Do not bother to buy if you are in Queensland. They do not have an repairers in Queensland.
Worked perfectly on the first use then when needed 18 months later it had very little vacuum power and left everything wet. I can find no blockage and seems to suck well until the head unit is placed on. Then the vacuum suction drops too practically nothing. Waste of $299. i would not recommend this as a long term product. Show details

wet and not completely clean. I checked everything and all connections were fine and sealed. By this time, it was out of the warranty period and the place to get it repaired is out the other side of town. I've made the decision to get a Shark version. I just bought one of their vacuums and it is brilliant!
Bad machine, short life span, do not buy – Do not buy this machine. Even though you try as best as you can to dry it before you store, it will eventually leak in less than a year. And when it leaks, the Bissell technician would blame it on you. They blamed us for using hot water while we in the right mind would not add that unnecessary extra step on top of all other steps already. Great little cleaner – This little Spot cleaner works a treat and is easy to use and clean. I removed ground in stains on a couch after year of my Dog lying on it and its cleaned them up like new. Only draw back is expensive cleaning fluid supplied so best use other brands at much cheaper prices and use a prestain remover first. Show details

Great at cleaning spills and recent messes – Have used the Bissell Spot cleaner a few times now. It's been really useful when our cat hairballs onto our new rug or if the young kids spill drinks on the couch or blood from cuts track onto the carpet. oxy booster. I also don't like that when you pull the dirty water tank to drain it leaks a little (not sure if user error or not). The machine detaches so you're able to clean thoroughly which I like, except for the hose which you're expected to buy a separate attachment for (it should come with the machine itself).

Great little unit – This unit is quiet but has strong suction. Cleaned my car seats nicely. The dirty water was black! Easy to use and set-up. Broke after 1 use – Valve on the clean water tank failed after the first use. Only way to fix is to buy a replacement tank. Bissell website says the tank is out of stock, and the cheapest 3rd party site is selling them for $70 including postage. Show details
It will last less than two years – I bought this less than two years ago. It worked great to clean up spills from kids, a very handy machine to have at home. problem with this spot cleaner. With the amount you pay and it will only work for two years, not happy. I’m not able to have it repaired under warranty as I no longer have proof of purchase. I’m aware that there is motor replacement online worth $80 but not sure if I should do this every two years, surely the design is flawed. I actually opened the unit to assess the damage as I wasn’t able to claim the warranty. Some parts of the motor pump is rusty especially its bottom with some white chalky build up which indicates that water has managed to seep into the pump section. Also, there were actually little pools of water inside the supposedly dry section as I tried using the spot cleaner beforehand. The sealant separating water from the pump unit is poorly designed. Word of advice, check your machine closing to 2 years mark. It might need its pump replaced due to its design flaws. Otherwise, it does its job.

use, the water tanks of a decent size for the work it is intended for. I would say the one downside for this particular model is the noise and volume of the motor when in use! It would great to find the same cleaning power with less sound. It would also be great if there some extra attachments for more stubborn stains.
Damaged wand with poor customer service under warranty – After a period of approximately 6 months, the wand handle has snapped. After several weeks of consulting with Bissell online, we are yet to receive any resolution for our issue. The customer service under warranty has been extremely poor, and we are still awaiting a response.
So much better then expected! – Took 2 go overs, the second pic is after the first clean dried, third after the second one dried....but I'm pretty impressed! It is noisy. Pretty messy and runs through water and product v v quickly..takes a while to dry as the suction isn't the strongest.....but it does actually clean! measuring cup or clear instructions for what balance of each product to put into water canister or what each product is for. Cannot remove the transparent plastic end from the wider suction head only the smaller head has a release clip. Where is the logic in that as it'll get blocked if it is unable to be cleaned of fluff, hair and dirt after use??? Power cord length is ok for it's size. Suction is reasonable bit still needed to suck the water out multiple times. Took 2 days to dry in a tropical climate. All in all it was ok. It did a great job of my lounge suite fabric and dried reasonably quickly as it's thinner fabric than carpet. It's paid itself off doing the lounge suite alone just needs modifying especially the short suction hose as that's the most annoying and not good for your back.
Ruined my black velour Car seats – After treatment with the SpotClean and the formula coming with the machine, the car seats of my Mitsubishi Outlander turned from deep black to grey. This was the first time I used the SpotClean. I purchased the item from TVSN. The service by TVSN was understanding and very professional. I requested a refund from TVSN. Happy with our purchase but expectations of what it can achieve on old stains are more realistic now. Think this little machine is better place to handle recent accidents.

Please do not waste your money – Echoing the reviews below this item will not last. The ‘customer service’ from Bissell is terrible. It does seem their only interest is telling you your machine is fine, without even assessing it. I would avoid buying this product as it is not worth the money or time in having to follow it up with the company.
Great device - but poor design and doesn't last – I bought my first Spotclean in Nov 2016 - was fantastic, particularly in cleaning up carpet after dog vomits! Ewwww! Used it probably 8-10 times. Very very helpful. Then in April 2018 it just died. Still under warranty, so Bissell sent me the latest model. Used now about 10 times - again for our dogs (one has a very sensitive stomach). Ewww! today, we had the latest accident - and the Bissell has failed to work - no spray. As I am a technician, I took the unit apart only to discover that water had got into the bearing of the water pump motor and caused it to seize. A very similar fault to the one replaced under warranty. Still waiting to see if I can buy parts to fix it. While this version is better, it still has a design fault in how the water spray pump is designed - water should NOT get near an electric motor - they are not good companions!!! The designers in fact expect this failure to occur as they have a suction pipe from beneath the pump motor that tries - poorly - to extract any water that gets near the electric motor - rather than fix the design flaw! It is inevitable that these machines will fail to some degree with this design - maybe just the pump, but maybe more catastrophically!. So expect it to maybe last 2 years - as both mine have. A suggestion if you have one - to reduce the risk of failure in the water spray pump - do the following when you have finished using the machine - remove the water tank, start the machine and activate the water spray until no water comes out - hold it on for about 15 seconds after the last water is sprayed. This will empty the line at the pump and hopefully reduce the water getting near the motor when it is sitting idle - maybe your machine will then last a lot longer. Do NOT leave the water tank on the machine when stored - as any water in it can leak out onto the pump motor! Pity their instructions don't suggest this. Good luck. I'm looking for an alternate cleaner - as I still have dogs with sensitive stomachs - and carpet!!!
Great but doesn't last – Saved my carpets from some serious spills. The whole unit was replaced under warranty as the hose hardened with age. Less than two years later the hose has hardened again and the cleaner is unusable. Can't buy the hose as a spare part as it's a sealed unit. Product doesn't last beyond the warranty period.
Best Buy of 2020! Worth every cent! – Best Buy if you have pets and children you have to get this machine! Works well on lounges, rugs, chairs! Easy to use gets most stains and dirt up. in the water although I started using it at first but then found that the surface of the may felt slipery after sucking the water out but this could have been the remains of a pressure pack carpet cleaner I had previously used. I have been told that cleaning solution residue left on carpet can actually attract dirt. I couldn't believe the amount of dirt came out during cleaning.
Now for the word of advice. Do not assume that the dirty water tank does not need emptying until it looks full. There is a small mark on the tank 'full' and when the dirty water gets to that level a mechanism will shut off the vacuum. At first I thought the machine was faulty but then downloaded a user manual from the Bissell web site which states that the tank must be emptied when the water level reaches that mark but the supplied user manual does not. As such I am not completely happy with Bissell.
Love it! – Purchased a few months ago. Use it to spot clean the carpets in the bedrooms. Does this really well. We have an Irish wolfhound who insists on sleeping on our lounge. So at least once a week I clean my entire lounge with this machine. Removes so much dirt and the dog smell. Very happy with the purchase. Show details
