BedJet

What a DISGRACEFUL company!!! – So after doing a bunch of research online, I decided to take a shot at ordering the BedJet V3 since they now had an Australian version on sale. I went through the standard online ordering process, accepted the shipping and taxes charge of $261 (which seemed incredibly high but I was willing to pay) and then looked forward to receiving my product. However, around 4-5 days later, I started getting messages from FedEx saying there was a $350 import taxes bill due. When I called, I was told that BedJet did not pay the import taxes and that I would need to pay these if I wanted the items delivered. Given I had clearly paid shipping and taxes on checkout from BedJet, I made contact thinking this issue would be quickly resolved.
The response was dumbfounding! I was told that no, the website was not correct, despite the hefty "shipping and taxes fee calculated at checkout" charge, in fact they don't cover all costs and I would indeed have to pay. Obviously I reacted furiously and told them to refund my money which did occur but the fact they did not apologise for their error and offer to cover the taxes is a great example of how not to treat a customer and speaks to how they probably handle after sales as well.
My advice - STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! If this is how they treat customers when trying to make a sale, just imagine after you have got your product and you have an issue!
Absolutely brilliant. Best sleep. Worth the $$$ – Purchased the V3 International Australian version in April 2021. Since day one, I've had the BEST sleep ever since. No more tossing and turning during the night because of being too hot or too cold. This thing simply works. I am a hot sleeper but like to sleep under blankets. And I've tried many 'thermo regulating' Fiona's and mattress toppers - they all end up trapping too much heat for me. I get hot...kick them off...then I'm too cold....pull them back on....too hot....and repeat. And I'd have mild sweating.
But with the BedJet, it does a great job of keeping the temperature under the blankets at a set level. I've since never kicked them off and had much better, more solid sleeps. I was surprised that my ideal temperature setting is 26 degrees (whereas I thought I'd want the lowest possible temp).
I tried the cloudsheet, which distributes the air evenly, and it was ok. But I actually prefer not using it, and just allowing the air to flow through between my normal bed sheets. It does create a bit of a wind tunnel, but I actually quite like it. I can imagine some people may not, but then you can adjust the fan strength accordingly.
The air flow, by the way, does vent all 'gasses' to your face. Be warned!
The unit is reasonably quite. On max, it's about as loud as a pedestal fan on high. Lower settings are almost whisper quiet. But I like the maximum air flow best.
The company was really great to deal with. They promptly answered questions, kept me informed of shipping progress etc and after sales service has been equally good. When I needed a couple more extension parts (because I have a very thick mattress), they responded quickly and didn't charge a dollar.
So while the unit is quite expensive, it has definitely been worth the investment. The build quality is solid and the company states the product can be expected to last years. And while it is 'just a fan in a box' (and a powerful one at that) it's the way it regulates the temperature is what's key. There's no other product like it that I've found.
Can't recommend it highly enough.
