Waste of time & money
Ordered a book in the first week of November for a Christmas present. Since it was a backorder, I figured I'd wait a bit extra to give them some time to get stock. Three months later, chased it up to see what was taking so long only to be told that the title is actually out of print and they're never getting stock. Seems like if you don't chase them about these things they'll just quietly keep your money and not care about supplying you with what you paid for. I was then offered a credit voucher, not even a refund for my money that they've been holding onto for almost four months now.

Cancelled my order without my permission
Soon after placing an order for a book, Boomerang contacted me to tell me they didn't have it in stock despite it being listed as in stock on their website. I checked with the publisher and it was listed as in stock on their website, I then contacted the publisher over phone who told me that it was on a 'print to order' basis. When I advised Boomerang of their mistake, the arrogant Managing Director '[name removed]' canceled my order and refunded my money without my permission instead of taking the necessary steps to procure the book that I ordered.
refund when unable to deliver
this is the best online book company I've ever experienced. They tried hard to get my order, when unable they emailed me personally to advise me to cancel the order. that was about 9 months ago. I finally gave up & submitted to their advice, cancelled the order & next day my money had been refunded in full. 5 stars for business process & integrity, trustworthy.
Ordered 2 books, one still sourcing after 10 days!!!
Ordered 2 books for my uni units. After placing the orders I received emails stated that the books will arrive 7 to 10 days and then another 2 emails stated that the books will be sourcing. After 10 days, one book is on its way and another one is still sourcing. I would advise you to think it through before placing an order with this bookshop.

I have been purchasing books from Boomerang for a number of years for the Library where I work. Throughout this time I have ordered hundreds of books - fiction and non-fiction, graphic novels, manga, text books - books from all round the world. I have found them to be extremely helpful and willing to go out of their way to resolve issues. The book world is complex with print on demand, copyright issues, distribution issues. The estimated time for delivery is only ever going to be an estimate, it is always wise to email them and check first if something is required urgently. They make thousands of book titles available and are my go to website.

Do Not Order From Here
This is a warning to any person thinking about ordering a book from Boomerang Books. I unfortunately had to learn the hard way so I hope this review will prevent anyone else going through the same experience. I ordered a book online for my boyfriend’s birthday. As always, I checked the refund policy to make sure I could return it. I was pleased to read that I could cancel my order at any time and receive a full refund with the book being returned within 21 days. Turns out I did need to cancel this order as my boyfriend wanted the hard copy cove...r not the paper one. When I called to cancel, I was informed that this was an ‘Imported Order’ and I could not cancel it. I couldn’t believe it! Where did it tell me that this was an imported order? As far as I had been informed, this book came under the general refund policy stated on their website. If it was in fact an imported order, then I needed to have been told that throughout the checkout process so I could decide whether or not I wanted to proceed. I questioned the girl on the phone who ended up passing me onto the Manager, [name removed]. He shouted at me for questioning him and hung up. Unbelievable! I contacted Consumer Affairs who advised that yes, it did need to be stated on my order whether it was an imported book so I opened up a case with them. Consumer Affairs contacted Boomerang Books this week and advised them that their Refund Policy does not meet Australian Consumer Law. No surprises here, Boomerang Books still refused to refund or contact me to apologise. The next step is to take them to court if I want my money refunded. Now, if I was a small business and Consumer Affairs contacted me to tell me that my Refund Policy did not meet Australian Consumer Law, I would call the customer straight away and apologise for the error and offer them a full refund. When you are at fault, you need to own up to it and rectify the situation. Because of the error in their refund policy, I am the one who has to suffer. And a message to [name removed], you work in customer service. You should absolutely never yell at a customer. It is incredibly unprofessional. There are plenty of other amazing book stores out there who actually care and look after their customers. Stay away from Boomerang Books!!

I did not get what I had ordered and so emailed to find a way to solve the matter, did not get a reply, so I then called and spoke to the Manager [name removed] I think his name was-he was extremely rude, arrogant and failed to resolve my complaint. Definitely will not use this website again, waste of time and money.
Miss leading info bad customer service and crap shipping times
Web site states shipping 7-10 days to mislead customers into thinking that they will receive their order in that timeframe when in reality they have to order they book themselves and then ship it to you. 2 week processing times are not good enough. obviously unhappy with this id contacted them to find out what was happening and was met with rude customer service and an offer to express post it to me at my cost when they receive it.

Fast delivery and good services
The books I ordered arrived within 2 weeks and were in excellent condition. The bookstore also features Boomerang Bucks that allow customers to use them as credit on next purchase. There's communication on every stage of processing so you know when your order would arrive.
