Colour selections appointment - Jané was amazing!
The process of doing your colour selections can be very daunting. Knowing we aren't great making decisions, and we like to research to the hilt, we had 3 open studios before heading to our all-day selection's appointment. Thanks to sickness, we had to postpone our selections day by 3 weeks.
We were pretty anxious going into it knowing we had lost of bit of momentum, but as soon as we sat in front of Jané, our minds were put at ease. She provided us with all the information, she gave us constructive advice, and most importantly she very quickly

Colour Selection Review
We would like to provide a review for Brighton Homes on our colour selection day. We had Mariah as our colour consultant. Mariah was so patient and incredibly kind with us and offered support and suggestions throughout the day which provided us with a relaxed environment. We highly recommend Mariah.

Absolutely love our new home!!!
We started our journey with Brighton at the end of 2021. We fell in love with their beautiful finishes and amazing open plan concepts. Our experience in studio was awesome and the team worked with us to choose beautiful selections that also worked within our budget. Pre-construction done!!
We just finished our pre-construction items with Brighton. Signed the CT on 13 August 2023, and as of 13 November 2023, we have now completed all our pre-construction requirements and have finally reached the Scheduling phase. Unfortunately, due to the holiday periods, we will miss out on starting this year, but we are assured they will be on-site to commence building early next year.

... Read moretify suitable lots for our build -- diligently giving his feedback on every lot we found on realestate.com.au and Domain. It was in part, thanks to him that we managed to acquire the amazing patch of dirt we ended up with. He taught us a lot about what to look out for in a land for building. The Open Studios were great, we had the wonderful company of Linda Sheather who assisted us over two separate appointments and helped us land on a colour scheme for our tiles and exteriors well before our official Colour Selection Day. Without these appointments, we would have definitely gone over the whole-day allocation we had for our Colour Selections. For our Colour Selection Day, we were accompanied by the amazing Mariah Chapman who patiently worked with two people who couldn’t make up their minds on most things. She has excellent design intuitions, and is very fast on the uptake, immediately understanding what look we are going for, as we stilted and stumbled along with our limited design vocabulary. She was extremely thorough despite an extremely long and exhausting day. We think there was only one thing that we missed on the day, and unfortunately, it did cause a slight delay when it was eventually picked up, but we can’t blame her for this. Mariah was very good with us! For our Electrical Selections Day, we had Jessica Ainsworth who skilfully assisted us with designing our electrical layout. As complete novices on this front, Jessica’s expertise in all matters of lighting theory, strobing effects, conduits and power phases was invaluable. She helped us pick out the most cost-effective combination of lights, their placements and the practicalities of light switch organisation in less than half a day! The open studios preceding our colors and electrical appointment were great for us to really understand what we needed for our first home. Our interior design consultant was knowledgeable and approachable . They guided us in making the right choices for our home.

We have just finished and completed handover of our new home (Promise Design) with Brighton Homes. We have been very happy with the process and the quality of our new home. The second standout was Alana McKinnon, our project coordinator. Her proactive management ensured that she remained on top of every facet, maintaining constant communication and accommodating the alterations and modifications we introduced. However, the individual who left the most indelible mark on our experience was our Site Manager, Jacob Palmieri. He proved to be an exemplary figure, characterized by unwavering integrity, dedication, and a profound passion for his profession, not to mention his outstanding construction skills. We posed numerous queries and encountered uncertainties, yet Jacob was tenacious in addressing every concern comprehensively. Our proximity to the construction site allowed us to witness his unwavering commitment, whether under the sweltering sun or during inclement weather. Considering the unprecedented challenges faced by the construction industry in recent years, marked by supply shortages and contractor constraints, Jacob consistently instilled a sense of assurance and was unfailingly remarkable. The culmination of our collaboration occurred at the end of construction, post the Pre-Completion Inspection (PCI), when we received the keys. Despite a few remaining minor tasks, Jacob assured us that everything would be rectified within the stipulated two-week timeframe, a promise he duly fulfilled. We’re thrilled to be building with Brighton Homes again and can’t believe how easy it has been to get through the pre-construction phase with the amazing support of Paula Jonson. Paula has yet again done us proud with prompt communication and attention to detail. Her knowledge of building process and all the legislative hurdles, presented to us in layman’s terms was invaluable and certainly made this pre build part quite effortless. Questions & Answers
The HIA contract that Brighton uses states that 'the late completion damages amount should be a genuine pre-estimate of the costs the parties anticipate an owner will incur in the event the builder does not reach practical completion by the end of the building period. Such costs may include additional interest paid on borrowed funds and additional rent paid for alternative accommodation.' Do you allow your clients to actually do this or do you fix the late completion damages at $50/day despite the client being able to demonstrate that they would incur much higher costs if the build was delivered late as would most people?
Are your homes suitable for relocating? Meaning can they be purchased to lock up stage , but not stumped?

Home designs
You can browse home designs online, including 3-bedroom, 4-bedroom, and 5-bedroom homes, in the option of single storey and double storey homes. There are also acreage home designs near the coast or countryside, and narrow block home designs.
Home & Land Packages
Home and land packages are available in North Brisbane, South Brisbane, West Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast. Display homes are ready for browsing in all of these areas, except South Brisbane.
Home & Land Packages include ‘Ready by Brighton,’ which includes a newly-built home along with a block of land, terrace townhouses, and display homes for sale.
Interior design
Brighton Homes is also partnered with MyChoice Design Studio, which matches homeowners-to-be with qualified interior designers. There’s a Digital Walkthrough and a physical open studio, which allows householders to browse the range of products, materials and electricals for their new home in person.
Finance
MyChoice Home Loans is a finance service that partners with Brighton Homes. It helps new householders find the right loan for them.
Points of praise
The staff at Brighton Homes, including project coordinators, are skilled at making the home building process a smooth one. Designing a home from scratch can be an overwhelming process, but staff were patient and helpful every step of the way. This included during colour selections at the Design Studio, through to the post-construction aftercare phase.
Issues were rarely experienced, but when they were they were handled with care and rectified quickly by Brighton Homes staff members.
