Bonza Dog Treats

My experience with Bonza Dog Teats was very controversial and left me gutted at the end. Well – in first instance I decided to go ahead with my 1st purchase from them because I read on their website *Our Story* - beautiful intro about handmade treats and so on. So without a doubt I assumed that buying from them I`ll support a small Au-based business that makes amazing healthy treats for pets. Yes – prices were roughly 40-50% more expensive to compare across the market but I didn`t mind as I always had heart for those who make and sell own products. My first three orders were great — I purchased Kangaroo Jerky, and each time received thick, steak-like pieces of air-dried jerky, about the size of an adult palm. The quality was excellent and exactly what I expected for the price. Unfortunately, my fourth order was a completely different story. I paid $112.50/kg for the same product, but what I received was nowhere near the quality of my previous orders. The jerky was thin, bendy, and clearly from different cuts of meat — more like cheap, chewy filler with lower nutritional value. It felt like I was paying steak prices for gravy meat. I contacted the company and discovered the truth: Bonza Dog Treats is not a producer — they’re resellers. They buy from wholesalers and substitute products without informing customers. Despite the product being marketed as "Kangaroo Jerky," there’s no consistency or transparency about what you're actually getting.. And they substitute products as it works for them – when something is not available they substitute without a warning or consent from the buyer. Their website doesn`t say anything about it – they list 1 product being Kangaroo Jerky and send you what`s available at wholesaler place. And they forcefully tried to tell me that the products are the same (but they are NOT). Even worse, when I raised my concerns, they insisted the product was the same and offered only to accept a return at my own expense (about $15), plus a second delivery fee to send a replacement — essentially asking me to pay $140–$150 for a single bag of treats – that left me shocked and gutted. I asked if I cat send it back at my expense and get a refund and was told NO. This review is to warn others: when you buy from Bonza Dog Treats, you’re not supporting a small local maker — you’re paying premium prices to a reseller with no quality control and no guarantee you’ll receive what you paid for.
