They call you an “independent contractor” — but you have no independence. You don’t control your hours, your rates, your routes, or even your uniform. You’re told where to go, when to start, and how to run the job. If you push back or ask questions, you’re rostered off without warning. No explanation, no accountability.
And here’s the kicker: buried in the fine print of their contracts is a clause that says they don’t have to give you any work. So while the front page promises opportunity, the back page gives them an escape clause. It’s not just deceptive — it’s designed to cover their own backs while bleeding drivers dry.
Drivers here report annual income losses between $15,000 to $20,000 — purely due to broken promises, unpaid days, and withheld work. The only thing consistent is the exploitation.
Even worse is the churn-and-burn approach to staffing. Long-serving drivers are routinely pushed out and replaced with newly arrived migrants, many of whom are unaware of their rights. These workers are given outdated pay structures that haven’t changed in over five years. It’s a calculated move — keep costs down by keeping workers in the dark.
The internal culture is toxic. Allocators are aggressive, unhelpful, and speak to drivers like they're disposable. Communication is poor, support is non-existent, and the company shows no loyalty to the people on the ground doing the real work.
For drivers: This is a trap disguised as an opportunity. Once they’ve used you, they’ll move on to the next person.
For customers: Ask yourself — do you really want your freight handled by a company built on exploitation, deception, and driver turnover? There are ethical alternatives out there. This isn’t one of them.
This company is not just part of the problem — it is the problem.

misinterpreted her questions, or even asked questions (such as when pick up time would be). I understand that I had to provide all the required information, but it was not necessary for her to use such a degrading and rude tone. I would have been happy to call back with all the details. I was so shocked by the horrendous customer service I had received, especially as we are a customer who frequently uses their services.
Rude, yelling & swearing customer service staff – called the fleet department to enquire subcontracting opportunity & this lady started yelling & swearing (very rude) . She refused to give her name (maybe she realised how rude she is). Tried to report/escalate this to management but they just kept on reconnecting me to different people/numbers. Show details
First time experience and Worst service – Customer service phones busy all day no phone back reply,item said delivered nothing at my door or a knock been home all day ,need to get to the bottom of this as it's a $400 item from Harvey Norman online and they use this crappy courier service . very good customer service – I have used Bonds a few times have to say they have one of the best customer service in the courier industry. Nothing is ever too hard for them. The sales rep was very helpful and setup my account in less then a day. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a same day courier company.
Wow morally Never use this company ! – I was rushed into hospital for a major operation. Came out finding I owed Bonds $200 via a legal letter. I rang and paid them as so as I was recovered. They said "Sorry we're closing your account, you cannot use bonds anymore" !! How Rude ! Stay away from Bonds !
Excellent – I used them to shift something and I did not have an account with them. Simple, just paid over the phone by visa (cheaper than the multi nationals) and the job was done with no fuss and no hassles or hold ups. A company that is different. Try them you will be amazed how easy it should be. Easy to contact in Brissy and good service, second to none None. The most streamline transport mob I have ever dealt with
