electrical problem just out of warranty, no help from the agent, – no help from agent out of warranty not our problem the service agent closes to you that the feeling I got nothing else, I wouldn't buy this brand of fridge or would i recommend this brand to any one Show details
Very poor – Cheaply made so shelves crack and split. It broke down within warranty and when our fridge mechanic called Beko they told him to just regas and leave it as it would soon be out of warranty! He believed it was a reconditioned model, something we were not told on purchase. We managed to get a replacement but had to get this brand so we are stuck with it. Never again. It's not easy to clean either.
IMPRESSED! (Now 4 years old - Changeable door opening) – Beko DN143120X Top Mount Fridge. (Now nearly 4 years old so a proven review) We had to have a 'fridge with R.H. opening doors which cut down or brand options (luckily) right down. We had been Westinghouse devotee but couldn't find one to fit our dimensions above 400 Ltrs. let alone R.H. opening. The only other comparable to Beko was an Electrolux… Read more
as I recall (This 'Fridge is now nearly 4 years old) but by comparison far too expensive.
We had never heard of Beko so when we looked it up we found that even then it was the No.1 selling appliance brand in Europe so we went for it!
It was easy for me to change the door opening from left to right, the Stainless Steal door is 'finger-print protected' which actually works.
There is LED lighting also in the Freezer.
Dual Temp. controls in the later model.
Both doors have 'open' alarms.
Active odor filter - must work, never any odors although we're meticulous with rotation and cleaning.
Active seal control - always as clean as a whistle!
Clever swivel crisper with humidity control, separator and tray.
Spill proof glass shelves.
Plenty of door storage and for large bottles.
All in all a terrific QUIET AS package that we bought (then) for only $870 as I recall from Bing Lee at Erina.
Being happy with it is an UNDERSTATEMENT!
A new logo:- BETTER BUY BEKO!
Great value fridge for the price – This fridge replaced a 15 year old LG 520l fridge. 3 adults use this fridge. The first thing I noticed when we got this is how quiet it is. Even when the compressor is working harder it isn't very loud at all. The fridge has a good energy efficiency rating. We did buy a smaller fridge as we had a smaller gap and this fitted in perfectly… Read more · 1
with room around the edges. I did notice it had clear plastic shelves on the door but I've noticed so do all the modern ones these days and they have not broken yet and I have tried to bend them with my hands to check . The negatives are we have to put some of the milk bottles on the glass shelves but it isn't a huge issue. Also cannot fit an iceberg lettuce in the crisper but again we put it in a circular plastic container on the top shelf and it is fine. The crisper divider does look flimsy but still is ok after 2 months. The glass shelves are thinner than our old fridge but can hold a lot and haven't broken yet.
The fridge has a very good layout despite being smaller. It has 3 shelves plus you can put some smaller items on top of the plastic crisper area. It also has a handy swing out butter container thing behind the fridge shelves. The freezer is good. Cannot fit a 4 litre ice cream tub in plus a ton of items but that isn't a major issue just buy a smaller container of icecream or no icecream. The ice maker is similar to brand named ones. Twist and turn and hey presto ice is there. I was able to fit a cake in a box in the top shelf and close the fridge so that layout is quite ok.
I live in a subtropical climate and have the dial on 3 when the fridge is moderately full and it keeps it at 3 to 4 deg. Freezer at -18 or less so no issues there. Finger print marks can occur near the handles but just simple wipe with a damp cloth and water and they're gone.
All in All a decent fridge for that price and significantly cheaper than some of the more established brands of a a similar size. So far the quality hasn't come across as being lesser.
Good Money for Value and Decent Energy rating – This fridge is good value to buy and have decent energy rating compare to the other similar brand fridges. Love the stainless steel made that has make this fridge looks premium from the outside. Door alarm is a bonus feature for me and I like how the vege box structured to open.
Problem straight from delivery day – Bought this fridge online from Bing Lee. They delivered today but I noticed that there were cracks on the plastic frame around the fridge door. Looks like there's been stress on the plastic. It was on the top of the door as well as the bottom. Luckily I noticed it in front of the delivery driver and he was able to verify the damage with the… Read more
warehouse and take photos etc.
It's not a very good first impression for a $900 fridge. I didn't realise Beko is such a budget brand, because this is what you expect from cheap manufacturers.
So they offered us to get Beko to come and replace the door/faulty part as soon as possible. How long that will take is anyone's guess...
Please make sure you inspect the fridge when it gets delivered to make sure there are no damaged parts.
If this is the problem with a brand new delivered fridge, I'm not looking forward to the next year or 2.
This fridge is perfect for my husband & me – I have had my fridge for 6 months. It keeps perfect temperature, love the temperature gauge which informs me how the temperature is being maintained. Very good internal layout, love the crisper with the blue light that definitely keeps my fruit & vegies fresher for longer and the meat keeper draw where you separate meat from other food. Has not faltered in this very hot weather.
