Carpet cleaner keeps breaking down and three times back now for repairs paid for by ourselves and still not working. Customer service doesn’t exist and everything is offshored and they hide behind ignorance and arrogance. Never again Bissell! You had your chances to fix the problem and you don’t have the local representation to communicate appropriately. You’ve lost one very long term customer.

Crosswave seems cool, surely the technology is better these days, let’s give it a go! ; BIG MISTAKE. Initially the products worked excellently, along with the Bissell solutions which they sell to use in their products. However after 10 months of use, the products mop functionality ceased to continue working - which funnily enough was the exact same thing which happened in all previous models I owned, only it never happened within the warranty period. So of course, seeing as the product is still within warranty - I sent it back to Bissell to be repaired. The response I got was shocking, Bissell VOIDED MY WARRANTY on grounds I used cleaning solution other than their brand in the device - which was an absolutely wild and outrageous claim, seeing as the vacuum was sent back with their solution in it?! Obviously I tried to fight them and they said, we based this claim on the grounds that the solution inside the product does not smell like Bissell products?? At this point I’m in shock, because obviously it smells like Bissell products because it has Bissell products inside… but also, a sniff test can void a warranty?! What an absolute joke. I would absolutely never buy with them again, they have obviously made an outrageous claim to get out of repairing the device. The retailer I bought the product from is now arguing on my behalf to get Bissell to honour the warranty claim which they are still claiming they will not budge on. Honestly everyone, don’t waste your time, heaps of other reviews out there claiming they have gotten terrible customer service from Bissell too, they don’t sell quality products and they won’t help resolve your repair if needed.

 Follow-up  · Bissell ended up agreeing to repair the unit for a service fee of $59 - EVEN THOUGH PRODUCT IS STILL WITHIN WARRANTY. Thankfully I brought the product through a generous retailer, who decided to absorb the cost on my behalf. The product has now been at their repair centre for 2 months, I have not received it back, nor do I know if it’ll be in working condition.

 Follow-up  · Bissell ended up returning the product “fixed” however it was still faulty (this time the device thinks it has a pipe clog, which is not the case, even after checking and cleaning several times) and also missing a piece of the filter. After three… Read more

machine is out of warranty (2yrs only). The warranty on the booklet I received shows & states 3yrs. I have supplied proof, yet they still refuse to do anything. I am now taking this matter further, as they refuse to honor their warranties & are full of [Content Removed]! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY......AVOID BISSELL PRODUCTS! AVOID THE HEADACHES, VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, INCOMPETENANT COMPANY, THE WORST I HAVE EVER COME ACCROSS. Bissell products are cheaply made out of materials that last months not years. Movable parts like hoses and joints shrink and harden then crack, especially when you’re forced to wrap a hose around the unit for storage. 2 weeks of usage and it doesn’t reach the bracket any more. Bissell cleaning solutions are way overpriced and produce mediocre results. HydroSteam….new word for not Steam

were useless . Told me I needed to take the machine 1600 km away to get repaired when I told them that was impossible said see if I can find a local repairer. I did call a local repair guy who used to be their authorised repair guy only to be told they won’t sell him the parts to repair it , so I would be paying him to look at a machine he couldn’t fix. He also told me that they closed down the repairers in North QLD as they don’t sell enough up here, most of their market is Melbourne area. Waste of money … don’t buy a Bissell customer service is dismal.

Waste of money – Poor quality upright vacuum cleaner. Purchased one and it started smoking , returned it by post only to have it replaced. The new one does exactly the same , snaps the belt drive , been thru about 6 of them, then starts to smoke. Would be out of warranty now. You should see what 9 days looks like let alone 3 weeks. DON'T DO IT PEOPLE, PURCHASE A DIFFERENT BRAND. YOU GET NOTHING BUT A RUN AROUND. Wouldn't be surprised if it's an overseas call centre as there is a delay when speaking with someone. Customer service is terrible.

representative never contacted us to argue the case she claims we used a powder that isn't true . We used the Bissell solution they will not admit to the product being faulty our advice to customers world wide is steer clear of Bissell the crosswave is not living up to the price of the product. $800 Australian dollars for an absolute piece of rubbish Bissell should be refunding the money to over eighty year olds who expected quality.

Appalling Customer Service - Dont follow through on their money back promise – I purchased a spot cleaner and did not like it - nothing was clean after me using it. I contacted Bissell who seemed annoyed I knew about this money-back promise; once the claim was processed I was told I would have a refund in 14 days. Well, here we are over a month later, to be told each week I CALL THEM that it's still processing. Nothing has been done, and have since escalated it to the ACCC regarding my refund. Show details

what a waste of time trying to buy replacement filter – Trying to replace the steam mop water filter - Bissell - the part numbers do not match and when contacted by phone the person in the philippines could not help. Sent email to bissell customer care ????? who merely suggested I phone the number I had already contacted. The filter needs replacing but there are easier brands for replacement parts and choice does not recommend Bissell. I can now see why Show details

Customer service & warranty service bad – Purchased a Bissell BOLT, loved it, but it unfortunately failed during warranty. I contacted Bissell, and they said they would replace it. They replaced it, but with a lesser unit. It was not a BOLT, but a cheaper version without the same features, but they still insisted it was the same, END of story according to them. I will now never again buy a Bissell product on the basis of their actions. Show details

WARNING!!! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BISSELL – We purchased a "damaged carton" AirRAM cord-free vac from the Bissell outlet store website. $150. What does "damaged carton" mean? WE WERE RIPPED OFF BY BISSELL'S FALSE ADVERTISING.

BISSELL LIED ABOUT ITS PRODUCT, WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW.

BISSELL STOLE OUR MONEY.

Bissell's phone staff have confirmed the vac is not brand new. We are utterly disgusted with Bissell. We want them to arrange collection of the product and refund our money in full. At this stage, our several phone calls to Bissell have resulted in promises but nothing has been done. We've been told somebody will contact us and that the issue will be fixed ASAP but nobody has contacted us.

If Bissell returns our money in full, and takes back its used vacuum cleaner, I will change/add to this review, to reflect that.

In the meantime, customers be warned: IF YOU BUY FROM BISSELL, YOU ARE TAKING A RISK. BISSELL LIES ABOUT ITS PRODUCTS. BISSELL BREAKS THE LAW JUST TO GET YOUR MONEY.
