Works well but flimsy parts
Top Mount GT-442 SeriesI bought this fridge 2 years & 1 month ago because it fit the space we had. It has been pretty good for refrigeration and is easy to clean, but the build quality is not great.
As others have noted, the outside dents very easily and the crisper drawer can't be pulled out enough for a lettuce unless you push the door back past 90°.

... Read moreout that "pull out shelf" less than 5 times since we got the fridge, so it's not wear and tear, just unfit for load bearing. I'm concerned about the rest of the shelves now, but have ordered a replacement shelf in hopes the rest of the fridge will survive a reasonable length of time. The freezer struggles to freeze items at the front of the unit when they're put in but the main part is ok. The ice cube trays are useless and a huge waste of space. It's impossible to get most of the ice cubes to tip out into the container beneath. Replaced that part with normal ice cube trays instead to increase available freezer space. Overall, I would probably recommend buying another fridge unless you really need one with these dimensions.

Very Noisy Fridge and Incredibly Poor Customer Sevice Team
441L Top Mount GT-442SDC (Stainless Steel)It's been noisy from the start but I thought I'd contact the Good Guys later. I called the Good Guys Belconnen (26/08), met with an 'I don't care' woman, who said they couldn't do anything because of the lockdown. Called again the next day, and the lady, who was really nice, logged in the job for me with LG.
From then, multiple calls to LG with each customer care team member told me from their script sthat I'd look into it personally then nothing until I got really upset...Finally, they passed to their contract repairer, Tech1 but did not forw

I had to resend Tech1 recordings which they had to pass to LG to confirm which parts they need to order...Long story short, Tech1 finally arrived to inspect/fix on 22/09/201. They could not fix it and gave me a report to confirm it's a noisy compressor and said they would escalate to LG. Heard nothing back after 2 working days so I called LG and they said they haven't got the service report from Tech1. I sent the report to LG via email (LG acknowledged it this time), but then Tech1 called me and said LG wanted to have a VIDEO, not just recordings- why would they need to video. I had to call LG again{ as I haven't recorded a video of my fridge, (Note: when I tried to record a video later the size became too big for email anyway). The poor LG guy on the phone told me they had everything they need and would get back to me Monday or Tuesday next week...In the meantime, I contiue to suffer from this lemon of a fridge. LG, get your house in order please...I have messaged my number on the LG Australia review. Thanks.

441L Top Mount GT-442WDC (White)Love this fridge,it is spacious, bright lighting inside. Strong shelves and runs very quitely.The doors are easy to open and close and the fridge beeps if you have accidently left a door open. Great fridge, great price.

Very, very disappointed
441L Top Mount GT-442SDC (Stainless Steel)I wrote a very positive review on this product about 9 months ago but feel it necessary to write another review now. Love the fridge BUT the door of the fridge have small 'dents' that seem to appear over night. We are in our 70s with no pets, no children and very clean and house-proud but so disappointed that this fridge dents so easily. Hate to see what it's going to look like in 5 years time. Would never have bought this knowing this problem. Also I totally agree with other reviews about the vegetable crisper down the bottom - the fridge door prevents you from opening the crisper wide enough to get anything in it properly - you literally have to remove the crisper just to get your vegies in and out. Total design fail.

Wish I never bought this fridge
442L Top Mount GT-442BPL (Platinum Silver)Bought on 27/09/17, plastic fan in freezer compartment broke on august 2019, now after getting it fixed it’s broken again December 2020, have to wait 2 weeks for tech to look at it so I’m going to throw it out and never buy an LG fridge ever again nor will I recommend anyone to buy one, 3 years old and needs a 3rd fan, not to mention the inconvenience of not having a fridge for days on end because of waiting for technicians,

Love it! Spacious and strong shelves
441L Top Mount GT-442SDC (Stainless Steel)Like the design, colour etc and very easy to open and close the fridge. It beeps if it is left open for little bit longer. So spacious and keeps good temperature control.

441L Top Mount GT-442WDC (White)Paper THIN DENTS easy! i have treated this with kid gloves since owning to avoid this very thing and without trying dents appear never seen anything like it.. so cheaply made :( Thin PLASTIC inside cracks but even Worse the vegetable drawer barely opens enough it doesnt hold enough for 2 people but as i said it doesnt open enough to fit a lettuce in there even. you have to dis engage the drawer to get that in there.. they were out to lunch on this new inverter design and quality.. never again LG...

Love the fridge but make sure the door is on the right side as it cant be swapped.
442L Top Mount GT-442BPLE (Dark Graphite)Maintains constant temperature. Doors are easy to open so great for older people. Easy to keep clean. Price wise it was a bargain for what you actually get. Would thoroughly recommend this fridge.

LG FRIDGE IS NOT RELIABLE
442L Top Mount GT-442BPL (Platinum Silver)I bought this fridge around August 2017. 2 months ago its door shelf is cracked although we used it gently. 1 month ago its leg support is cracked. I do not have enough time to buy a new fridge, and I do not want to use this fridge as a cracked door shelf preventing the door to close. LG provides a two-year warranty, and I need to pay around 100 dollars for replacing these parts. I do not recommend any LG product to people because of this experience.

Very good fridge at this Price
441L Top Mount GT-442SDC (Stainless Steel)Purchased this fridge from the good guys for $890 including the delivery. Very good fridge, considering the size and capacity of the fridge. Been working good until now. Compared with the samsung fridge, this fridge has space for bottles at the bottom of the door.

Adequate for a 3-person family
Top Mount GT-442 SeriesHave had this fridge for a couple of years. No complaints as far as temperature is concerned - it seems to keep a reasonable temp in all compartments, temp is easy to change if needed. The main thing I would say is that it's just adequate in size for our family (two adults, one toddler). We eat a lot of fruit/veg and they don't always fit in the crisper, and if we're entertaining, fridge can be a tight fit. Things can get cramped in the freezer too (tend to freeze a lot of things with a toddler).

You have to be careful about knocking the door because it dents easily (we have some dents from a side cupboard opening onto the fridge). The other thing that irritates me is that the door wants to swing closed when it's open and I'm trying to fill the crisper. Suppose it's good because the door won't be left open accidentally but it's a little annoying. I like the little manual ice maker in the freezer - comes in handy.

442L Top Mount GT-442BPL (Platinum Silver)I has been close to 2 years since I got this fridge and zero complaints so far. Maintains a constant temperature and runs pretty quite. Wish the egg trays were bigger and the fridge was lit from the sides.

what is physical size of this fridge
We have 2 year old LG 441 Top Mount. compressor is very noisy with vibration, started shortly after purchasing and then stopped noise. Has started again now. Technician came out and said rubber mount isn't dampening vibration. He suggested putting cardboard under the wheel (doesn't stop it). He said maybe could get another rubber mount but might be part of whole compressor. Anyone else have this problem and how can it be fixed?
