since we got it. But this past weekend was the first time I tried to cook a large amount of food over charcoal. The big green egg can cook things delicately enough that you can put soft flesh seafood (for one or two minutes) or cook a shoulder of pork for five hours. Any problems that we have had with it were addressed immediately and we were sent replacement parts quickly. The build quality of these units is far superior to any other brand on the market. These are not made in China like the competition. These are made in a high tech factory which you can view on YouTube.
