day to clean a spot on a carpet and then developed a burning smell. The process with customer service was an absolute nightmare. We had to send the product back to the warehouse which was not in the same state. They only offered to send the product through Australia Post which however do not take products this heavy or this size at most locations, I asked the team at Bissell to give me a different courier company however they refused The product was sent and apparently repaired by them. Once they told me the product was on its way back to me. They never advise what was wrong with it. I asked multiple times in emails if they could tell me what was wrong with the machine and they ignored the question every single time or gave me a very vague response. I have now gone to use the product after receiving it back and after 20 minutes of a light spot clean on a sofa the machine stop spraying. I followed all instructions on their website. Ended up calling customer service for where they told me to take the plate off and view the belt. The belt has now come off it track and is split causing black debris to be all through the machine. Considering this machine has not been used since been in their repair, it is very disappointing. Customer service was only willing to offer me as a goodwill gesture a replacement belt or at my own cost to have it repaired by them, including having to ship a heavy product back to their warehouse which would just be unfeasible. I said as this product has literally just been in their maintenance team. This issue should not have happened. They are unwilling to come to the party or help in anyway. Besides sending a replacement belt. Product is obviously faulty. They are not willing to divulge what was wrong with the machine obviously there is a known error that they are aware of and not willing to stand behind their product. I am very disappointed in this brand as I thought this brand was a good brand. Do yourself a favour and do not pick yourself up anything from this. It is not worth the hassle or your time. Buy a different brand entirely.
The Bissell worked extremely well, removed stains that had been there a while. I always do research when l buy a new product, again l guess you will always read negative reviews from negative people so l was a little concerned reading negative reviews here, so let’s hope it will last long enough to pay for itself several times over Show details
Was great while it worked, now that's out of warranty there is nobody who will look at it to fix a problem with it, so now it's unusable. Bissell only have a repair center in Melbourne that's only a couple of thousand kilometers away from me. For as long as it has lasted I would have been better off getting professional carpet cleaners in every 6 months instead of purchasing this. Show details

The machine comes with an assortment of small detergent bottles. Larger sizes are available online, or direct from the Bissell shop. A generous length cleaning hose is supplied with the machine that clips onto the static motorized head to do upholstery e.g. cars, chairs etc.The hose also incorporates an integrated detergent feed... Lately on my machine this detergent feed via the clip-on hose has failed, it worked perfectly before, I have yet to look at it closely to see if I can get it working again.
The motorized brush and cleaning head need disassembling at times for cleaning out, a fairly lengthy job that involves some awkward catches and clips, and ample application of mechanical logic! Those clips and catches don't always make sense and largely remain a mystery every time it comes to opening up that front to clean out the residual gunge!
Better than previous model & I reckoned it was GREAT. New pro-heat works on hard floors leaving a clean dry floor. I struggled trying to lift the roller cover inspecting the machine before use. Machine is noticeably quieter than the previous model in that the motor seems more powerful thus not working as hard, despite the 40% more power. Extra power means both better extraction from the carpet and better drying time. Hard floors are left dry & warm. This is my second Bissell Pro Heat 2 X Revolution Pet Series. 3 dogs in the house and 2 busy blokes with a forest on 2 boundaries means a heavy load. I had a cleaning business & wish I had the Bissell products of today. When my last machine failed (electric brownouts is my thoughts), I was given a spot Steam machine first followed by a steam mop with removable pads. New vacuum & other equipment to try and replace it. I had asked locally about new year and then finally it was in the window on Tuesday so I purchased it immediately. I have end stage heart failure and am becoming weaker than ever with walking a great difficulty. Mopping floors and vacuuming has become exhausting and can take days to mop the floors and another one to vacuum unless I sit on my backless desk chair with 5 wheels and let the Bissell do the work. Canisters are small enough even I can lift and carry them. Cleaning up is even easier than ever. CINNAMON antibacterial cleaning solution smells delicious and fresh.
Less than 4 months old and it’s stuffed. the machine has started tripping power if lent back to far. The after care is awful, said I need to go to the retailer I bought it from and Harvey Norman are just as useless, I have videos and photos of the issues and want to send it away for ‘testing’ before offering a replacement or refund.
Does a better job then the hire carpet cleaners – I'm very impressed with the machine. We were unsure as Reddit said it doesn't work etc etc But we had a housemate with a dog who puked up 4 lt of chocolate ice cream all over our carpet and left the room in disarray. great purchase for pet owners! – I have two Persians, one who has IBS and is constantly coughing up fur balls, and a toddler who gets food everywhere. the cleanest, lowest traffic carpet area in my house - the water was almost black! It's also been great for cleaning my toddler's padded play mat that they get lots of food on, (before and after attached).
The only stains it hasn't lifted has been bleaching, and pen ink.
It does use quite a lot of product, however it's worth it to keep my house smelling fresh. I use it at least once a month. The attachment upholstery cleaner is good for spot cleaning and sofas. I would recommend to anyone with carpets or rugs and pets.
You do need to change the dirty water quite often, but it's overall easy to use

enough, as I had vacuumed the rug several time to get dog hair and sand out. The colour of the water was disgusting. After going all over a few times it was still sucking up lots of dirt. So I changed to deep clean. Well that was amazing. After several passes it started to look really good. I then rinsed a few times , still dirty water sucking up. Well it has been 15 years since last done with a wet cleaner. I am 80 years old and managed to push and pull the machine easily. I took it apart for cleaning and was amazed on how much sand and dog hair I had to remove. So,yes I can recommend this machine. It’s going to take me a while to do the carpeted bedrooms, but that’s ok, no great rush. Bought from the Good Guys Mandurah W.A. PS it is a bit noisy.

sprayer that you can push for a particular stain. Good attachments for staircases. Not back breaking like the Spotclean. The pet cleaning formula you can buy works really well on cleaning pet mess and pet odours. Just like an upright vacuum, you just over your carpets and rugs and watch the dirt come out. Has additional attachments for sofas and cleaning the car too, which work really well. Good hose length also. Not heavy, solidly built.
Cons: The attachment for upholstery like sofas and in the car carpet, is good until you want to clean things that are upright like the sofa armrest and the car footwell carpet, I find when I do this, the water and formula drips down a lot which leaves drip marks. Not sure how Bissell would get around this as its gravity right?
It is an expensive product.
The cleaning formulas are expensive too.
The plastic cover at the front of the machine can be tricky to clean, especially when pet hairs get stuck in there.
It is quite noisy.
I wish it had a vacuum cleaner built in, this would save you have to get a separate vacuum cleaner out to do carpets before getting the Bissell out.

I would recommend this product, it is great for cleaning and so easy to use.

people extracted but I was still surprised (and disgusted!) The machine is solid and heavy, but it pushes itself along so you don't really feel the weight too much. It is pretty simple to use and because I hadn't had my carpet cleaned for quite a while, I used the deep clean mode which does make the carpet a bit wet, but it does vacuum a lot of the water back. I had my heater on and put on the ceiling fans and the carpet was dry by the next day. The carpet came up clean and smelled really nice, but I will have to do a second run over some of the high-traffic areas. I did have a bit of trouble using the stair attachments which were a bit fiddly so I might have to have another look at the instructions and see if I was doing it correctly. Overall, I think it was worth the investment given the price of professional carpet cleaners and I think having the machine there, ready to go, will me I'll probably mean I clean the carpets more regularly.

Generally very pleased with machine works well. Had it 5 years. Most recently is leaking from the clean water tank, tried cleaning it out and spring action looks to be good on the rubber seal. So seal must of failed. Solution, purchase new tank, cost $50+. Rubber seal if it was serviceable a few cents. Very poor design.
Bissell preheat 2x revolution pet series – Both wheels have become " wobbly " (4 months after warranty period) after many emails and explaining ACCC rulings in regards to durability and expectation of use, Bissell consumer department blatantly said I'm not covered. If you want dirty carpets then you’ll get dirty carpets – Bought this carpet cleaner from new did carpet clean only to discover machine actually leaked and reversed dirty water into carpets had to hire another machine to reverse the damage by extracting brown water out. NOT HAPPY – I have this product, It hardly got used and I've had to replace the belt, floor head, and the brushes.. after replacing all them the motor is now gone and it smokes and the hose on the vaccuum is split, im not happy at all. Will not buy a bissell again, the hoover is great. Show details
It breaks after 2-3 times you use it – The first machine reshaped the clean water tank after several uses (only cold water used) - machine was replaced, GREAT. After about 10 times actually using the machine, the serial number (being in a high traffic area for friction) has worn off and in turn has voided the warranty! Why put the serial number in such a spot Bissell?! I haven't owned something EVER that has needed this much attention. When it works it's great but I'm over having to fix/replace something every 2-3 times I want to use the darn thing!
Great Value Product – great carpet cleaner, especially if you have pets. We just got a puppy and the new bissell helps to keep the carpets clean. very easy to use and good value for money. I cannot close that properly for the life of me. You have to clean the brushes every time. Then it started to leak and I don't know where from. In deep clean it does not heat and I think the heater element might be broken, who knows. I dont use it I make my partner use it. And yes it is loud but thats not a massive issue for me. I would rather spend over 1000 on a professional product than buy this again.
Great for cleaning the mattress and sofa – I love the product. Water and sunction works .perfectly takes the stains from my mattress. The suction also is great takes the water out well. But also needs a day for drying the mattress. Or turn on the oil heater in room and mattress will completly dry in few hours. (3 or 4 hours ) Show details

Great if you want the wheels to fall off – I purchased my Bissell Pro Heat from Harvey Norman about 4 to 5 years ago. Wonky wheels from day 1. Don’t waste your money – Bissell do not make products like they used to. This machine is plastic trash, with constant issues from leaking to the suction not working on the attachment hoses. After care service is trash, with Bissell not honouring their warranty. Don’t waste your time or money.
Not a quality product – This machine is great however I’ve only used it about ten times in total in the three years I’ve had it and it’s already broken down. Cheaply made, expensive to buy, a waste of money! – The main problem with this machine is that whilst it delivers the cleaning solution and brushes the carpet, the suction of the machine is insufficient to pick up much of the water which is deposited - I have to go over the carpet with a wet and dry vacuum. I've had a problem with suction until I realised the "nozzle wire" on the front wasn't in the grove properly – Worked perfectly initially - problem started after cleaning both the nozzle attachments. I no longer worry about dropping things to carpet as I can just clean it afterwards using this machine.
One drawback is that its refills are quite expensive so I end up using the carpet cleaner shampoo from Coles that works as well as the liquid that came with the machine.
If you have kids/pets and have a carpet at home - then do yourself a favour and get one of this item and you won't be disappointed.

Excellent investment - this review is for the RED model, not green or purple models – I intended on purchasing a smaller Bissell for $289 but was shown this model by the Harvey Norman salesman and was dubious as of course, he works on commission! brilliant - my rugs and couches are looking like new. Machine is quite heavy to carry but easy to use and is not heavy to push when in use. It is very loud - you cannot have a conversation when using it. The cleaning tray is brilliant as it cleans the brushes and does the nasty work without you having to. The machine does look daunting, but instructions are easy to follow. My advice is to buy this model if your budget allows. I think if I bought a cheaper model I would be wishing that I spent the extra money and purchased this one. I absolutely love it.
