Truly Wonderful Dog Food
I have been making our own raw dog food for the past 6 years, and have just recently switched to Big Dog Food. Im so glad that I did. Not only is it much more convenient, but the unexpected positive results Im getting with my dogs has been a huge plus. We have a Catahoula x Bull Arab and a Lhasa x Shiz. My big girl shed a lot of hair. I could vac every day and it still would be everywhere. Now - hardly a thing. Shes got less itches, coat is shiny and hardly anything falls out. Both the dogs condition is perfect. Both dogs love their dinners. Thanks again for a great product. We tell everybody about it and now have a few converts!

I wanted to feed my caviliar pup raw food but didn't know where to start. I discovered big dog for small dogs and he loves it, I also give big dog big bites and some meaty bones. This product is affordable, healthy and safe and easy to prepare.
Purchased for $14.99.
It saved & healed my dog from colitis!
My dog been suffering from colitis and I did everything to help her. I read online the raw diet is best to heal colitis. I tried big dog and I chose it but over "proudi" raw food because big dog has vegetable with the meat for fibre. From the very first day, my dog's poop was little, firm and healthy.
And big dog meat is human grade which is a great bonus.

High quality, healthy and tasty!
I have two dogs; my 8-year-old Labrador gobbles down the combo or kanga Big dog food.
My 16-year-old Jack Russell (normally really fussy eater) gets the sensitive skin Big dog food.
They both used to suffer from hair loss, rough fur and tear stains. Now their fur is incredibly soft, significant reduction of hair shedding, and tear stains seem to have reduced as well! I would like to add that I'm very happy with the convenience aspect (that they're in little weighted packs) and cheaper than what I was feeding previously!
*Only thing that was a...little difficult at the start was weaning them off their previous food. I must have transitioned too fast they'd either get diarrhea and/or their stool would be too hard. After about 2 weeks of feeding Big Dog their digestion settled and returned back to normal.*
Purchased in July 2019 for $20.00.
I have a very fussy beagle. He doesn't like kibble, rice, kangaroo, veggies... I purchased this after he suddenly decided he didn't like his other raw food anymore. We alternate between turkey and sensitive skin (fish) and he eats it so quickly, and goes back to his bowl multiple times to make sure he hasn't missed anything.
I'm also very happy looking at the ingredient list and its much cheaper than the other raw food we were purchasing. I'm very fussy with what we feed him (Ziwipeak for brekky, all his treats are natural and unprocessed), but am happy for him to eat this.
My Toy Poodle started on the Small Breed Combo and I haven’t looked back.
I had her on raw meat and she refused to eat dry food so the transition was easy. I found it hard and a lot of fussing to get all the vitamins she needed with plain raw meat but this barf combo has it all. Best of all, it’s so simple and she woofs it down. She is now 10 months old and has been on BD Barf for 2 months now.

Highly Recommend the Kanga for Cats
I have always fed my cats raw since they were kittens, mostly chopped up whole chicken and diced lamb with various organs and measured vitamins thrown in. I tried out Big Dog for Cats as I wanted to provide more variety to the kitties. In the past few months they tried all three of the turkey, rabbit and kanga recipes, and they loved the kanga.
However, they tended to vomit occasionally when fed the rabbit and turkey patties. I suspect this is because when rabbit or turkey meat is mixed with beef and organs of larger animals, it can confuse a...nd disrupt the digestion system as compared to kanga meat which is more similar to beef (as discovered by research into raw feeding for cats). Of course this does not occur to all kitties - my friend’s cat would only eat the rabbit patties and won’t accept the others. So I guess it really is down to what your cat prefers and is suited to. My routine now is to feed my kitties whole chicken chunks with organs in the morning so they can chew the bones, and kanga patties from Big Dog for dinner. I also place the thawed patties in warm water 10 minutes before I open the package so that they are closer to body temperature when fed to the kitties. Attached are photos of Fortune and Giselle.
Dog loved it but..
My German Shepard pup absolutely loves it however it gives him the worst diarrhoea which is a shame because it’s so affordable and such good quality, might go back to it when he’s older

Big Dog Food for my furkids.
Best food I have ever fed my two dogs.
Rahni, my rescued Stafford (now sadly deceased) loved hers, as does my new rescued Stafford 'Nala'.
I will not buy any other brand of food for my furry kids.
Best thing for dog health EVER
After losing 3 of my beautiful Golden Retrievers to cancer over the years, I started doing research into canine nutrition, which came as an offshoot of adopting a Paleo style diet for myself. I became absolutely convinced most dry kibble is garbage and contributes to the alarming rate of cancer.
When we got Riley, we decided he would only eat raw, and we cane across Big Dog. He has been on it since 8 weeks old - fish based, and he loves it. His coat is lustrous and shiny, he has heaps of energy, and he’s a happy dog. He gets Big Dog fish treat...s and I love the freeze dried salmon bites for him. Will absolutely be feeding him this for the rest of his life. I often brag about it on online Golden Retriever forums, and Americans are jealous we have such an awesome food.
Get it at Pet Barn
Yes my dog liked the food, BUT......some of the flavours gave him the runs, so I did not persue this raw food brand again because I was so OVER all his loss stools which was occurring about 2 to 3 days weekly and the vet couldn't find anything wrong so I put it down to the food, plus I didn't like the smell of the food itself.

This stuff is awesome!
The food has been awesome for my dog. She had some skin issues as a puppy and we switched diets from Hills kibble to Big Dog. It all cleared up in just over a week so we stuck to the food. She’s now 5 and is super happy and healthy! Never looked back! She has no issues with anything since then and her teeth have been great, we feed dried for her to chew on mainly as well.
I recommend this food to everyone! We had a vet tell us to try it and we can’t thank him enough!
My dogs inhale this food!
I used to make my dogs food which became impractical as they grew bigger. I went on the hunt for a commercial brand that most closely resembled the food I made for them myself (human grade ingredients, variety in proteins, variety in fruits & veg and no preservatives or cheap fillers). I was recommended to Big Dog by a friend and tried not be too offended by how much they loved it compared to my food. I needed to start using a slow feeding bowl so their meals lasted longer than 2 seconds! I follow Big Dog closely on social media and I like how ...much information they share about their food. My biggest concern when looking for a commercial food was trusting that my dogs nutrition wouldn't go backwards if I wasn't making their food myself. I've been using this food for over 18 months now and I'm so happy with this brand. I love that they have so many options for me to cycle through so my dogs never get bored and I'm confident that they are getting a varied, healthy, natural diet. Their coats are shiny, their weight is perfect and the vet always says "whatever you're doing, don't change it" when they have their annual check ups. Thanks Big Dog.
Big Dog Raw food for cats - the cat range is amazing!!
I feed my cat Big Dog Raw patties for Cats. His favourite flavours are Kanga and Turkey. I'm definitely crazy cat lady. I've grown up with cats. My parents and friends feed wet food and dried food. They're old, they're grouchy, their litter trays are SO stinky (it's awful!) and their coats are rough. Whereas my little boy is always full of energy, his poops never smell, his coat is so soft and he absolutely loves it!! I transitioned him onto it from wet food and dried food with no issues. Every now and then dad will sneak him some dried food an...d for the next few days his poops smell awful and he is very loud and naughty. As soon as it appears to be have cleared his system and his diet is back to just raw, he is back to his normal, not stinky, happy healthy self. I love Big Dog for cat and wish that everyone would take a chance to see the amazing before and after that I have for my pets overall wellbeing. I'm certainly impressed by the product and it's health benefits for my little furball.
Wouldn't go anywhere else!
We love these products! Our two bubs are both on the kangaroo patties but we do alternate flavours. We wanted to go raw but did not have the confidence to feed ourselves as I didn't want to miss out on any vitamins or ingredients they were not getting. With Big Dog, their coats are ultra soft and shiny and we regularly get complimented on it. Our pug has lost weight following their instructions which is fantastic! They also have a probiotic powder that you can sprinkle over the food. Our boy has a sensitive stomach and we use this and he has st...opped vomiting. In fact, during a massive heat wave our labrador actually got a bit sick in the stomach and after adding the powder to her food stopped being sick. Now we use this for both our dogs and they love it!

Best decision we’ve ever made in regards to my furbaby’s health
My dog has gone from such a fussy eater to absolutely thriving on big dog pet foods and never leaving a speck of food left in her bowl. As such a high energy dog I struggled to find a food she’d actually eat to compliment her very active lifestyle and maintain her weight.
With big dog pet foods not only is she able to maintain a healthy weight she is absolutely thriving on it. We get comments all the time about how gorgeous and healthy she is and I put it down ultimately to her food. Dinner time is now her favourite time of day whereas it used to be a struggle to get her to eat. I can have peace of mind knowing I’m providing her the best possible life she could have.

Questions & Answers
We have changed our border collie pup to the raw portions. The puppy servings seem quite small? How do we know if its enough or should we be mixing with dry food? Also how do we transition properly to avoid issues with stool, just half half with the current food? Does anyone ever completely change their food successfully with no stool issues?

Thanks for getting in touch with us. For puppies we recommend feeding them 4% of their body weight in our food to accommodate their growing bodies. This amount is enough for a growing puppy, though it looks smaller than other serving sizes, we don't add synthetic fillers to bulk out our food. Our ingredients are highly nutritious and full of the essential proteins and fats (to keep your pup fuller for longer) as well as natural vitamins and minerals.
A slow transition is always recommended, usually over a period of two weeks. Starting with what they usually eat, slightly decrease that portion and add our Big Dog patties in, increasing our portion sizes daily. We have a general guide which is as follows:
Day 1-3: 20% New 80% Old
Day 4-6: 40% New 60% Old
Day 7-9: 60% New 40% Old
Day 10-12: 80% New 20% Old
Day 12+: 100% New Diet
Most pets will have no issues when it comes to transitioning however if there is an issue, such as a change in stools, be sure to slow the transition period down further and it should resolve itself.
Hope this helps! Feel free to get in touch with a member of our team at firstname.lastname@example.org if you had any further questions.

Hi, I did half kibble half big dog from 10.5weeks to 20 weeks, each week reducing the kibble and adding more raw bones, big dog big bites and other fresh raw meats, fruit and veg. I have a Caviliar and at 5 months cut out kibble totally. If anything my pups stools got better, smaller, firm an less frequent the less kibble I gave and I think I could have made the transition much sooner. I am just a pet owner not a breeder or anyone with training. Good luck I have found Big Dog to be excellent and my puppy loves it, I used a online raw feeding calculator to work out how much to feed each day.
