Piece of junk – It has worked well for 2 years - but now is causing lots of trouble: intermittent switching on/off, not switching on. The power supply sold with the unit gives 13.5V, not 12V, so I bought a 12V regulated supply. Does not work with that! Mysteriously it now works - sometimes - with a 11.5V supply. Hanging on now. Very annoyed with purchase price $200+
very reliable – I had this modem for 7 years & it never missed a beat! It was never turned off (not including moving house & blackouts) & I've never had to power-cycle it (except for after blackouts). I've never had a problem with interference I can't recommend this router/modem enough, even though mine is now semi-retired (I need 802.11N for streaming), this is still a good unit for browsing, emails, downloading, etc.
I still use this unit for my guest network & it has yet to fail me & I'v kinda fallen in Love with it :)
I work I'm & IT technician & to find a unit as failsafe as this is rare. reliability, ease to setup the colour
Excellent – I use this modem/router myself as was purchased from iiNet online from my members section. Setup was simple and a good experience as all the settings are already in place all you need to provide is the username and password. As for VoIP just the VoIP number and the state you live in. My connection personally works perfectly, getting good download speeds and good call quality and good response. All in all an excellent product for the home or small business. Excellent VoIP clarity and sound - also comes with backup PSTN regular phone line port in case the VoIP service is down it automatically switches to the fixed phone line service, good stable data transfer speeds, Wireless is stable and can link other computers provided it is set up, and support is there for every possible aspect the product offers. Setup CD does not work with Windows Vista/ Windows Vista x64, had to use the alternative by opening my web browser and typing up 10.1.1.1 to enter setup, still a breeze with an easy to use interface for setup.
Excellent – I've had this unit since Feb 2007 and havent had any trouble. I'm not that pc savvy in that I know how to use word, excel, outlook, powerpoint and browsing the web on IE and Firefox but when any problems happen I have to call someone to help with the technical stuff so having a piece of equipment that doesnt cause any problems is a blessing to me. Simple and easy to use big footprint
Terrible – This modem is good if it works properly but unfortunately for the vast majority of people it does not. I work the hardware department of a company that distributes this modem to our users. We get a lot of warranty returns for this particular model. On a given week we process about 240 replacements for this model of belkin. Sometimes they are faulty right out of the box. This modem is also expensive. My advice is if you're on ADSL2+ find out what chipset your provider uses for their dslams and get a modem with the same chipset and you will have no problems! It works well if you are lucky enough to get one that works properly Expensive and not reliable. You'll be lucky to have it last more than 2 years.
