Beko DV6120X / DV7220X Questions & Answers
VerifiedWhat would cause the dryer not to go the other way in it cycle of drying
Hello Kathylynne, I apologize for the delay but I was waiting for my tech supervisor to get back with me regarding the reversal of the dryer. This is what I found out. The dryer is equipped with a reverse drum function that is activated for a specific duration during the drying cycle. While in reverse mode, the dryer does not actively dry the clothing. This reverse function operates at intervals of 728 seconds or every 12 minutes (approx) , with the drum reversing for a period ranging from 4 to 8 seconds. This process generally yields between 1 to 4 reverse drum rotations. Upon completion of this phase, the dryer will resume spinning in the regular direction. My dryer has power and the door is closed and the filters clean but it keeps beeping when i push start.
Replace v belt on dryer
Can the Beko DV6120x dryer sit upside down on top of a washing machine and operate without any probloems. Could be our best solution as the door is not reversible. Glenn
is the door on this model beko dv6120x reversible as it does not come with a hole on the other side for the door switch or hinge hangers
I've had my Beko DV6120X dryer for a few years now and I clean the filter every time I use it, which is not that often. Now after aprox 10 minutes of drying the green light comes on and tells me to clean the filter, I check the filter and clean out what little bit of lint there is, turn it back on only to have the same thing happen again 10 minutes later. I've wiped out any lint where the filter lives, it's driving me nuts, what's going on with it"??
I have the same issue
Can you vent this dryer in an internal cupboard style laundry to the exhaust fan?
Is this wall mountable.
No, this model is not wall mountable. It has the exhaust vent outlet at the back of the dryer and comes with a ducting kit to allow you to vent the dryer exhaust outside through a wall or window. There is a stacker kit that allows you to stack the dryer on top of a Beko front load washer of similar size but that must be purchased separately.
Technician replaced belt today and now the machine won’t heat or dry. Any help?
When the technician replaced the belt and refitted the rear panel it looks like they forgot to reconnect the heater coil plugs. They are on the bottom left corner of the unit when looking at it from the back. This is something that is easily fixed and the technician should be asked to come back and rectify it at no cost. This is something that the technician should have checked before leaving the job.
Thanks so much
Had this dryer for a few years now and it's always been a great unit, yes the courtesy light inside the drum flashes but no one has ever been able to tell me why and it never affected performance. That being said it's now started squealing like a banshee and it appears that the ceramic bearing on the back of the drum is the cause of the noise. Obviously being a dryer and having a ceramic sleeve bearing there you don't want to use any oils or standard grease that will burn or catch fire. I used some Extreme Temp Ceramic Grease for brakes on the bearing and spindle which did make it stop squealing for a little bit but I'm guessing that the rollers on front side of the drum need a bit of love too and the spindle bearing may need replacing if it still persists. All up it's been fairly well behaved and gets used almost constantly so I'd definitely buy another if this one ever does pack it in completely.
Clothes dryers to fit a cavity 880mm high, 590mm wide and 650mm deep?
My Beko DV6120X was making squeaky noises then eventually drum stopped spinning, checked the belt and is intact I’m assuming next port of call was the rear axle or spindle?? The part that sits smack bang in middle of drum at the rear, I manually tried rotating the drum after removing the back cover and top. Is it a rear axl/spindle issue? If so can anyone offer advice?
can the dryer be wall mounted upside down above the washing machine
Hi Allan Hall, Thank you for your enquiry. All of our dryer models are designed to be either placed on a solid surface such as the floor or on top of a washing machine using a stacking kit in situ. They cannot be mounted on the wall due to the weight of the machine.
Addressing this to the Beko person who responded to your question... Just hoping you can provide a bit of info on the issue of these machines squealing as mentioned in other posts above ^^^ is this commonly a bearing issue or a motor issue or both?
can the dryer be hung upside down on the wall
Filter light is on and making a Loud vibrating noise But still dries. Very loud any ideas???
My beko dryer won't spin After 2 years of owning it It turns on goes to click over but won't spin to dry. Not happy and I won't recommend
Why doesn't my Beko dryer completely dry my clothes? I always have to turn to the dryer again . I have cleaned the filters
We've found that our Beko dryer tends to err on the side of caution when it comes to the automatic sensor functions. Probably not a bad thing, but I can see how it could be annoying. I guess it's just an operating characteristic of the machine.
Do you need to use the hose on the back?? Our laundry only has 2 doors and no windows and I really don't want the house open if I am using it of a night time.
If you want to leave a spot on your laundry wall where the paint starts peeling off, then go for it. This is an operating characteristic of most entry-level dryers. Many of these just dump condensation through a grille on the front door. At least the hose gives the user a chance to direct the vapour into a particular spot.
It may be a bit late now, but for a house with a laundry where there's limited ventilation opportunities, a condenser dryer is well worth the extra money. Another option would be to install an exhaust fan in your ceiling (if you're an owner-occupier) and point the hose at it. Hope that helps.
All good...it is in another room and the hose goes out the window when I use it. Not the best dryer tho it keeps playing up and I have already had it fixed once.
Have this model need new rubber belt can I install this myself?
It looks easy enough to change the belt over. I've taken the back of my machine off a couple of times to oil the drum pulley spindle, and it looks like the belt is easy enough to get to. BTW: if you want to change the belt to try and solve a noisy drum issue, try some 3-in-1 oil on the drum pulley spindle. It should quieten the machine down for a while.
Does this dryer have a reversable door? Mine opens the wrong way for my laundry?
I don't believe so, and I don't think it's wall mountable either, so no option to turn it upside down to reverse the way the door opens. Check with your local appliance shop though, I could be wrong or they might have a model with either reversable door or wall mount(upside down) options.
Thanks Steve, I know it's not mountable, as my old Hoover was, but bought a stand for it (with a drawer in it) so it's the right height for my crook back
