BioGaia Protectis has been discontinued and replaced by Nestlé NAN CARE Probiotic Drops.
Coincidence or not, I don’t dare stop using it !
We were having a lot of problems with our newborn but neither the paediatrician or I thought it was colic. I knew our baby had bad wind pains which was part of our issue but after trying other “tried and tested” options, I gave this a go and I don’t know if it was coincidence or not, but from that day onwards have not had any issues with trapped wind or extreme unsettled behaviour. Bio Gaia is the only thing that has been clinically proven to help whereas all of the other things I tried had no clinical testing conducted. Our paediatrician is...a gastrointestinal specialist so if he says it helps then you know you might have a chance and fixing the problem. It’s a shame that this is such an expensive product because there are so many parents out there really struggling and boardering on having breakdowns because of extremely unsettled babies. Paying well over $30 for a 5ml bottle is crazy but with a partner who is away for 80% of the year, it’s not worth my sanity to stop using it.
Baby Colic drops from heaven
We tried everything under the sun for baby's colic that begun at her 12th week. Finally one day we accidentally purchased BioGaia (almost returned it back) and gave it a go. Just 5 drops the first day and we have not had an instance from her ever since. We stopped when she was about 5.5 months old.
Going forward everytime there is a sale we just stock up to keep a surplus. Other reviews say it works for anything for the gut for kids up to 2 years old.
