Bodum won't send $10 part - so throw out $149 ! I purchased the Bistro electric milk frother in NZ - its been good BUT after 2 years the spinney center magnet plastic allowed moisture in and it rusted, swelled and won't spin. The spare part on their website is only $9.90 -but not available in NZ. WON"T send to NZ. So my $149 milk frother has to be thrown out. They did say 'sorry' - wow - thats means alot! Buy Nespresso !

Breville is my brand of choice. Went with the BODUM. The sales guy in Myer said he didn’t know much about the BODUM. However, I went with this device - bad decision, must be faulty? It makes a shocking noise and stops shortly after it starts. Waste of money! Back to Breville

No customer support for broken parts – I bought this unit from a reseller and the inlet cover broke off from the bean compartment. I guess this item cost less than $10 in China, and they did not want to replace it. Their attitude was quite dismissive and arrogant, and the product manager's response was quite hurtful. They did not want to recognize the Australian Consumer Law, so now it has to go to fair trade.

First class service. Product a bit meh – Edit 20/05/21: Well the replacement one has gone in the bin. Same problems as the first unit, I'm fed up and decided it's just not worth it. Rating revised to two stars. Not at all surprised it's discontinued. ************************************************************************************************** I bought this frother through an online retailer.

Out of the box the frother was not great - it wouldn't heat properly. It turned itself off after about 15 seconds on the hot frothing setting and the milk was not warmed at all. I had to take it off, let the container cool a bit, put it back on again and restart the cycle. It would usually take about six goes to get the milk (barely) warm enough, which was really frustrating. Occasionally it would work properly the first time.

The service from Bodum was top notch though. The online retailer was absolutely useless, sitting on their hands for over a week, so I reached out to Bodum directly. They had it sorted in literally a few hours, arranging to send me a replacement. Really, it is on the retailer to handle returns so I really appreciate Angela at Bodum Sydney getting it sorted so efficiently.
