Just ok. Wouldn't recommend – This vacuum is not very powerful. The brush nozzle's bristles are not very long so it makes a scraping noise across tiles which is annoying. The cord is also not long enough and when you prop the hose up on the back of the vacuum where allocated - it doesn't stay, it just falls down. Show details

Terrible! – Cons - Wheels are stiff, Cord is too short, Hose constantly pulls out of vacuum, Buy a set of ear plugs before you turn it on. It is incredibly loud. After about the 5th use I picked it up by the carry handle which came off while carrying it. The vacuum hit the floor and broke making it unusable. Pros - Fairly good suction Show details

Mechanically it's good, but the filter is $40 – Worked great until the HEPA filter blocked up gradually with dust. A new one is $40 delivered in Australia and there is only 1 supplier available, so this vacuum appears to have redundancy built into it. There's no help on the B&D website. With an unblocked filter it's great, i even cleaned our filter with a stiff toothbrush. But it's not as… Read more

good as when it was new.

Buy but be aware performance will degrade over the months you use it until it's quite useless.

Useless and waste of money – It is terrible and waste of money. Doesn't do the job at all. Needs to much effort. I used it on my floor and carpets both. Big w is not taking it back. Show details

Product overheat, very weak suction – Product overheats after approx. 10 minutes. As the vacuum is still under warranty, I tried contacting Black & Decker but they never got back to me. Suction is very weak compared to my Dyson. Spend the extra dollar to buy something that works and last. Show details

Decent for a budget Vacuum – Looking for a new vacuum, as my old one gave up the ghost after a solid 10 years. While I was actually looking for a more expensive vacuum, had a budget of up to $350 or so. I went for this one as at $129 figured if it last a couple of years I will consider it worth the money until I can purchase a more decent model. Ok now it is louder then I… Read more

expected, lower for sure I do have to bend a tad & the cord is short but having said that where i plug the cord in does the lounge room, hallway, 2 full bedrooms & most of another 2 bedrooms so i can over look this.. The machine does look a tad delicate so I am making sure I treat said vacuum like a child, gentle & not shoving it around.

The suction is IMHO decent to good, at this stage i have used it 6 times at a guess & so far done it's job. I do clean the filter every time before use. At this stage i have no issues with said wheels that appear to be a issue with other reviews. Yes it is heavy but no more then other vacuums I have used.

I have kept the box & receipt just in case. Tho at this stage it is working as expected so I can ask for any more then what you get for $129 from Big W.

Really I am happy with the purchase for now. May change if issues arise but hence a 12 month warranty. The connections do seem a but on the whimsy side but again being careful exactly how i treat the vacuum.

Terrible – I purchased this about a month ago and this one was the first one I bought, terrible experience as initially it was fine working but suddenly it get hot after just doing 1 room and shut down suddenly though I cleaned the filter as well regularly. Unhappy with the purchase. Show details

would never buy B&D again – I have always had success with relatively inexpensive vacuum cleaners but this one is USELESS. the main issue is how heavy it is, the wheels do not roll easily and you are having to tug the vacuum so hard that the hose pops out of the front connection. I will warn everyone NOT to buy this vacuum cleaner unless you want to be yelling expletives the whole time you are cleaning your floors. Show details

Disappointing – We bought this vacuum 5 months ago. At first the suction was great. It began to lose power after 3 months, then the ventilation switch at the handle broke off. I know vacuums don't work well if you don't clean the filters regularly so I made that part of pre-vacuum process when I used it. I did like it being bag-less that was great. But I think… Read more

Black and Decker don't think that men use a vacuum as they made the length of the adjustable tube/ steel piping very short and so you are crouching as you vacuum (painful). My wife is tall as well so she wasn't very impressed. So apart from all that it was adequate for home use. However ... after 20 minutes of use one day it overheated, and stopped working. I fully cleaned it waited a day and it worked again, but now after 10 minutes of use it dies and has to be left to sit for 30 minutes to be able to work again for another 10 minutes. Also this vacuum is very hard to manoeuvre it is like dragging a brick on a rope around the house. I remember a time when Black and Decker were a really good brand (remember the 80's). I know that built in obsolescence is part of all purchases and things will die. But now I am a jaded to buy a Black and Decker product. We are going back to shop to get a refund today and buy a new vacuum, save yourself the effort.

What a nightmare! – We were looking for a vacuum for the interim while we get another after some research. This model seem to be good on watts, bagless and price. No 1. The huge wheels do not roll or spin smoothly on tiles let alone carpet. A rubber put her makes this terrible to move. No 2.The extension pipe and height of the reach is that I have to bend over to… Read more

get good use. I'm 6foot. No3. The cord is only long enough for one room and requires unplugging to do each room effectively. No4. Noise for the full 2000W sounds like a spaceship is about to leave earth. Overall, not to happy with the product in general.

Perfect! – I purchased this vacuum cleaner for my carpet and upholstery. And I must say it is the right choice! It has good suction power and I can get rid of all the dust really fast. I will recommend it for quality and value for money. Show details

Good suction, easy to use and clean – This is my first vacuum cleaner and it is decent. I use it for the wooden floor and carpet as well and for both do a good job. Strong pick-up and good suction, meanwhile easy to use and clean. Highly recommend this vacuum for rugs, carpets, laminate floorboards. All in all, good value and designed well. Show details
