Loud, buzzy fridge. Poor quality compressor – Eventually got too loud (about 18 months since purchase). Long, tiresome story, but this is the replacement fridge, and after a few months, it's gotten too loud again. When the compressor is working (which, today has been all day - put 6 L of room-temperature broth inside to cool / freeze), it's annoyingly loud over music, over the hi-fi, TV, movies, audible from the bedroom... I'm only properly free of the buzz when I'm on the balcony.

Read another review saying that the fridge has a "lazy compressor". I think the compressor is just under spec or poor quality. It worked fine for a while, but too quickly it starts buzzing too loudly. First fridge lasted about 18 months. Second fridge (new, I was told) lasted about 3 months.

Fine for the garage, not for your home.

Purchased in at JB Hi-Fi Retail Stores for $798.

A lazy, but good looking fridge – The job of a fridge/freezer is to typically keep fridge at 3 deg C and freezer around -20 deg C at a reasonably stable state. My first Beko brand new, set on 1C & -16C after 5 days was running about 5.7C and -37C; way out of spec. Im a retired electronics serviceman, so when the fridge compartment was not operating properly for the first 2 days (marginally cooler than 19C ambient) I used temperature meters to determine what the heck was going on. After 5 days it was still out of spec and even used another test setup to ascertain my metering was correct. We buy a fridge to keep food fresh, and if it cant go below 5C then its not being a fridge.

Vendors Extreme Appliances in Albany NZ were extremely good, and ensured that a replacement was sent promptly. After installing the replacement, I found it took 6 days for the fridge which is set to 1C to get there, with freezer hovering between -20 to -35C. I would call this fridge a 'lazy' fridge as it takes so long to settle down. Freezer standard is -20C, but this one goes far below that, consuming unnecessary power in the process, also it can swing the other way eg -7C.

Note for experts - measurements were made considering door opening, and not adding or changing contents excessively.

Like: Looks and stainless does not finger stain. Motor noise is relatively low. Shelves are glass. Interior lighting is excellent. Wine rack sold it for me. Warranty 10 years on compressor and 5 on Fridge.

Dislike: Motor duty cycle is over 80%. No rolling wheels on back for moving (thats really stupid). Compartment temperatures fluctuate excessively. Takes days to reach correct temperatures. An inconvenient ice tray holder, with insufficient sized ice cube maker.

Purchased in for $1,300.
