BIG4 Barossa Tourist Park

Noisy caravan park! – Very nice until Friday night loud music from function area. Called police and the night watchman who basically took the party goers position “Ah it’s just once a year” and so we couldn’t sleep. Now 1:30 am and music still blaring loud and other campers standing outside in dressing gowns miserable. Very poor! Must be locals having a pee-up because… Read more
I reckon if it was outsiders booking the centre they’d be shutting us up pretty quickly. Otherwise a nice and well-run park. I didn’t expect to be treated like this. Very disappointed.
Had a great time – Previously we have stayed in a short term rental home because we had visitors from interstate and our caravan wasn't suitable accommodation for 3 - 4 friends. We booked an ensuite powered site on the website and had no problems at all. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The Park was clean and tidy with no tatty permanent vans. 2 caravans… Read more
followed us in and got sites even though they were not pre-booked. Close short drive into Nuriootpa and Tanunda. We went to the Tourist Info in Nuri and the assistant Shari(?) was fantastic. We followed her advice and went on the self-drive Historical tour. Also plenty to see and do in the towns and we ate so much delicious food! All in all a really good experience. Will be back!
When you ask for a cabin with parking for a large 4WD and trailer that’s what you expect not the complete opposite – I was quite explicit when booking a cabin that I have a big 4WD vehicle and towing a large tandem car trailer and required a site with easy access, I was assured this was available, when I rang back to complete payment a month later I once again asked and was assured parking was good, on arrival the cabin we were given had the narrowest drive of… Read more
all the cabins with the bin collection straight opposite with only a narrow road way, an almost impossible task I rang and said this is not good enough as I made it clear what I needed, the best they could do then was to offer a vacant site 200 metres away to park the car and trailer. If you are in any business you have to know the product you are selling not tell the customer I only have a map to look at and not actually check it is suitable. Go and have a look and familiarise yourself, a very annoying and unsatisfactory weekend in what is probably a nice part, no positive feedback for reception
All Big 4 Caravan Park are a scam – Had an issue with Big 4 membership ordering online and booking. Will never stay at another big 4 again. Much cheaper to stay elsewhere and not have membership issues. I don't recommend big 4 membership or parks
BEST CARAVAN PARK I'VE STAYED AT – Big4 Nuriootpa is a beautiful & quiet haven. With it's tree lined streets, this well maintained park has it all, from quiet grassed sites to suit the grey nomads, to the great pool area for kids to play. Plenty of cabin accommodation for those without their own van or tent. Located in South Australia's iconic Barossa Valley there no shortage of… Read more
things to do. Try some wine tasting, dinning at some of the local restaurants, explore some of the many art & craft or antique shops or just go for a scenic drive. Relax with a glass of wine and unwind. This is a great holiday spot for anyone.
