5 Sue  · The brush needed to be replaced, the customer service was excellent. No quibbles just exchanged. Happy customer
3 Gizz  · Ok not great – It's ok. I expected better with price of it. I don't get the volume as I would with a dryer and my normal hair brush.
2 claire g.  · Hairdryer not for volume! – It only works as a hairdryer, doesn't leave a blowdry effect and my hair is normally very easy to style and hold a curl!
5 Meredith  · Handle getting hot – Have been using now for over a yr. Now all of a sudden the handle quickly becomes too hot to hold. Any ideas?
3 Brielle  · Was ok – The blowout brush was amazing until it just randomly stopped working only have it for about 3 weeks wasn’t near water or anything just stopped.
5 Chris and Mary  · Best product ever! – Would have to say, the best blow dry outside of a hair salon ever! Well worth the purchase (on sale!)

I loved this so much for three years until the big bang, while drying my hair it sparked, luckily I pulled it away from my head. The brush blew off the cord and out of my hand, the cord was arcing until switched off at power point. Disturbingly it did not blow our power, usually our power shuts down if appliance faulty. Show details

DO NOT BUY!! I have had this for 18 months and it blew up. A massive 'bang' and sparks and shorted my power. I contacted the company and they were not interested. Said they would let their product people know. It was out of their 12 month warranty but I would expect a reputable company to be concerned when their products spark within 18 months of purchase. Show details

Do not buy. Used it about 10 times, and always cleaned my hair out to avoid overheating. I went to use it and the cord and had broken off. My friends on caught on fire. Poor quality, would definitely not repurchase. Save your hair the hairache! Show details

Fizzle sound and stopped working – i bought this in jan 2022, initially couldn’t figure out how to use it for my long curly hair, used maybe 3 times and then in aug 2023 figure out best way to use it. today in the middle of doing my hair it’s started to turn on and off, made a fizzle sound and smelt burnt. i thought the filter was full but couldn’t find it. let it cool down and when i tried again it wasn’t working. Show details

Would not recommend – Contacted Bondi boost about the snapped cord. Unable to help me without proof of purchase. The brush was a gift, which after asking my friend it was a regift. I was unable to retrieve the purchase details and nothing could be done from Bondi boost. Used it occasionally and in good condition. Show details

Obsessed with my Bondi Boss Blow Out Brush – I'm a retired hairdresser, qualified 30 years next month. I have arthritis in AC joints, bursitis, bunched tendons and carpal tunnel syndrome both wrists. For the past few years I've had to put my elbows on my desk to hold my hair dryer and big round brush up to do my hair. I ordered the Blow Out Brush and honestly had no idea how heavy my old… Read more

blow dryer was. I can now dry my hair just swapping hands to do each side easily because the Blow Out Brush is so light and adds body to my fine hair. I've just ordered the 51mm to add a bit more bounce for nights out and family functions.

Original and replacement both broke – I purchased this product and used it for about 6 months, maybe a couple of times a month tops. It broke after that period, just made a fizzling noise and wouldn’t switch back on. Contacted customer service and they sent out another one. Service was good. The product arrived and I literally used it maybe 4-5 times and it made a fizzle sound, saw… Read more

a flashing light and it started smoking - while it was on my head! Very scary experience. Seems like a very cheap product.

When I engaged customer service again, they gave me the option of exchange again or refund. I opted for refund. I returned it witjin a few days. They then let the conversation drag on for weeks. Apparently their customer service team needed to look into it…until o quoted them refund guidelines from fair trade and they came back straight away. They then informed me they wouldn’t be able to provide me with a refund in the same way I paid for it (Ie via cc) but instead via PayPal. I explained that I didn’t have a PayPal account to which they suggested I might use a friend’s account. Quite dodgy and goes against fair trade.

It's good, it does the job – I was given this recently as a present. I already have a blow dryer and a hair straightener and to be honest, I don't use them all that much. I'm older and so only go to a special effort if I am going out somewhere special. The main point of difference I can see between this and my blow dryer is with the BondiBoost, the brush part is… Read more

incorporated, so you can do it one handed, instead of trying to blow dry while simultaneously holding part of your hair with a brush. So it is good in that way, you can dry and style as you go and because it has the different heat settings, you can get the job done quickly. Or I can in any case as my hair is only mid length and fine.

The unit itself is quite big, slightly clumsy to have to hold, but I am getting used to it. The bristles are just the right strength. I am not sure it actually volumises my hair but I have to admit, I spend minimal time styling. The unit is a bit too big to easily manage part fringes, or so I find, although I do use it for that too.

All in all, this has replaced my blow dryer but it has not replaced my hair straightener. Not that I do this to my hair often but the straightener takes things to a whole different level when it comes to straightening hair.

As I told my daughter though, I am very glad to have the BondiBoost, it is great to be able to style hair as you dry it. I know she has one (which is why she bought one for me as well) and she swears by hers! I think she uses hers every day.

Love your Blow Out Brush!!! – I would like to express how happy I am with the Bondi Boost Blow Out Brush. I commented on my friends hair one day and she said that she finally found a product that allowed her to have ‘salon blowdry’ hair. On her recommendation I purchased one. I loved it immediately. Over the years I have purchased other similar products but it is only your… Read more

blowout brush that does exactly what I want. The fact that the heat settings are adjustable and the power is 1200w is a game changer for me. I have since brought 3 more! I have gifted them to my daughter, sister and daughter in law. They too are loving it! It has now become my favorite choice of gift as I love it so much. I also want to address the customer service I received from Marionne , it was more than great. It was excellent. I liased with Marionne via several emails and her attention and service was outstanding. My emails were answered within minutes. Marionne guided me as to how to order online and how to receive the discount offer. When one of my orders went through it did not reflect the discount and I was going to follow up during working hours Mon-Fri however Marionne rectified and commenced the refund process within minutes ! I asked Marionne to provide me with email contact for me to express my thanks for her excellent service but she was very gracious and said it is not necessary. Thank you for this opportunity to give you review. It is very refreshing to know that excellent customer service does still exist as it is becoming quite rare. Congratulations to Bondiboost, if all your staff reflect the same manner of customer service as Marionne, then you are miles ahead of the rest.

Kind regards Rose C

Five star ! – This is without doubt the best hair tool I have ever used ! I bought my first one over two years ago, & since purchased two more as gifts for friends . When it arrived in the mail I thought it was big & bulky, however after using it, I love it to bits . I can dry( from wet) & style my medium length thickish hair in less than ten minutes & it looks as good as the hairdresser does . I highly recommended this product . Show details

Very Happy and Pleasantly Surprised – I have shoulder length hair which I can't leave to dry naturally as it's quite frizzy and has a mind of its own. The Blowout Brush works quickly and gives my hair volume a nice smooth finish and shape. It does take a little getting used to as the handle it quite large but it's well worth the effort. Definitely recommend. Show details

This is a life saver for my hair – I can actually dry & style my hair in around 5 minutes. I didn't believe it would be this good but my daughter insisted I get it & she was right. I love this. I hate my hair as it's always given me grief & this works really well for me. Show details

not even a year – This brush worked well for 10 months and from one day to the other the cord snapped off. I'm lucky it didn't blow off or started smoking like with other people.I read the reviews and it seems to be very common for it to not work for longer than 12 months. what a shame, I was going to buy again thinking it was a one off but now I changed my mind. no more bondiboost Show details

Avoid this brush – Stay away from this brush. I read some reviews and thought maybe some people just got a bad one but it isn't worth it. Just over one year of owning this brush. Great job, easy to use but DON'T LAST – If I was writing this last week it would have noted five stars. However, the Bondi Boost Blowout Brush Pro I was gifted for Christmas 2023 stopped heating and will not turn off with switches. Contacted Bondi Boost and as I don't have a receipt, they will not replace. Used this 2-3 a week. Not risking purchase again in the event these tools don't have longevity. Will be going with Shark. Show details

It is not working on any hair type! Not quick! – Don’t waste your money. A normal brush and hair dryer works much better and quicker. I’ve got more frizzy hair in just one go. It isn’t what you can see in the advertisement, it is a lie! You need to spend much more time than normal brush to have a style your hair. I’m going to refund it Show details

Was good until it exploded – Aside from the handle getting exceptionally hot and needing to use a heat glove I really liked the brush. It was easy to use and didn’t create any frizz, but after 12 month of use it suddenly made a loud bang with a bright light and started smoking, and is now completely dead. I wouldn’t repurchase again due to safety concerns Show details

No real power – Bought one from OS when these first came out and you couldn’t buy them in Australia. It was awesome! Powerful and took less than 10-15 minutes to blow out my long hair. A few years later I replaced it with this Bondi boost model but it’s nowhere near as good. It’s like trying to dry my hair on the lowest settings possible and takes me more than an… Read more

hour to get a result not nearly as good as my first product. I still have them both but can’t bring myself to use the Bondi boost brush. I just don’t have the time. I bought online direct from the company. Quick post. Product looks well-made externally. Easy to use if you can hold your arms up for an hour

Was amazing - for 12 months – I loved my blow out brush so much. It saved me time as I have very long thick hair. I didn’t even need to straighten it after using this brush. Unfortunately it no longer heats up! It’s almost blowing out like warm air. So it does not dry my hair anymore just turns it frizzy. I suppose I got 12 months out of it. But as I only wash my hair once a week that’s 52 uses only. At around $2 a pop. Off to source a sturdier product. Show details

Disappointing and cheaply made – Whilst I enjoyed the hair dryer for its convenience and easy use, I was very disappointed when the cord snapped off at the plastic base. It was not manufactured well as the stress point at the base should have withstood the regular use. I wish I had read these reviews prior to purchasing. More plastic waste!! #%#!! Show details

This is a terrible cheap product – I purchased 2 of the round heated brushes. Both literally burnt through the motor and blew up after no more then 12 use. Cheap rubbish that I had to throw out. Incredibly dissapointing. Show details

Great to usse but disposable – I purchased my first blow out brush in Feb and in April it had a burning smell and stopped working. The company were wonderful and replaced it immediately, no questions asked. Then in March 12 months later I was using it and the swivel cord literally snapped off at the base! I am a hairdresser and know how to wind cords properly so I was very… Read more

surprised that this would have happened. I contacted Bondi Boost and explained the situation that this was the ssecond one that had been faulty in just over 12 months but was told that a warranty only lasted 1 year. They offered 30% discount on any purchase. I am disappointed as I do love the brush but they are clearly not built as quality.

Cheaply built, not made to last over 1 year!! Disposable product!! Stay away!! – I purchased the Blowout brush from Bondi Boost a while ago. This is a product that I sporadically used to style my hair for special occasions, particularly because it has always been very noisy and it becomes very hot (certainly damages the hair with frequent use). After 1.3 years, while styling my hair, it suddenly started with a strange noise… Read more

and a burning smell. I immediately turned it off as proceeding with using it was obviously unsafe. Contacted Bondi Boost for a refund or exchange of this product, and they replied saying that they would not accept the product back as it only has a 1 year warranty!! So, this means that the product won’t last over 1 year. They 'kindly' offered me a 30% discount to purchase another one! But why would I purchase another of the same product after finding out that it is absolute crap and disposable??? I am extremely disappointed about this product's quality and Bondi Boost's customer service and do not recommend this product or brand to anyone.

Good product even better customer service – I bought the blowout brush on Amazon and the motor blew out, they sent a replacement. A few months go by and another one blows. I emailed them and they replaced it again! Very happy. My daughter and I fight over the brush often we just love it. Show details

Didn’t last long – As much as I like this product, it only lasted 15 months. It started making a high pitched screeching noise a few months ago and emitted a burning smell. Then a few days ago it just stopped putting out any heat at all, it’s now… Read more

usless and will end up in land fill. As it’s “out of warranty” a refund or replacement is out of the question, but the offer of 30% off doesn’t cut it with me, how can I be sure it won’t happen again? So I will be trying a different brand. Electrical items like this should last much longer and not be disposable!

2 faulty items, don’t waste your money – First Blowout Brush arrived, used it no problem. Next time I went to use it, 5 days later, it wouldn’t turn on when you rotated the dial. They replaced the brush after lodging the necessary videos/pictures. Second brush arrived, again first use was fine. Went to use it a second time & this time it wouldn’t turn off unless unplugged from the wall.… Read more

Returned and asked for a refund. How can I be so unlucky to receive 2 faulty brushes in a row?? To me, this strongly indicates that the quality is lacking. Customer service however was good with timely responses and the refund was paid without any dramas upon return of the second unit. Funny how the review I wrote in response to Bondi Boost’s request for review doesn’t appear on their site. Makes me wonder how many other 1 star reviews they receive and don’t publish.
