from returning the products.

For those who already got scammed, if you have paid via PalPal or credit card, you might be able to lodge the `transaction dispute` and hopefully get your money back.

Update: I have raised a `transaction dispute` with my bank, and I did get full refund back from Bearefoot, which means my bank agreed with my claim that they are fraud/scam.

BE WARNED BAREFOOT SHOES - ARE NOT BEARFOOT – 1. I purchased shoes from what I thought was an Australian website. (dumb not to check) 2. I paid Australian postage to have them delivered. 3. I received the wrong size shoes (size 41, I am 38). 4. The address on the packaging states, I quote, Sender: Shipping Dept, Unit 3/10-10/12 Wiggs Road Riverwood NSW 2210, an Australia address. When I tried… Read more

to locate this address, I found no such unit for them. 5. I contacted customer support, who have not once addressed the error in sending the wrong size. 6. On their website, it is unclear whether the shoes are coming from the USA. Had I known that, I would not have ordered. 7. The support phone number does not work, so speaking to someone is impossible. BE WARNED. I doubt I will get a refund if I pay to send them back to the USA. $137.00 lost...
