Not cheap but worth it
Not a cheap one, but worth it. First time owning a Jura coffee machine & it’s a great product. Makes a fantastic coffee - superior to other brand coffee machines I've used. Fully automated, easy to use. Only criticism is that occasionally, Empty drip tray" is displayed, I empty it and reinsert and "Empty drip tray" appears again, so I need to wipe any residue before reinserting. Not a big deal but at this price point I wouldn’t expect this kind of issue.
Overall a quality product
Good but pics make no sense
I love my Jura E8 except for one thing. The selection of coffee is based on images against buttons but the images make no sense other than indicating which ones use milk so you know where to put your cup.
Other than that the images are ridiculous. Some show large coffee with light colour, others with dark and smaller cups and others with coffee bean on top. When you try each one there is no correlation between the picture and what you get.
Coffee is great but...
Had the E8 for 30 months now. 1 week after the 24 month expiry was up the machine came up with error code 2. To their credit Jura Aus did organise repair under warranty which I was grateful for. Now after 30 months the water pump has failed, I get little/no coffee output. I have contacted Jura but they are not interested and advised to go to the same company who fixed the machine previously directly, i.e. at my cost. My point in this review is that to have a machine of this expense have 2 major failures in under 3 years of life is not acceptabl
... Read moree, be warned. I addition as a further warning or consideration, the ongoing cost of maintaining the machine in accordance with their guidelines is huge. You need: water filters ($30+ 3 or more times per year), descaling cleaner (1-2 a month depending on use), milk system cleaner (after every use) , coffee system cleaner (2-3 times per month dependent on use), honestly I think it would be nearly cheaper to buy rather than make your own!Great Coffee and easy to use
We have owned our Jura E8 for around 12 months. We initially had a fault code come up after 2 weeks of use and was unsure of the quality. The company arranged a courier to collect and repair. Since then, its been hassle free and we use it daily. The after sales support was great in getting it fixed

A truly exception machine from an exceptional company.
My previous Jura machine, the Ena 7, lasted 12 years! There was absolutely nothing wrong with it, I just wanted a bright, new, shiny machine that had all the bells and whistles. So I came here, looked at the reviews, went to the Jura site, looked at the reviews and being satisfied that this was the machine for me, went ahead and bought it. I had a minor problem with it, so I contacted Jura, they sent me to Cafe Corporate in Myaree (Perth) and they serviced it and voila, magnificent coffee. Jeff from Cafe Corporate helped me pick the perfect cof
... Read morefee for the machine as they roast their own beans and make bespoke beans (mainly for Jura) as they are the agent for them, so I’m now drinking medium roasted, full bodied beans instead of the strongest I could find, cause the grinder doesn’t need that to make a strong delicious coffee. I drink black espressos and this machine makes the best, smoothest espresso I’ve ever tasted, with the bestest crema on top, no bitter after taste and always leaves me with a wanting more taste in my mouth. There are enough styles of coffees for most people, the flat white is the most popular for white coffee drinkers in my house, the foam and flavour is just right apparently, but the cappuccino is still fabulous for those that like the cafe style. When I want something a little bigger, the straight coffee is excellent, still strong and hot and about 100 mls is how I have it. You can change the settings to however you like your coffee, I have factory setting for most, but I have changed them all to hot instead of normal and I’ve changed the coffee setting to 100ml instead of 60ml and made the coffee stronger. Play around with the settings, you can always change it back to factory settings. The screen tells you what kind of coffee you are having providing you go to settings and change it, otherwise you just get pictures and that’s a bit difficult to figure out, not sure why it’s not the default, but that’s about my only whinge. Anyway, if you have any problems, the customer service people at Jura go above and beyond to help you because they are really proud of their product and they really, really want you to be happy. They bent over backwards to make sure I was happy with my machine and were just wonderful, so thank you Jura (J is silent btw) people is pronounced Ura and hopefully I’ll have many more years with this machine!Great customer sevice
Very happy with the customer service.
One downside is to clean milk system manually every few days otherwise can spit milk outside cup ( 2-3 minutes job)
Coffee temperature can be customised.
Coffee personal Profiles (more than 24) can be saved in mobile app when using wifi connect.

Bought this machine paid just over $2000 4 years ago until recently having some issues so checked if still under warranty luckily had product care but what i didnt know is that cockroaches love coffee machines my house is pretty clean and i dont have a cockroach issue in my home bar the occassional that everyone gets. So i sent the machine for repair under warranty. Funally Jura got back after quite some time and declined the repair due to cockroaches. When i saw photos i was gob smacked and disgusted after talking to jura and repairer they sai
... Read mored coffee machines are known for this they are breeding zone for cockroaches. So my warranty was voided. I can not verify if it really is because of cockroaches or if the machine is truly faulty. I would never buy another machine and dont see the value in something so expensive having issues a few years later. And fyi you cannot stop the cockroaches getting inside. So take this advise before purchasing one if u can afford to spend 900 every couple of years to clean and repair then it is for u. I will never buy one againNo labels to coffee types, just pictures.
Lovely machine and makes good coffee if one can make out which coffee is which from the pictures on the screen. Not being experts on coffee types, we would find it useful to have the type under each picture on the scree.
Show detailsHad a Jura before
So we had a Jura machine two machines ago. Just bought the E8 yesterday and had to laugh, makes great coffee but I'd forgotten about the luke warm milk... make the coffee and into the microwave for 20 seconds to get the temp right! Honestly I'd have thought Jura would have fixed this in say the last 20 years!... can someone please mention to the Swiss that not everyone on the planet has short blacks... Flat whites, lattes and cappuccinos do exist! Using a microwave to finish off a coffee from a $2500 machine is a little underwhelming!

Be aware if you need to have the machine fixed or maintained then you need to get it to Melbourne
A fact that is not so apparent is repairs and routine maintenance (bean grinder, etc) is performed out of Melbourne, or in the case in Sydney the option is out of Newcastle. While the machine is fantastic to make a coffee, actually hard to go past in making a coffee the routine maintenance supply chain is just not in place leading to high cost to transport and the risk of damage to the unit from couriers .

Not bad at all...
We bought this machine Jura E8 on the sales pitch JURA "only" make coffee machines, not blenders, microwaves, toasters etc etc.. My partner and I are enjoying the coffee it makes, the different type of beans available play a BIG roll on flavours to your coffee..
But, we do have 2 slight issues with it.
We can not adjust the frother, this model does not have a lever to adjust the froth.
It's to much froth, especially if you are only having a flat white, cappuccinos"perfect".
The 2nd issue is the coffee/milk spout while cleaning makes a mess, it catches some and the rest leaves a little splash on the table.
So besides that we are very satisfied..

Great machine
Very easy to use and clean.
I think it does take time to experiment with all the different coffee types but easy instructions. We received some sample coffee too and prefer the original Jura blend. The temperature is not as hot as we would like but that may be to do with the milk temperature. The milk frother is too much but not sure how to change this.

Questions & Answers
When using ground coffee on Jura e8 it says machine filling but no coffee comes out but works normal when grinding coffee

Hi I just bought the new Jura E8 how do you name the coffees on the screen?
To do that, press next to the cog wheel down the bottom left hand corner on the front of the screen, that will take you to a green cog which is settings, press the square next to it, press next to the arrow in the green screen down the bottom right, press next to product name, press active and save. That’s it, then press the back arrow until you get back to the front screen again. This is all in the instructions, maybe read that section cause that also tells you where to position your favourite drinks and a few other tips.
Hi Matt, the instructions in the comments above are correct (Thanks for your help Vyonne). You can activate "Product name" in settings to see what coffees are on the screen. If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact our Customer Support team on 1300 285 872. Kind regards | JURA Australia.

Hi, we have just purchased a Jura E8 machine to replace an old Saeco Exprellia. The E8 works well however not being able to control the amount of milk foam is becoming frustrating. The salesman did say if we bought the more expensive one you got a tap, and I see the previous model had a tap as well.
Is this issue able to be resolved, for the amount of money we spent you would expect some control of the foam.
Go into setting select product and u can change what u need to make your perfect cuppa
Hi James, thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately, the E8 model you purchased does not have the ability to adjust or control the milk foam consistency. The model best suited for this option would be either the S8 or Z10 machine. The salesperson did give you the correct information. This particular model is one of several machines where the milk foam consistency cannot be adjusted. Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with. Leoni, JURA Support
It is impossible to know what a machine does without using it. Why can’t Jura just make a tap to got the E8 like the previous model? Looks like it would cost about $10 to convert the old one to fit?
