Amazing quality espresso from an automatic!
I drink mainly double espresso and I buy my beans from Patricia’s in Melbourne. I am constantly amazed at how close the S8 gets to the coffee from the baristas.

Disappointing purchase
I bought this coffee machine a few months ago, and it’s been faulty twice!! An error (error 22) popped up and last time didn’t work anymore!! It was sent away for a repair, came back after a month with broken parts. Still waiting for new parts (Two months now! ). There is no guarantee that this doesn’t happen again! I absolutely regret buying this expensive machine:(
Love this machine.
We love our lattes in the mornings and we have no regrets buying this machine. We wanted something that was easy to use and made great coffee. We previously owned two delonghi machines and we decided to try this one as the manager at the store recommended it. It was a little dearer but we were happy to try it and when we add up how many coffees we have made/maintenance products/beans times the price of buying one in the shop 2-3 times a day it has nearly paid for itself.
So far we have had this machine for 8 months. I am glad we purchased it.

Software Screen Update
I own a S8 and recently purchased an S8 for work.
The only difference appears to be the touch screen cleaning pictures.
My machine has the picture Liquid milk cleaner, my work machine has the pallet picture.
Is there a way to update the screen on my machine? I do have it connected.
App version: Version 3.1.6 Build (542082346)
File version of the machine: 28.06.22

Touch screen freezes. Jura customer service amazing
Few problems to start with but jura customer service were amazing. Replaced item within 2 days. Will see how this one goes and will update in 3 months. When it was working, as good as any coffee I've ever had and I've drank coffee all over the world.

Excellent coffee machine
Very good coffee machine that makes great coffee. It takes a few goes at getting your coffee settings and requirements right. This machine allows you to take control of exactly how you want your coffee with an easy use touch screen with loads of scope for adjustments(strength, temp, quantity). My first Jura machine lasted 17 years and I hope this machine will do the same. Jura make quality machines like no other! You will not be disappointed with Jura.

A great coffee machine and easy to operate
The quality of the coffee produced is very good. The quality is consistent , but l find the factory setting re the temperature of the coffee is on the cooler side. Heating could be increased.

Love the product. Love the Coffee
We had our Jura Impressa J5 for over ten years and used it everyday. With a clean and a service it would probably live on, but we decided to buy a new S8 glad we did, we love it.

Fabulous Coffee every time!
The Jura S8 was easy to operate from the first. Having used manual, then pods and now this machine it seems to be the best of both worlds. Different grinding options, choose your own blends, select your coffee style etc.

Questions & Answers
1. I am considering getting one of these machines. Can it make coffee from beans, and then make decaffeinated using pre-ground coffee? I drink normal coffee and my partner drinks decaf, so if it can do both without any cleaning and mucking around that would be great.
2. Can you adjust the tamp pressure?
3. What is the monthly cost of consumables, assuming 4 coffees per day?
Hi Nick, thank you for your questions, I am happy to answer these for you.
1. Yes, all our JURA Coffee machines are designed to make both drinks with fresh beans or pre-ground coffee, which suits the needs of botch caffeine and decaf fans.
2. The pressure with which your coffee is being made cannot be adjusted, however, the temperature, strength of coffee and amount are changeable.
3. This depends on the drinks you like to consume if they are milk-based drinks you need to perform a milk-system clean at the end of the day to prevent the pipes from congesting with build-up milk, otherwise, you would need a filter to prevent the machine from descaling and a clean about once a month. The cost per month should be under 100 AUD for the maintenance. We find that 1kg of beans lasts most of our customers a month, but that again depends on the strength you consume and the amount. I hope this helps you make a decision regarding our S8. Kind regards, Anna from JURA Australia
Thank you for the prompt response, Anna!
Hi Nick, looks like Anna has answered your questions before I could. The Jura machine will accept pre-ground coffee beans (Decaf) the built in grinder is a single feed system, there fore you would need to empty the grinder before refilling with another type of bean. The cleaning of the machine needs to be performed after each session of use, this is not very time consuming (just a few minutes) and every cup is worth the effort. The ability to adjust and personalise your coffee requirements is an excellent feature, you can rename it and save it! If you really enjoy coffee then Jura is the machine for you. I had my first Jura machine for 14 years with no issues until the boiler failed.
I hope this helps.
Not quite correct. You can empty the beans out of the hopper but you won't be able to get them out of the grinder. If you use the pre ground Shute you won't be able to get the non used coffee out of the grinder either. On both occasions you will have to totally use what ever is in the machine before you can change to the other. Either way you will get a small bit of cross contamination.
You can adjust the temp but I have found that the preset temperatures are just perfect. Different drinks have different temperatures and they are set to perfection.
You will have to clean the milk system on average after every 2 milk drinks which is just a case of running water through the milk system. Very easy ans the machine does most of it at the push of a button. You'll just need to add a bit more water half way through and press next.
The $100/month maintenance cost seems to me to be a bit high (i think way less)but I will know more in a few weeks.
Coffee beans ive made approx 30 250 ml cups and used almost 1/2 kg coffee. For me this is quite inexpensive as my daughter works at a coffee wholesaler. I get premium coffee beans for around 90% off retail. I must say nobody in the family has bought a coffee since I bought the machine.
It will pay for itself within a month or two
I've noticed that the Jura S8 is sometimes listed as MPN15433 and another shop calls it MPN15228.
There must be a difference, even though they are both called the S8.
What's the difference?
Sorry No Idea
Hi Meng, great question. The S8 has two versions. Article number 15228 was the first version released in 2018. Article number 15443 was released this year and now comes with the new professional aroma grinder. We hope this helps. Kind Regards, JURA Australia
Thank you. I thought all S8 has the aroma grinder, but thanks for clearing that up.
Hi Meng, article number 15228 had the Aroma G3 Grinder. Kind Regards, JURA Australia
My S8 keeps shutting down, now it will not start again any suggestions?
Hi Kyle, Thank you for your question could you kindly confirm a couple points.
1- Is turning itself while making coffee or rising?
2- Is there any leaks under the machine?
3 - Any error codes showing?
Look forward to hearing from you to resolve this issue.
Kind Regards
