We used Bellamy's for our first born successfully and decided to use it again for our second. We had no problems up until they changed the formula just recently. Literally gave her the first bottle on the new formula and an hour later she's throwing up everywhere... Yeah, I think I'll bin the two other cans. Edit: tried adding just 1 scoop of the… Read more

new formula to the old formula (2 scoops old, 1 scoop new) and again, vommiting about an hour later. We have started to introduce another brand of formula instead, before we run out of our old can of Bellamy's, we have had no issues and will transition to this brand instead. Very sad, we were huge fans of Bellamy's!

Due to having a low supply we've been using Bellamy's Organic for 10.5 months now. I did previously use it with another child also. I love that it's Australian made, very disappointed that the Bellamy's sold to a Chinese company as Australian Owned is just as important as Australian Made but I digress. The new formulation for Stage 2 now contains… Read more

We tired Bellamy formula one night as we had been out all day for appointments and I was running low on breast milk. We gave our little bubby 50 mils and minutes later she went into severe anaphylactic attack. This resulted in having to call the ambulance and 4 shots of adrenaline and hydrocortisone due to also having a rash all of her body that… Read more

wouldn't settle. It's really surprising how something created for babies could cause an anaphylactic reaction. I have cows milk all the time so I thought the organic choice would be appropriate, but this formula obviously contains more than we are aware of so will be getting the contents of it tested to find out what it really in the formula. I definitely would not recommend this formula and am so glad we reacted in time for our little bubby because who knows what would have happened.

Not for us! Too much gas! – My premmie daughter who was exclusively breast fed transitioned onto Bellamy’s. At the start we were happy but as we increased the amount she was having during the day (more formula feeds than breastmilk). We noticed she became reallllly gassy. Explosive poops and farting all day, this was very unlike her ! Overtime her discomfort has been overwhelming so unfortunately this one just isn’t for us. Show details

Gave my baby full body rash, fever and upset tummy – Put my 8 month old on the follow on formula and he broke out with a horrible rash, fever and diarrhoea. Put him back on his old formula and he is back to normal and fine after a few days. Only made the change because his current formula is only really available online and can be difficult to get. I even had to take my baby into hospital because… Read more

I wish I came on here and saw how many bad reactions this formula has caused, the package is so misleading of being quite natural and good for your baby. This has been the worst week ever

My toddler develop a rash! – I started to give this milk to my baby when he turned 1year old. It was okay until this month, I thought my toddler just don't want to drink milk coz he was a bit sick, and then I noticed that he doesn't want to finish his milk anymore, he was refusing all the bottles I give him then one day when he wakes up he had small red spots in his face and… Read more

  Step 2 Follow-on Formula

Baby liked it until it was out of stock! Time to switch brand – My son is almost 8 months old. He drank Bellamy's stage 1(NEW formulation) as a supplement for the first 6 months. He seemed to like the taste and had no issue with it. He was a premmie (32 weeks) and the formula had done a good job. When he turned 6 months, we switched to stage 2(NEW formulation). He was happy with the change, took it straight… Read more

away like it's stage 1, no tummy upset or anything.

2 weeks later, the NEW formula was no longer avilable in the shops. Coles, Woolworths, Chemists warehouse, all out. So I ordered online. I had never seen the OLD formula in Coles, Woolworths or Chemist warehouse so I was expecting to get the NEW formulation buying direct from the manufacturer, just like in the shops.

Instead, we got 3 tins of OLD stage 2 formula(manufactured in May 2018) My baby absolutely hated the OLD formula, he was fussy and constipated. I was going to send them back but I already opened the tin and thought I would try it for a couple of days. After two days of him not taking the formula, I had to rush out and buy another brand formula. He took the other formula straight away.

The NEW Stage 2 has been out of stock for 2 months. And the OLD formulation is lacking DHA, ARA and GOS. To me, the OLD formulation is a far inferior formula. I don't understand why Australians are forced to take the OLD stock. Actually, I do.

We have no choice but to switch to another brand.

  Step 1 Infant Formula

I really wanted this to work – Unfortunately after I gave birth, I soon realised that I was unable to sufficiently breast feed and after spending days with difficulties and an unsettled newborn I moved onto formula feeding. When I went in stores, this formula caught my eye straight away and after reading the tin and reading all the marvellous reviews I was so excited to give… Read more

this a try and had such high hopes. Within 4 weeks of sticking to this formula, my baby was in so much pain and was so unhappy. He absolutely loved the taste and had no problem drinking his bottles. He slept amazingly, was going for 3-4 hours between bottles. But he suffered from so much wind and had major problems trying to digest this formula. His poo stayed the right consistency and colour, but he strained so hard every time and went red in the face and screamed a lot. I knew it was the formula disagreeing with his digestive system. I knew this because after trying many colic treatments, soothing techniques, leg movements and seeking advice from health professionals, I moved him onto another formula (still cow milk) and he was much better. I also knew it was this formula because after 6 weeks being on the new formula, despite him no longer suffering, he was always so so hungry and it felt like the new formula was not sufficient or filling him. I tried giving him bigger bottles, but he was 8 and 9 weeks old feeding every 2 hours 24/7 on formula 150mls. So being exhausted and out of curiosity, I wanted to try Bellamy’s again and I hoped that maybe his digestive system had improved and would no longer be in pain. The first 2 days of trying Bellamy’s again, he absolutely loved his formula, drank with no complaints and straight away was sleeping better and would last 4-5 sometimes even 6 hours between bottles. I was so happy! But… on days 3 and 4 he was so constipated, became windy again and started screaming and going red in the face every time he pooped. He was in so much pain just like when he was first born and on this formula. I changed his formula to novalac colic and he has started going 3 (sometimes4) hours in between bottles. Not as long as Bellamys, but at least it’s better than 2 hours between each bottle. I really wanted this formula to work. I loved the look and the reviews and felt confident when buying this formula. But it just didn’t work for my little one. Every baby is different.

Our Baby loves it! Formula's are not the nirvana to solve digestion, reflux and colic issues – * Our baby enjoys drinking Bellamy's * Stools are wet and hold a solid shape (which is what you suppose to have) * If your baby's digestive system is immature (ie struggling to process cow milk protein) you may need to start on a different formula * I compare Munchkin, Nan-Comfort, A2, Aptimal Gold, Bellamy's and Aptimal Profutura and Bellamy's… Read more ·  1

came out top trumps for its nutritional value and a very high level of Probiotics. * Bellamy's is easy to get supply of, home delivery is very prompt. Woolworths, Coles and Chemist Warehouse in our area always seem to have it. * We have a baby has Reflux, We started on Aptimal Gold (which made our baby vomit, but had not released she had reflux), Tried Bellamy's, went to A2 and back to Bellamy's when we starting giving our baby Losec for Reflux * For those doing a bake off we went to A2 as our baby could not initially process Bellamy's (she was two weeks premature). A2 is also really good, although it does have a slighty fishy smell (that I did not mind, but read others are really troubled by it), we rinsed our bottles immediately after use to limit the smell. * A2 and Bellamy's are easy to make/mix, although I did notice I had to shake my bottle for longer with A2 to get it mixed properly. * Our baby was born at 39 weeks, and we felt she struggled to process Bellamy's initially. * We went to A2 which shifted stool from being wet and solid to soft through to lacking shape and loose. * Once we start Losec (which give the babies the side effect of Diarrhea) we went back to Bellamy's which was a better combination for our little one. * Our Paediatrician recommended Nan Comfort, but it has a lot less Omega 3/6, less nutrients and no probiotics which drove us to go back to Bellamy's * We learnt that Formula's are not the solution to solving your baby's Colic, Reflux or other issues. Seek Paediatrician advice if you suspect your baby has reflux as EVERY BABY IS DIFFERENT. What worked for my partner's sisters, DID NOT work for us * For gas our Paediatrician suggested Infant's Friend or Infocol * We have learnt your bottle and teat systems can make a massive difference. Move to the age appropriate teat system as soon as possible, using younger age group teats can bring on more gas issues. * If your baby can not process Bellamy's start on something like Aptamil® AllerPro SYNEO™ 1, Nan Comfort and some of the top OB's out of Melbourne suggest Aptimal's Lactose free formula * Key learning do not be afraid to try formula's, most formula are made of cow's milk. They are all subtly different and keep going until you find something that works. * You will need to go through at least 4 cans of a formula to get a sense if it works for your little one * When you do try make sure Bellamy's is at the top of your list

We've tried a lot of them, and this one is the favourite - too bad it's not easy to get – I mix-fed from day one, then continued with exclusive formula feeding after 7 months of my baby's life. We had to try various brands because she stopped liking each one's taste after a while. In the end, we settled on this one alternating with A2. I like them both but this is my favourite because it dissolves very well in cold milk too. My baby… Read more ·  2

will only have cold milk, so it's really helpful to not have to mess around with clumps of formula stuck in the bottle. I also find the 60ml scoop handy because I can prepare it in a 260ml Avent bottle - it fits well with the powder + 240ml of milk. With the A2 I can only fill it to 200, otherwise, if I do 250ml, the powder doesn't fit on top in the bottle. She's had no reactions whatsoever.

The reason I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it's hard to come by. National Pharmacies where I normally buy it from, has been out of stock for weeks. I know I can order from the website but because I'm a National Pharmacies member, it's a lot cheaper to buy from them.

The best formula on the market – I am a mum of 4 and all my babies have been formula fed so to say I have tried every formula is not even an exaggeration.
