really well on my hair. It only takes 10 mins to do a lot of curls, I put in a small bit of styling mousse & curl spray on my hair after curling & the curls stay in all day. Found it really easy to use, it’s only beeped a couple of times & was briefly tangled when I had the wand at the wrong angle but it quickly released & my hair slid out. Overall a great product that’s easy to use & turns out great curls.

Doesn’t work – I purchased one just after having my baby. I had no time to even try it. I was so excited to finally try it now that I have time to do my hair now that bub is a bit older. Only to find my brand new VS Sassoon won’t even turn on. Have tried multiple plugs. It has been sitting in the box. How does it not work!? Show details

curling, and it sucks it in itself. It's actually really quick too. All the heat is on the inside, so no burns either. The only things I didn't like though are as follows; - I think the buttons should be lower, as when I held the unit on one side, my fingers felt like they could easily accidentally press the buttons. - The instructions say to open the barrel when you hear the beep, but not to start reclosing as it will rotate the barrel the opposite way and tangle the hair. Although I didn't tangle, no matter how slowly or quickly I opened the barrel (and didn't reclose), it started to rotate the other way anyway. Not everytime though either, so I'm not sure what went on. I would recommend this though for people who are a afraid of a big, bare heat wand though!

I like it! Good for an amateur like me – It's a great tool to have for the simplicity and fast way to curl your hair. The convenience of the 3 preset settings are a great for those who don't curl their often or don't know where to start like myself. The beeps were a good way of telling me it was finished. At times I did have too much hair go into the curler and have my hair tangle slightly but it was easy to get out and fix. I have medium hair length and would use the second setting and the first setting to give my hair more texture. Without hairspray, after some time would turn into really loose waves which I didn't mind. I've tried using a curling wand or a straightener to curl my hair and I'm a little clumsy at times and burnt myself once or twice by accident so I felt more confident with the curl secret because there's less exposed bits to burn yourself on.

Quick easy & heaps of volume – I was sent this device to review. The device heated up super quickly and was no fuss to use. It took the same amount of time to curl my hair as a normal straightener which I was surprised by, I thought it would have taken longer. I liked being able to choose looser curls as I was worried it may make my hair look too ringlety but it didnt at all. It also gave my hair heaps of volume! Show details

Surprisingly easy to use! – This curler is amazing! It takes the hard work out of trying to get the perfect curls and it’s so easy to use. Looks like I just got my hair professionally done! I was hesitant at first because of the way it works, but after watching some youtube videos I learned how to use it and it's so easy. Love it!

Amazing curler – This product intrigued me. I wanted to have lovely curls but the hair being sucked into the curler did worry me at first. I was proven wrong. It was so easy to use, I only had two small sections get a bit caught and it was user error. Easy to get loose and redo that section. Not overly impressed – I was not overly impressed with the Vs Sassoon Curl Secret Optimum after receiving it to trial. You can only curl small sections at a time which I found time consuming. damaging the hair. I was also disappointed that my hair did not feel "smooth" as described in the advertising. I probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone as I didn't feel it was worth the effort it took to use it. I was happy however with how light it felt and how compact it was.

Good, but not great – I have found the VS Sassoon Curl Secret Optimum easy to use, but find it takes longer than my straightener does to curl my hair. Its slightly heavier to hold too, and with the heavier curling end, it hurts my wrist to hold it for too long. The curls it produces are great, but I prefer my existing straightener. Show details

Fabulous curls – I love using this to curl my hair for events, but it does take a long time as I have long hair. It creates perfect curls every time which I love, and will be helpful when I'm practicing to get the natural waves look. Show details

Easy to use! – I've never been good at styling my hair but the Curl Secret definitely makes it easier for me. I ended up with beautiful salon looking curls without leaving the house. lasted as well - they hardly dropped all night. I think the secret is not putting too much hair in, less is definitely more with this tool. I think if you're a hair pro you will find this SO easy to use. For me it will take some getting used to but I think once I've mastered it it will take me no time at all. all. I found that it left my hair pretty soft any shiny which was a nice difference to when I normally curl my hair. The only downfalls I would have are the weight - I found it was quite heavy to hold up for longer periods of time and the time it took to curl my hair. I think this is the perfect product for people who do not know how to curl their hair using a straightener!

Not great for thick hair – I have long thick hair and it took me about an hour to curl it all. My hair regularly got stuck and due to it getting stuck then burned it or broke it. also adjustable. I have been using the flat iron to curl my hair, but this product is so easy and quick to curl your hair. It is definitely better than trying to curl with a flat iron.
