Disappointing – We purchased a King size Lindeman 35 from Harvey Norman in 2013. Initially took a few weeks to get used to the memory foam construction but then we had a few good years of comfortable sleep out of it. After about 3 years very visible furrows appeared with quite a mound in the middle. The sagging has become progressively worse to the point that it… Read more

is now quite uncomfortable with no support and leaves me waking up sore. It also gets quite hot in summer. I had hoped for the cost we would’ve had more than 7 years life. Our previous mattress cost a fraction of the amount and was still good after 15 years - we just decided to upsize from Queen to King. Overall very disappointed.

Hate it! – ComforPedic Beautrest Daydream 29, Air Cool. Worst money we EVER spent. The memory foam slumps in the middle creating a terrible nights sleep. Bought in 2012. Buying a new mattress today in a different brand, different store. Show details

Beautyrest Comforpedic Hayman 39 – We have a king sized comforpedic Hayman 39 with 'aircool' technology. Have used it for almost 5 years and got it for $11,000 from Harvey Norman. It was supposedly a $20k bed when it came out. It is one of the softest mattresses you'll find- like sleeping on a cloud, so I would only recommend if you are a soft mattress lover or love waterbeds as… Read more ·  1

mentioned below in another review (like my wife and I ). It's slightly bigger than a standard king bed too, so you and your partner have plenty of wiggle room. I noticed a review below said it can run warm, and I would agree. I would say that because of the gel/foam used, it can get *slightly* warmer than other normal beds, but if that's a problem for you, turn the air con or fan on. Handy part of this mattress is that it has a washable cover that can be removed/washed which makes it easy to keep clean. It also maintains its shape well because of the foam/gel technology.

Don't buy Foam Latex – Great mattress to begin with and was very comfortable. After 3-4 years we visually noticed a bow and felt the structural integrity of the foam starting to weaken with little to no support! My wife and I both started to experience lower back aches and pain which we could only put down to this product. We trialled sleeping on our spare pocketcoil… Read more

mattress for a week...voila our back pain disapeared. We contacted the manufacturer to address the issue and see what our options were. Well...that process was a total waste of time with no warranty cover! I don't recommend this product and considering the high sale price the after sales service has been sub par!

Hayman 39 beautyrest Mattress – If you like a soft bed, this thing is amazing. You literally sink in like a waterbed. We have the superking. We are in Australia so it was $12,000 brand new (and that was on 'sale' from $16,500 at Harvery Norman) but worth every penny for us. Can get a little warmer in summer but if it's that hot anyway we have the air conditioner or fan on… Read more

anyway.

Have had it for almost 3 years and would buy another one.

Has a removable top that you can unzip/wash very easily.

Been searching for the Beautyrest pillows on sale because they were available at time and I didn't buy. Regretting it now because can't find them anywhere.

Like sleeping on a cloud. If you are someone who like sleep and likes a deep/soft bed, this is your dream come true.

Thought we purchased a good mattress – After 31/2 years our comfortpedic mattress has deep wells on either side - so deep that it is a joke !! we thought we had purchased a good quality and was assured by the sales person at Harvey Norman that that was the case. what a waste of good money ! we would have been better to buy a cheaper mattress and just throw it out after this short… Read more

Bad Experience Overall – I bought this mattress two years ago for $5k, initially I thought it was good after reading so many review, but has been so stiff since day one that my back starts to hurt and side hip bone start to ache as well if I sleep on one side. I don't know what to but definitely have to replace it as its affecting my posture now, i can no longer sleep sideways.  Show details

Worse mattress Ever – We purchased our mattress from Harvey Norman and after just 12 months I started to feel discomfort and back pain, I went back to Harvey Norman to complain about it. Excellent! 5 stars – Have had a super king Hayman 39 for about 18 months now and can't speak highly enough of it. No sagging yet and I'm 106kg and 190cm. Can be s little warm in summer. Very expensive but well worth the outlay with the matching pillows. If you have the budget go for it. I'm not sure of its firmness.

Do not buy this mattress!!! – This mattress was a complete waste of money, we are very disappointed. warranty so we could always get it fixed. Lo and behold, we try to claim on warranty and the manufacturer says that sinking is normal and to be expected! not only is it sinking but it has gone soft where we lie. We both wake with very sore backs and are out in the market for another mattress as the 10 year warranty wasn't worth the paper it's written on. Very bad mattress, terrible manufacturer, terrible service. The mattress you lie on in the shop will not be the mattress you enjoy from 6 months onwards.

Been In So Much Pain!! – Unbelievable! Seriously. I have been in agony with my back, hips and numbness in various places and have spent a fortune on masseuses, chiropractors, physios and various other type of healers since approximately 3-4 months after purchasing and sleeping on our new king size ensemble. relief). This has been ongoing for 3 years now. We thought up until now that it may be related to stress?

My husband has also experienced periodic back pain for the last few years.

We did not think that it could be associated with this new mattress purchased from Harvey Normans. We had a good relationship with the sales person and manager of the store as we had extensively renovated our new home and had purchased most of our furniture from them. We have never spent so much money (thousands) on a bed/mattress and was told that this was the best!

Only yesterday, when I was desperately praying for an answer to all of my current ailments (during a therapeutic massage) did a little voice appear and say change your mattress...

Today I stripped the bed sheets (found the mattress brand and name) and searched the web for reviews of our current mattress. I am horrified at the amount of reviews where people have experienced very similar ailments to me since sleeping on these mattresses.

To be honest, I am still in shock. Didn't even get to read all of the reviews, when I felt impelled to write this one.

By the way, this is only the second review that I have ever written - other than eBay (and the other one was positive).

I will now web search and review our next purchase of a king size mattress and my husband and I will sleep in our spare room on our old mattress in the mean while. I will post again if any updates, that is if anyone is interested?

Is It Me Or The Mattress! – We have had our Comforpedic Harmony Deluxe memory foam mattress for a little over 3 years. getting old and getting back problems? I am 65kg and my husband 95kg and there are shallow trenches where our bodies lie so I decided to sleep in the spare bed for a couple of nights. No back pain!! I suspect our very expensive mattress has a relatively short life span before sagging sets in. All the good reviews for these mattresses are when they are a year or less old and all the negative are for 3 years plus. I think that says it all!

Ps: I have been sleeping on our spare mattress (which is a good quality latex topped queen) for 5 nights now and haven't been waking up with a sore back!

Nothing like the Comforpedic- this mattress is torture!! – I bought the "Delta 25" from Harvey Norman last week. The salesman ASSURED me that this model is "exactly the same" as the Comforpedic Hamilton 18, which I got for my son in 2013. There is not a thing "same" about this piece of junk. It does NOT have temperature sensitive foam. The foam IS NOT memory foam, as described. What this is, is CHEAP,… Read more

NASTY ordinary foam- the type you might buy for a spare mattress to keep in a caravan -on top of even harder material. Spent a lot of time talking with the shameless salesman, because there was not a sample of this mattress on the floor. Finally convinced by his assurances that this mattress was different in name only, I bought the damn thing. I cannot imagine who could find this a comfortable bed. I have a very bad back and was very clear about this: the Beautyrest Hamilton 18 memory foam mattress allowed me to sleep without causing pain. This replacement model has caused me agony. Why can't sales people be trusted???!!!!

returned with mattress, still waiting! The mattress is now worse than ever, when I wake up my body is half way bellow the top of the mattress. I was in constant pain with my neck, back and hips and really stiff on rising, first night on the loan mattress and most of my pains were gone. I had also been attending Physio at least once a week, just thought I was getting old. They are about to take it back again and I am asking for a replacement mattress, as this one cost over $4000.00 on sale. It came with a 25 year guarantee, not that I expected it to last anywhere near that time. Customer service - well what is that?

I could not give one recommendation and Customer Service does not exist.

made. Almost every night after my wife gets into bed she says this s a great bed.

It is firm but comfortable. It doesn't sag, it doesn't move much when the other person rolls over.

It took me a few weeks to adjust but after that neither of us have woken with the tense backs we used to wake up with with our old inner spring mattress. My wife suffers from general soreness & joint discomfort and it has been a god send for her.

They are expensive but we were able to afford it and in the opinion of my wife it is the best purchase we have made. Do't wake up sore or with a tense body not cheap

None like it ... Best ever – I used to wake up with terrible lower back pain, I knew it was the matress and encouraged my partner to buy this one. First night woke up NO back pain... 2 years and going strong. Love it. In fact I look forward to bedtime. It has softened up a bit but not to the detriment of comfort and support. I am buying one for my daughter !! So comfortable.. A bit pricey but worth the spend for sure! Nothing Show 3 replies

Daydream 29 - Amazingly comfortable bed! – After trying a much cheaper ($999) 'memory foam' bed from an online store, we returned it after persisting with it for 3 weeks, under their offer of a 30-day 'no questions asked' trial period as it was way too firm. mattresses.

We decided to go for a memory foam mattress after our 8 year old pocket-spring mattress had developed significant sagging/indentations. As I weigh around 120kg and suffer from chronic back pain while sleeping, I did some research and found that the predominant recommendation for heavier people AND people who suffer from back pain/injury was to go with a memory foam mattress.

The first night's sleep wasn't overly comfortable, in that it felt almost as firm as the cheaper 'online' mattress we had bought and returned. However, we were told that you need to give a new mattress a good couple of weeks for it to 'settle' and for your body to get used to it. Each night felt better and better, and now, almost a month later, both my wife and I agree that it is amazingly comfortable and well worth the +$3K price tag. I have been able to sleep through every single night without waking due to severe back pain within 2-3 hours, which is something that I haven't been able to do for years.

I am a very 'hot sleeper', but despite the warnings of how hot memory foam mattresses can be, the gel infused foam combined with the air-flow design within the mattress itself has meant I haven't experienced any problems with getting too warm, even on quite warm nights.

Even though it has softened up and become more comfortable over the last month, it doesn't seem to be getting too soft or losing any of its support (as has been mentioned in other reviews of this type/brand of mattress). I'll update this review in another 6 months or so to comment on whether it has retained its comfort level and support. Very supportive, yet extremely comfortable. Minimal partner disturbance. Value for money. Quite pricey (compared to normal spring mattresses). A very 'tall' mattress
