I was just saying to friends that since I upgraded my mattress from a previous sealy exquisite firm to the newer sealy exquisite couture luxury firm that I have never slept better. Be careful buying a bed from sealy as they don’t warranty there expensive mattress. If your mattress fails you will not get a refund which under Australian law is a right the purchaser has when buying faulty products in Australia

Married 44 years and have just purchased our 4th Sealy Posturepedic Mattress. Husband has recently suffered from back pain on our old bed which was 10 years old. Purchased a Crown jewel mattress this time so hopefully his back problems will be gone and we can both get a well earned night’s sleep. Comfortable, good back support, great quality, suitable for us when laying beside her or for bedtime stories, Australian made, 10yr warranty, great price on sale. Service from Snooze was fantastic. purchased a mattress and base from forty winks nunawading. the owner is awful to deal with . He wanted me to apologise for a faulty mattress I bought the mattress in 2022 and had it replaced because the springs were faulty (rusty ) apparently I can't sleep on the bed now as what they did in the repair I don't know. It was a plush bed now it's hard as . Impossible to use I wanted a full refund but that seems Impossible too

for a customer service issue of this nature.

Following the inspection conducted on 17 July, I was informed by the Sealy representative that I may have been sold the incorrect mattress. This critical detail, however, was not included in the official report.

I would also like to highlight that I submitted photographic evidence using a 5kg weight to demonstrate that the body impressions exceed both Sealy’s own warranty tolerance of 32mm and the Australian standard of 35mm. The report’s claim of 25mm impressions does not align with the visible evidence I provided.

I have followed all recommended care instructions, including regular rotation, and I completed all in-store mattress testing prior to purchase. This mattress was specifically recommended to me by staff at Snooze Helensvale (Invoice: 041076051523), whom I trusted to guide me toward a suitable and supportive product. Unfortunately, the mattress has been uncomfortable from the outset and has caused physical discomfort, including swelling in my legs. This is unacceptable and suggests the product is not fit for purpose.

While I appreciate that Sealy has replaced the panels and foams as a goodwill gesture, the core issue remains unresolved. The mattress is still uncomfortable and unsuitable, and I am requesting a refund.

I understand Sealy does not handle refunds directly and that this falls under the retailer’s jurisdiction. However, I am asking that Sealy acknowledge in writing the findings from the inspection — particularly the potential mis-sale and body impression concerns — so I may pursue a refund directly with Snooze Helensvale.

 Follow-up  · No issues at all for cleaning the mattress. Just a quick go over with the vacuum. The two boys that delivered were polite and friendly and did their job without any fuss. I ordered this type of mattress because I wanted that little bit extra with being firm. My body snugs nicely onto the mattress. I have since rotated that mattress as per the suppliers' instructions and it feel great.

Bought a Sealy Posturepedic queen ensemble (valued at $3598) from Myer in 2021 for my teenage son. The bed comes with 10 years warranty. In 2024, we started noticing one of the long edges of the top mattress collapsed. We contacted Sealy Customer Service Centre in December 2025 hoping to have the edge repaired. Sealy looked at the photos and… Read more

requested us to professionally clean the mattress and remove the stain for work and health safety reason. They also requested evidence (receipt) of the professional cleaning service. When contacting their customer service discussing any alternative solution to professionally cleaning the mattress (to minimise further expenses), the customer service representative insisted that cleaning of the mattress has to be done before they would pick up the mattress. They also commented, simply based on the photos, that there seemed to be some misuse of the bed on our part. They said their beds are not meant to be sat on. I asked for personal inspection (hoping this will prove to them that we have not misused the bed) to which Sealy said there is limited availability of their inspector and I would have to wait until January 2026. It appears that Sealy does not like to send out inspectors to inspect. In the email exchange, Sealy stressed that $240 has to be paid for the top panel replacement before picking up the mattress for inspection. They also said we may have to pay $300 for replacement of spring unit if we are responsible for the bed edge collapse.

From the moment I dealt with Sealy Customer Service, they have presumed that the mattress has been misued by us without proper inspection. While Sealy provides 10 years manufacturer's warranty, they do not genuinely warrant their products. I do not have confidence with Sealy's professionalism based on my recent dealing with their Customer Service. There are so many mattress suppliers on the market. With the stress from dealing with Sealy, people are better off buying cheaper products and replacing with new ones every few years.
