How do you sleep at night – I too had terrible trouble with them , I ordered 2 Ouef products in May 2011 . I believe they knew they were in trouble back then as they happily took my money but then I was told the product was out of stock and no one else would be able to get it. from Ouef that the products were not out of stock nor had they ever been. You don't go into liquidation overnight so they took peoples money for the next 12 months with no intention of ever supplying the product. Its not surprising they went under as the service was non existent anyway !

to Bebe announcing their liquidation their store was up for lease. When I questioned, if they were moving, they told me they were looking for a new store as their lease was up. Distributors of Ouef and Joolz products told me they stopped supplying product to Bebe mid 2011 due to unpaid accounts.
After investigating further, we have discovered Bebe Enterprises Pty Ltd is still active and no liquidation company have registered with Asic. Their ACN and ABN are still operating.
Took the money, but supplied no product

I contacted Olli Ella direct and the girls were really helpful and I ended up repurchasing the chair through them.
I suggest for others in the same boat, if you paid Bebe using your credit card or debit card contact your financial institution to arrange a chargeback on the transaction.

lodged a disputed transaction with my bank to hopefully get my money back. If it's useful to anyone else, I tracked down their company name and ABN which are Bebe Enterprises Pty Ltd. I searched the ASIC registers but there's no mention on there that they've gone into liquidation so I provided the bank with a print screen of bebe's website and a print-out of this discussion. Hopefully that's enough!

called and spoke to [name removed] - he was no help at all and things didnt seem right so i cancelled my order with them as [name removed] promised me that Bebe would refund me the deposit that i gave earlier. I gave them my bank details - after daily phone calls to [name removed] at Bebe and multiple promises that Yes, my refund was going to happen I was then very dissapointed to find out via their website that Bebe was no longer open. Therefore the week before closing down [name removed] continually promised me my money back knowing that this was not going to happen at all. Pathetic. I was then left with one month to go until my baby arrived, no furniture, and almost $1000.00 out of pocket. If anyone is aware of the liquidator for Bebe can you please blog it on this site??? Thanks For The Lies! – Made an order in November last year 2011, paid upfront $1,200 for an Ouef cot, never recieved any calls from Bebe and still waiting... So rude, how do these people sleep at night after ripping so many people off! Such a special time in peoples lifes and they do something like this!
Fraudulent – I was another victim of Bebe online, I placed an order for a Mocka teepee in March and was told it was on back order. When I sent them an email to see what had happened to my order I found out they were bankrupt. January and that Bebe were $10, 000 in debt to them but that they had recently paid back that debt over the last month. No doubt with the stolen money they took from everyone.
Mocka gave me another email address to try [name removed] but she isn't replying to that one either. I think its appalling that they continued to take orders with no intention of filling them. I really feel for the mums that have lost thousands trying to set up their first nurseries, its last thing you need when your pregnant and going to a single wage. As far as I can tell a liquidator hasn't been appointed yet.

called the supplier direct and there was never any order placed for my cot/dresser. The supplier actually said that they had not received any orders from bebe since Christmas - what a disgrace! So basically anyone who placed an order this year, was never going to receive their products. [Name removed] was just happy to take everyones money.
Shame, shame, shame........ I am going to follow this up with consumer affairs or somebody. What bebe did was totally illegal and very wrong! Others should contact suppliers direct also to see if orders were placed. We need to speak out about this mums and get some action against them. I understand that business can have hard times and go bust (initially I felt sorry for them), but after finding out orders were never placed since Christmas....... well........that is just a low act.

I was told 4-6 weeks like everyone else it seems, and I doubt I will ever see the chair.

Having been in this situation before, I don't believe I will get any of my money back, and can't believe that the staff would continue to give false information, perhaps passed down from the owners/management. I was originally planning to purchase the item direct with the maker, but thought I should support the retailer. Hmm,... perhaps I'm the fool this time.

never would I have known that the sales people had totally lied to me as I called a couple of weeks before hand and they said it will be available the following week. This is a total scam! Be very careful when buying large items and always put it on credit card in case you need to claim a charge back via your financial institution. I hope all Bebe consumers affected would get their deposits back. This is the last thing anyone needs when they are pregnant.
No product delivery and staff not honest with situation of the business
Stole my Money! – I purchased a pram in store which was over $1,000 and placed a 50% deposit. They told me it would be 4 weeks delivery. Less than two weeks later the business has gone into liquidation! I was only made aware of this through their website. They basically took my money when they knew they were going to cease trading 1-2 weeks later! Lost all my money and never received any goods.
Very slow shipping – I ordered a highchair online. A day or two later they called me to organise payment for additional freight (due to it being a large item). and was told I would get a callback regarding the whereabouts of my item. They never called me back. I called again after 3 weeks and was told the shipping time was now 2-4 weeks, not 1-3 days like I paid for. I was in urgent need of the highchair and if I had realised it would take this long to receive it I would not have bought it from them. Nice product Unreliable customer service and slow shipping
