So far so good!
I've been using the product for around 3 months now. I suffer from VERY oily skin, blackheads and mild breakouts which happen in unpredictable patterns. I started by using the 2.5% gel and followed the directions on the instructions. I used every 2 days for the first week to allow my skin to adjust. I experienced some dryness on the sides of my nose but that eased after the first week.
In the last week it's getting more humid so I have started using the 5% gel in the morning and 2.5% in the evening. I am a little dry at the moment so I may nee...
Swollen limpy skin it is not worth it
I used the benzac 3 steps at 5% for no longer than three days.. And my skin now has small lumpy blisters all over I wish I could upload pictures.. It hurts so bad and I don't know how to get rid of them.. It is embarrassing this should not be sold off the shelf it should be behind the counter I wish I had of spent the money on proactive as that was what I originally want but it was sold out...
Amazing stuff it’s been a real lifesaver
I’ve been using the 2.5% kit for about 2 months and I’m almost bump free I was suffering hormonal and cyctic acne nothing else helped at all, I’m so happy I found these products, couldn’t be happier with my results, I just need to get rid of the marks left behind
Don’t use it.
I’ve had acne all my life and only recently found out about benzac and thought it would help with my acne,so I used the 3 step benzac kit consisting of the Benzac Daily Facial Foam Cleanser,2.5 gel treatment and the moisturizer, with the first day of using my face became itchy and small bumps continued to increase with everyday of using it.my skin started to peel and my acne is at its WORSE ITS EVER BEEN.i don’t recommend anyone who has acne and hyperpigmentation to use this product
Brand New Person
I think the 2.5 percent gel is great! I use it all the time on spots and I swear whenever I breakout within a day or two after using the topical ointment its gone HALLELUJAH lol! You dont need much, it will only redded skin where there isnt pimples so the clear soft parts, so just use on the pimples. It literally decreases the size of the pimples and intensity then they are gone, I love this gel. I have used heaps of things for my skin and this is the best, stuck with it for 2 and a half years and I look like a brand new person. I don't use...their washes because I reckon it would be too drying to use the wash and a gel. Use a gentle cleanser like Qv or Cetaphil or any other cream cleansers (All natural is best), I now use Sukin all natural Cream cleanser, And then I put on Benzac 2.5 percent and it does kill the pimples. I find the soft cleanser and the pimple killing gel works great haha, gives the skin a good balance.
Make sure you follow the directions for this product!
This product is great for treating a pimple now and then. Be careful though not to apply it on larger skin surfaces as it left me with noticeable skin pigmentation issues and never apply before going into the sun (I have white patches on my face). It must contain some sort of lightening or bleaching agent as my clothes, towels, pillow slips etc were discoloured from using this. I now only apply it to one pimple at a time when I get one in the morning and apply my normal moisturiser on top.
Using the 3 step treatment and amazing results
I have had acne pretty much my entire life (now 28). After having a baby recently my usual acne treatment was a no go so I got to the point of being fed up with my acne getting worse and worse as the weeks progressed. I used the 3 step treatment - cleanser, treatment and moisturiser. Within 2 days I have seen the most dramatic improvement ever. My acne has almost completely cleared with only some small ones remaining which are decreasing rapidly. Honestly incredibly happy with the results and worth every cent for me. This is something I will continue with. I am using the 2.5% strength.
Scalp Acne Cured
I am in my sixties and a few years ago started getting large red acne with white heads on the back and sides of my scalp. Tried many things without success till Benzac AC Wash 5%. I realise it is a face/body wash and they warn that it may bleach the hair somewhat but I have old man silver/white hair so no issue there. Absolutely no new acne since the first use.
I used it every day at first but have reduced it to twice a week at this stage with continued success. I wash my hair (no conditioner), rub in a smallish amount of Benzac and rinse after a minute or two.
Purchased in February 2019.
Changed my skin!
I started using this product about 1 month ago and it has completely changed my skin! After suffering from moderate acne for almost a decade, this has been the most effective product for me. Highly recommend!
As a 20 yr old male who’s had moderate acne for 5+ years this product worked wonders. I’ve used all sorts of face washes and scrubs from the supermarkets to no avail. I then came across the benzac triple acne control kit online and decided to try it. It didn’t really work that well at first but I heard it takes a few months to see results. I started in September/October and now in January I can see clear results. Most of my acne has gone or at least become less noticeable.

Do not work for Adult Acne, Acne worsen
I was using tea tree oil for my face wash and rosehip oil to moisture my face. It was working very slowly but great. In hope to heal it quickly, i bought benzac ac cream. When first time i applied, i had a new acne popped up. I thought it is just a new one and stopped the use of cream for couple of days. As soon as i did not apply for two days, and continued with my normal products, it healed. This happened 3 times (including my partner trying once too and the same happened) and now i can confirm that this cream instead of healing the acne, is worsening the symptoms. My face looks worse than before. Wish i shouldn't have bought this product.
Literally burns away the acne - strong but effective
I have dermatitis so I get very aggravated skin easily. After stopping the pill I've had insane acne and oil on my face. The benzac wash has been amazing for me: I put it around my chin, cheeks and forehead and let it sit for 5 minutes before washing off (using paper towels - I've already bleached two facewashers!).
BUT the first few days I used this I completely burned the skin around my eyes, and woke up with swollen, red and cracking skin. So NEVER put it on the delicate skin beneath your eyes if you have any sensitivities on your skin. I ...
Changed my skin so much !!
First of all I’ve tried so many products and I was about to go on minocycline but I’ve heard a lot of bad side effects of that antibiotics and then I went to the chemist and I bought benzac ac and it gave my results in 1 week :) I highly highly recommend it for people who are going through acne :) it will get Better
Really wish i hadn't.
One of the first products i tried for adult acne, i really wish i hadn't. I could only use for a week or so before having enough of the burning, redness and pain that the products caused. I tried weaker strengths of the spot treatment and that still burnt.. After washing face it would feel so tight, stripped of oils and uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend to anyone, it's really not a great range.
Firstly i never really write reviews for anything but I had to for this one! I understand everyone has different skin and problems ect and this may or may not work for everyone but I'm sooooo happy with my results! And it worked!!! I don't get many breakouts but when I do they get pretty bad. Red, inflamed I even started getting these horrible ones never had them before! on my jawline which were horrible! It started with 1 bump which turned into like 4 or 5 in the same area I got sick of it!!! I tried Proactiv, tea tree washes the Tea Tree oil...it worked but not so great it took sooo long and it would leave a dry red patch. Then I tried BENZAC foam, wash and the gel and it blew my mind! I started seeing results instantly by redness is gone, my bumps have flattened BYE BYE breakouts!. I hardly get a breakout now and when I do it's small! And goes away instantly. The best thing that worked for me is BRAGG Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar and Benzac. Wash your face really well, then apply some raw apple cider on the pimple holding the cotton bud on the pimple for about 5 to 10 minutes then wash off the vinegar, and then pat the face dry then dampin it with warm water cleanse it with the benzac foam then go ahead with the benzac wash 5% rub that on for 30 seconds then after the wash I pat dry my face apply a deep moisturizer let that soak in my skin and then before bed I put on the benzac gel 5% over the pimple and leave it on over night (make sure to put extra on so you can actually see the white gel covering the pimple. Wash of next morning. I'M IN LOVE with benzac it goes rid of my problem pimples the bumps on my jawline vanished! No redness. If you're new to the product I would recommend starting with the 2.5% then moving onto the 5% it causes a little dryness in the start but make sure to use a deep moisturizer after every wash and it works amazingly! I highly recommend for this product to be tried if you're having problems. I'm so greatful for it.
Almost instant result
I have been using benzac acne wash 5% for a few days. My skin has already started to clear up.
My skin feels tighter as it’s dried I think.
I noticed my grey face washer has orange patches in it, first I thought it was foundation and it won’t wash out.
I use it again and this time my face towel is 85% orange.
I rinsed my face with water after and pay dry with another towel.
Boom! Light orange on my other towel.
Works for pimples for me so far but please be careful with your towel especially if they are good one. They just gonna end up in the bin
Mixed Feelings TBH
MY ACNE STORY - worth a read
I started with Benzac 2.5% gel and foaming wash in 2016-2017 for around 2 years. Honestly, it was just an on and off thing for the results. It would work for a week, then when my period would be due, they would all appear out of nowhere. The side effects are harsh, IT'S DRYING SO YOU NEED A GOOD MOISTURISER! I guess your hormones and your genetics play a large role in this, and age (I was 14-15). Then this year, I bumped up to a Benzac 5% gel, used the Benzac 5% wash for a while - and the results were slow yet st...eady. I was honestly so sick and tired of it, so I switched to tea tree oil and did Benzac gel. It was ugh yeah okay. I told you, BENZAC IS SO SLOW. I decided to see a doctor, prescribe me on doxycycline 50g-100g for 3 months (I just finished this), and started epiduo. I can safely say that my skin is much better now, even though I went through a cycle of switching products. I don't know for sure, what was the best product. My skin is having its ups and down, around 80% clear on good days but can get bad real quick at the time of the month, and I'm 16 now so I'm hoping it's slowing and calming the hell down. Benzac is a slow product, like it took so long. And it does these weird patchy dry red things on your face, tightens and shines it so uncomfortably much (the wash, it's the bloody wash), and it bleaches your skin, leaving these white powdery left over on the surface of your skin. BUT IT DOES WORK. BEAUTY COMES WITH PAIN. SLOWLY. PATIENCE. But if you want to speed it up a tad, try seeing a doctor and they can check your skin and prescribe you the drugs, cause that just speeds the healing process. Doxycycline helped a lot and epiduo (im on it currently), and it does wonders (results more visible than benzac). Try it for a while, works for me but maybe not for you. I hope I helped, hope your skin clears out! Just a 16 year old looking out for all the emotionally and physically scarred victims of acne :') I feel youu..
Used 3 times and WOW
I had a Few pimples pop up in my forehead and it was fine, next few days it became really painful acne and my skincare routine just wasn’t cutting it, as it got worse I looked around for about two weeks to find the perfect products and I gave up! (Why’s everything so damn expensive! :( I was in the chemist and saw benzac and just thought why not it’s been 3 washes and I still have 2 or so pimples on my chin and my forehead just has one little pack in my hairline, 3 WASHES! I have never made a better decision in my life, my Cystic acne has clea...red up in a day and a half, I use the acne prone face wash, 2.5 acne gel and moisturiser and I couldn’t express how much it’s helped me feel more confident! I was loosing hope and you HAVE to try this. That was long but I highly highly recommend trying this before you go out and spend a fortune

Questions & Answers
I've started using Benzac AC 5% recently. I put a very small amount on and then tea-tree moisturiser afterwards, and it burns like hell all night. My skin is really dry and it's peeling around my eyes. I put it on yesterday night and my face is still sore all day. What do I do?
Hi,I'm also using the benzac Ac 5 wash product it make's my skin dry and it also peel's off so am not sure if I should continue using the product?
I don't have an active skincare routine. I kind of just wash my face then put on this gel. My acne has been getting worse as of late and just picked this product up in hopes of it getting better. How long do I have to wait minimum to have my acne clear up? I've only been using this product for ~2 days and there have been 0 results as of lately. Is there anything I have to change up, do I continue?
