Doesn’t work

I purchased one just after having my baby. I had no time to even try it. I was so excited to finally try it now that I have time to do my hair now that bub is a bit older. Only to find my brand new VS Sassoon won’t even turn on. Have tried multiple plugs. It has been sitting in the box. How does it not work!? Show details

Waste of Money

Takes only a very small amount of hair at a time. Although it has 3 settings for different types of curls, it produces completely different curls no matter what setting you use. Very inconsistent results - some sections of hair get a tight curls, some a loose curls and some sections come out completely not curled at all, while using the same setting.

Completely useless product unfortunately.

I get much better results curling with my flat iron - which is also easier to use Show details

The worst product to own

Bought it thinking I could use it for curling my hair. A total waste of money. Hair gets entangled every time you use it and it's very frustrating. Please don't purchase it. Show details

Terrible Device

Not recommended for people with thin hair or people who have hair problems. My hair is shoulder length and this device only allows you to curl very small section and if you put too much, it gets tangled. A lot of my hair has fallen off and been stuck in the device. The curls definitely did not last for an hour, and inconsistent curls. I gave my sister to try and she has straight healthy hair, we've tried every method and position and it did not provide any curls except a wave even with the highest settings. Curling Wand does a better job, went to get an exchange for a curling wand the next day.  Show details

What a nightmare had to break it to get it off the hair, a dangerous crazy design. Do not buy this!!! I did read the instructions for those who are second guessing! Show details

Absolute waste of money

I followed the instructions and watched videos to ensure I was using correctly. It did not curl, time consuming, difficult to use. Would give it a 0 if I could Show details

Quick easy & heaps of volume

I was sent this device to review. The device heated up super quickly and was no fuss to use. It took the same amount of time to curl my hair as a normal straightener which I was surprised by, I thought it would have taken longer. I liked being able to choose looser curls as I was worried it may make my hair look too ringlety but it didnt at all.
It also gave my hair heaps of volume! Show details

Surprisingly easy to use!

This curler is amazing! It takes the hard work out of trying to get the perfect curls and it’s so easy to use. Looks like I just got my hair professionally done! I was hesitant at first because of the way it works, but after watching some youtube videos I learned how to use it and it's so easy. Love it!

Not overly impressed

I was not overly impressed with the Vs Sassoon Curl Secret Optimum after receiving it to trial. You can only curl small sections at a time which I found time consuming. Even then the curls weren't consistent in appearance and did not hold well. This might be due to the fact that I have bleached hair and the settings needed to be on low to avoid damaging the hair. I was also disappointed that my hair did not feel "smooth" as described in the advertising. I probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone as I didn't feel it was worth the effort it took to use it. I was happy however with how light it felt and how compact it was. Show details

Amazing curler

This product intrigued me. I wanted to have lovely curls but the hair being sucked into the curler did worry me at first. I was proven wrong. It was so easy to use, I only had two small sections get a bit caught and it was user error. Easy to get loose and redo that section. I found it easy to use and it gave such fabulous curls that lasted all day. I cant wait to use it again! Show details

Even I can use this!

A great idea and very easy to use! I had tried this sort of product before and got good results, the first time I tried this product though, tangles galore! A tad frustrating before I got the hang of it, after that it was simple and effective! The partitioning of the hair was the toughest part but if you call in a friend, easy peasy. The buttons are placed in an awkward position as I turned it off mid curl a few times and the first time the curls did not stay in at all. Practice makes perfect! Show details

Hi this doesn’t seem to create a curl for me (and have followed instructions and watched online tutorials). It just seems to curl under at the end, rather than create a ringlet type curl? Have tried different settings and amounts of hair. Can you please help? Thank you

Hi I just got my VS sassoon 2 in 1 yesterday and I tried it out today and it worked the first time and then I turned it off and turned it back on but it won’t do anything but make this really high pitch squeezing sound from inside the handle. What could be the cause of this?
