Good machine – Love this machine and have bought three now - but as soon as the warranty period is up the machine packs in (diferent issues with each one) and I have been unsuccesful in finding someone who might fix them, so landfill it is - shame good machine though easy to use. Show details
Great coffee but hard to clean – Our machine has made great coffee almost every day of the three years we've had it. I couldn't give it five stars due to the difficulty in cleaning it. The components that can be removed are easy to clean but It's very hard to get right in and remove any residual coffee grounds from inside the machine. The milk frother has also slowed down over time so doesn't really produce a very hot product. Show details
Brilliant…until it stopped working – Can’t fault this machine in relation to coffee making. Hands down the closest thing to a real cup of barista made coffee at the press of a button. Easy to tweak the grind and cup size to your own liking and keep clean. Worked brilliantly until it stopped…..two weeks after the two year warranty ran out. Same thing happened to my friend who bought the same machine. Show details
Was good while it lasted – My machine lasted just around 3 years; unfortunately just beyond the 2 year warranty. The internal grinder has stopped working and being extremely compact in design it is not as simple as opening the machine and cleaning anything out or inspecting. Was very simple to use and the coffee was great, the wand however was not so great. Moving forward I will definitely be investing in a machine without a internal grinder Show details
Amazing coffee machine! Well done Beko – I bought almost year ago and still using, very easy to use, making coffee very quick and and love built in coffee grinder. doesn't take too much space like others. small and powerful. after a few months, bought another one for my sister. i would reccommend 100%. Brilliant until the mould started – We've had this coffee machine for approx. 6 months. Started off brilliantly. Really easy to set up and coffee tasted brilliant. Love the small footprint of the machine, design is sleek and modern. Now, despite internal cleaning weekly using vinegar, mould is persistently growing throughout the machine. It's very difficult to see inside the machine… Read more
so I imagine there are mouldy bits I'm not able to see and clean. Another issue is with descaling - the instructions provided are terrible, as far as I'm aware there is no 'beko' descaling product and after using a descaling solution as per the video I found online, the descaling light remains illuminated. The descaling I can live with, but the mould is simply not acceptable and unhealthy. I will be contacting Appliances Online to find out what my options are in terms of a replacement. Update - Appliances Online were helpful and supported me to raise this issue with the manufacturer (Beko). Dealing with Beko not so great, they blamed me for not wiping the machine internally on a daily basis and were initially unwilling to provide a refund. I had to mention consumer protection law/ACCC and they eventually agreed to a refund which I got (after following up again with Appliances Online, Beko moved very slowly and were non responsive via email).
A great alternative to pod machines – UPDATE after 2 years use - if you don’t clean it thoroughly it becomes quite mouldy inside the mechanism. It gets a buildup of coffee grounds which can’t be removed without fiddling with the brew capsule. After cleaning it thoroughly for a few months, a part of it has become slightly dislodged and I can’t figure out how to put it back the way it… Read more
was. Next time I’m going to try to get an easy to clean machine and in the meantime I’ll go back to using pods.
Produces good coffee at the right temperature. Not as good as a commercial espresso machine of course, and probably not as good as a $1000+ machine, but for the price this is a very easy way to make your coffee each day. It does produce a coffee with creame, retains the flavour of fresh beans, and you can vary the grind fineness. The beans container appears to be airtight though small.
It’s less hassle than a pod machine because you don’t have to recycle the pods. If you drink more than one coffee each day it certainly saves a lot of money and will pay for itself in 12 months. It’s very easy to use with a touchscreen on the top of the machine to select your coffee strength, and you can vary the amount of water dispensed with your coffee by holding down the on button. It remembers the amount of water you want in your coffee and will use that consistency each time you press the button to make another coffee. The milk wand works okay too, although I haven’t got it to work as well as a good non-automatic machine yet (only got it yesterday). The appliance manual has very small text so you really have to download it. It’s a good manual though and it doesn’t take long to figure out how to get the best out of the machine after reading it.2
No so easy – First of all very confusing to order from catch, this machine is not as easy as they say, you need a magnifying glass to read the manual, its taken me 3 weeks to work it out, the milk frothier sounds like a steam train, people next door complained, the water runs out very quickly, not bad coffee, cheap machine, but i wouldn't recommend it to my… Read more
