He cost me over $100,000 in building reports, legal fees, interest and rent, and finally reduced me to living on a floor in my cousin's spare room. He then put Inpsired into administration and left me with a defect riddled half-built property.

proposed an "investor spec" house and land package that was well within my budget. When that builder started to have problems, Mike found a new builder to take over the contract, for the same price, before I even knew there was an issue. Mike also referred me to an excellent mortgage broker so that was something else I didn't need to worry about. The whole process has been super easy from start to finish. If I had concerns Mike responded to messages within minutes and always had the answers, as he knows the Perth building landscape intimately. My build is now complete and the home is lovely. Our house construction started when the building industry had supply and labour shortage, humongous price increases, overblown construction time period etc.. Luckily, we never had to face any of these (except minor delays with roof timber, which still was much better than rest of the builders). To give some perspective, among all the blocks that were titled on the same day, we are the second to reach slab down, first to reach plate height, first to reach roof cover and first to reach lock up stage. We are happy with the quality of the build with third party inspections revealing no major surprises.

We are happy with the overall process, the location, finance and the build with no major hiccups in between. If I'm to build again, definitely I will consult with Mike.
