Love my Weber – Absolutely love our new Weber. Have already used it for slow cooking short ribs and high heat for charcoal chicken. Was a little tricky to put together but now it feels sturdy and is easy to clean Show details ·  1

Webber kettle the best charcoal BBQ if them all – I bought my first Webber red KETTLE around 44 to 45 years ago from an exhibition at the Yenora woolsheds in Sydney Australia, it was one of the first in Australia at the time in the mid 1970s. I use it often with a mixture of heat beads and charcoal, I always cook my whole leg ham on it and my Turkey every Christmas for the most perfect and juicy… Read more ·  1

meat ever, and I've got 16 BBQ plus a Webber Q, and this kettle is the best by a mile. Now I'm looking at buying a new one, I don't really know why, but they seem to have a few improvements added over the years, then I will be able to cook my meat on one and my veges on the other at different temperatures. It's a win win for me. Well done Webber, keep up the great quality. Photos Christmas 2021. Brilliant.

A cooks delight – Alright, I am a fair cook. Nothing but I raised two kids alone for 6 years with almost zero help from their mother. So I had to get inventive and create from very little. The Weber Kettle. An absolute godsend. I am not a religious man, but someone was looking up for me that day. Half price Weber, on clearance in the supermarket? I'll bet.… Read more

What's wrong with it? Missing 3 nuts. Seems, someone lost the nuts when it was packed after a display. OK, I'll have it. $40 and I think 60 cents for the nuts and spring washers.

If you like roasted, smoked, yet moist juicy meat, you want a Weber Original. Ha is why is is called the Original. It was designed perfectly at the start. Everything else is a backseat passenger, sorry.

When a roast came on special, I would pounce. Grab a bag of fire as I call it and roast away. I even went and got the Weber Cookbook/Manual. One of the best reads, with some incredible recipes. Read it, it is your Bible!

The finish of the paintwork is incredible. Mine sits out on a small verandah. Not too much protection from the elements, yet a simple 'spray and pie' and the glass is immediately back. The racks and trays are heavy duty compared to the copies sold for $30 at Bunnings. Spend the extra.

The thickness of the metal is that thick for a reason. The cheap ones just don't come close. I know, I had a cheap one, before I lucked in with my current Weber.

So, let's recap. The steels and parts are all heavy gauge, the painted finishes are very hard wearing and UV stabilised it seems. No real fade from 3 years in the wind, snow and rain.

The plastic wheels, yes, they are plastic, but hey, they are wheels. They haven't cracked or warped.

The whole package just works exceptionally well, because it was designed to. Do yourself a favour. Get the Weber Original. It was perfect when they designed it, it is perfect to this day. Your roasting/bbqing of meat will never be the same.

This kettle is hot – We bought one of these as we were living in a unit with a balcony and wanted to have bbqs . its compact, takes up little room in the corner of the balcony and looks good. The woooden handle stays warm and doesnt get hot to handle. Its about waist height for me being 163 cm tall. Uses charcoal bricks,we have bbqed all our xmas meats, holds the… Read more ·  1

lamb, chook and pork on the rack and we can set it up leave it and just smell the meats roasting away whilst we are home. Easy to clean, outside wipes over with a damp cloth, inside charcoal etc drops out thru a release underneath the drum. We can wheel it to whereever we want. Can also take the wheels off and take to the park for get togethers.

Price is affordable, tools can hang on the side, rack underneath to put dishes etc.

Have had no,problems and tonnes of use and enjoyment. Cooks the meat evenly, and always happy with it. Roasts veges and saves time and heat in the kitchen cooking large amounts of food for get togethers

The Original and the Best – These Weber kettle BBQ were innovated in the USA some 40 years ago with a number of replicas hitting the market during their time, but frankly, the Weber outshines just about all their copies!! The secret with Webers excellent cooking capabilities is with their patented alongated air slots at the bottom of the kettle along with their also… Read more ·  1

patented ash removal latch. These air slots are much larger that their knock offs allowing more air to be drawn in to keep the heat beads burning at the right level without starving of oxygen and going out. This also reduces cooking times with an average 1kg beef can be readied within 2 hours!! The Weber also has a taller stronger lid that enables you to cook bigger roasts without striking the lid. Plus Webers unique shape ensures even heat flow within the kettle for best cooking results. There a gas versions of this Weber available if using heat beads are not your style. But for me, half the fun is the preparation of this great BBQ, knowing well that you're in for a treat!!

Great product – I bought a Weber Kettle at Christmas time and despite its basic concept they are extremely versatile in what they can do - low and slow, hot and fast, smokey, grill, roast - it does it all. Does anyone know if you can get a cover for these kettles? As I want to protect it from the elements. Show details ·  1

Great weber with the Olive Pip briquettes – I have been doing bbq's for years and love my Weber, this is my second weber and I recently discovered a bbq briquette made from olive pips, no fumes, no chemicals and the heat lasted well, I purchased these from my local butcher in Adelaide. Show details ·  2

Good portable and easy to use kettle bbq – Overall it's a good and easy to use kettle BBQ which does what it's meant to do. A few perks I really like and the vent controls on the lid and bottom of the BBQ to control air flow and heat, there's a hook so you can put the lid on the side of the BBQ while grilling. It's fairly decent sized so you can put quite a few things on it to cook. The only negative is its quite hard to clean and will require a good scrubbing after each use.  Show details

Extremely disappointed – After reading a lot of reviews regarding this bbq I can't help but feel extremely disappointed with this product. Several times now I have tried cooking with the kettle and all times it just wouldn't hold the heat. I have followed the instructions to the letter, spoken to store representatives and tried charcoal as well as briquettes. The smaller… Read more

food that was close to being cooked tasted no different to a normal gas burning bbq. Whats the point of mucking around with dirty briquettes etc. when it ends up being the same? Temperature regulation is haphazard at best, you spend all the time wondering to put more bricks on or leave it for longer - who knows?

I also find it takes up a lot of space - and still have to have available bench space to put grills, tongs etc onto. I found the whole process to be onerous.

Unfortunately for me it will become an overpriced pot plant holder while I use my original gas bbq to cook on.

Not bad, but cannot expect a lot from this – It is a good BBQ for having as a backup or if you just use it from time to time. Don't expect much, some grills and a platform to hold them, simple and not as easy to use as a gas one. If you need one, better expend a little bit more on a proper one.  Show details

Lasted 10 years and still going strong!!!! – Nothing beats a nice wagyu steak on a weber bbq, I've had mine for over 10 years and it must have done hundreds of bbq's during that time. It's literally unbreakable, I just keep it outside where it bears the brunt of rain, hail and sun without any problems. I've fed over 30 people at a time, I recommend using real wood coal rather than bbq briquettes because you can definitely taste the difference. Show details

After almost 50 years still the best – Still a fantastic product despite only minor changes, over the last few decades. Yes loved the old wood handles - but they did rot, so okay with the new ones. Good – I bought it for my husband in 2000 and still work now. Made beautiful BBQ. Easy to wheel it everywhere you want to be, easy to clean the cold ashes from the burnt charcoal. The only complaint I had when I clean the grill, make sure you clean after every use so the dirt not build up and make sure you have big kitchen sink to wash it.  Show details

Inherited this - love it! – I inherited (nicked) this from the old man. It's at least 15 years old I think because I remember it when I was a kid and they have not changed at all. Gave it a clean up and bought some charcoal - 20 minutes late BBQ heaven. Smokey and delicious like I remember. This is the way to go people, gas barbies are not REAL barbies!  Show details

Sure, yes, they take longer to get going and even a bit of skill and experience to use properly but they REALLY pay you back with flavor in the long term. Best BBQ ever – I got this BBQ as a gift from a friend, the BBQ is great, easy to work with. The two openings bottom and lid help to control the fire/heat. Beautiful char grilled meats – This is the ONLY way rto really barbeque in my opinion - meat grilling and also baking over real charcoal. There's nothing like it and no gas barbie comes close. This is only the small sized one but I have a townhouse these days so not so much space. It takes a little more effort to set up but the results are truly worth it!  Show details

Weber charcoal BBQ – We got this when we downsized and have limited yard space. Its exactly the same dimensions as a regular Weber BBQ but proportionally smaller. It does the same delicious charcoal meats Webers always do but obviously you can do less per cook. Its ideally suited to a couple and a guest or two but wouldn't suit a family with more than 1 kid. Delicious Charcoal Grilled Meats – I just love these traditional old style BBQs. My dad always cooked this way - we never had a gas barbie as a kid so it was a no brainer for me to get this type. Love the Classic Design – My dad gave me this and I didnt even bother using it for the first few months. What a revelation when I finally did! This thing grills the most delicious steak possible and there is no better way to do satays. There is just no beating actual glowing fire as compared to gas. OK it makes more mess and you need to clean it more but it's brilliant and you can really see how these original Webers set the whole trend for kettle BBQs  Show details

The best BBQ for low and slow – I have had this for a very long time, It sits out in the rain and weather and after 20 years it is still good. The heat bead baskets are a great idea as is the recesses in the bottom grill to hold the firelighters when starting. The aluminium tray to catch the ash has become rather dented over the years, but is still usable. The pain work is rust free and the aluminium legs are in good condition.  Show details
