I’m always careful to wash wool or cotton socks at 30 degrees or in a cold wash and they’ve not shrunk So I highly recommend Nordic Socks Delivery was a little slow

Not warm, not thick and comfortable, mostly synthetic not wool, one pair arrived with a large number of threads not tied into the cloth so can’t be pulled on without snagging toes, one pair was two different sized socks, and now the pairs I do wear are beginning to fall apart after only half a year of occasional use. the Ragnar socks are perfect for those days as they are slightly thinner and therefore fit in my boots perfectly. They keep my feet neutral in temperature, I am not smelly at the end of the day and most importantly, on dewy days, I don't have to change my socks three or four times in the morning to have dry feet. When I get back to my little off grid cabin and it's time to rest, I throw on a pair of Seva's to stay cozy and warm in my unheated house. I will probably buy more as I just found the Ida's and I love the colours in them. Love everything about these socks!

I usually look for well-spun fibres, a dense thread count, soft fabric, a secure fit, and socks that stay up throughout the day. The newer socks don’t meet these expectations. • The yarn is noticeably finer,… Read more
and the weave is less dense. • This results in a looser fit, and the socks slip down when worn. • The fabric is much thinner — you can see through both the main weave and the ribbing. • The ribbing itself offers little support, revealing just a single thin elastic thread. • There is no reinforced toe or heel, which was a key feature of the older pairs. Overall, the quality of the new socks is significantly lower than previous purchases. It appears the materials and thread count may have been reduced, possibly due to rising production costs. I hope the original quality can be restored, as the earlier versions were excellent.
Photos you can see the ribbing at top of socks have changed and the thin elastic that holds them up is poor. Toe section not reinforced, the length and thickness has changed. The thread count is way thinner I can see my skin through them.

I'm on my second year of buying Nordic socks. They last well and very comfortable. They are a blend so not 100% wool or cotton so hold up well to regular washing. I am usually a size 10AU but purchased the XL size that fitted well. Show details
Follow-up · The year i purchased the thinner cotton socks for summer wear and the wool socks for winter. Very comfortable. No problems with sweat or moisture as they are quite breathable. These are not "grip" socks so just the same grip as regular socks. They do hold up to regular wear without shoes.

Follow-up · Socks grip well. Socks allow your feet to breathe. I am prone to sweaty feet which causes them to smell - these socks do not make your feet smell. Durability - so far so good. They are holding up on boots and everyday shoes.

** Colours don't match what is on the website ** The photos on the website are super saturated, making the colours look really bright. The socks I got were significantly less bright than the photos.
** Entrapment style post-checkout deals ** I've never seen this before - after I checked out, I was shown another deal which wasn't on the website. There was a countdown timer to put the pressure on. I swear I didn't actually click to accept that deal, but somehow they came through. It's possible I did accidentally click it...in any case it felt really icky that after I'd made my decision, they revealed deals that weren't available before.
Will be actively discouraging anyone from buying these.

alternative product. This is illegal: they are required by consumer law in Australia to offer a refund. I raised a dispute with PayPal and got my money back. Stay away from this company. Or if you absolutely must get their socks, make sure you only purchase from them through PayPal so that you have some protection.
