Biggest waste of money! – I only left one star because I can’t leave 0. I bought the washing machine and dryer at the same time, both have needed major repairs. The washing machine is approximately 2 1/2 years old. Out of warranty after 2 years. It has been leaking intermittently from the day we bought it. I was told by the technician that came to check it, at my… Read more

Now after much arguing with Bosch the seal, which was finally identified as the issue, has been replaced under warranty but now it bangs when spinning and I have just been told the belt needs to be replaced - ITS NOT EVEN 3 YEARS OLD! This time I have to pay for call out and labour - THANKS FOR NOTHING BOSH! I will never buy another Bosch appliance, I don’t have money to waste on expensive unreliable appliances you deserve a 0

Fantastic machine - spins at 1600RPM quietly – We bought this to replace a brand new LG front loader that could not spin on our hung wooden floor without major banging/rattling. This new Bosch washes about the same but on the spin it is brilliant - spins faster (1600RPM) and manages this on our old 1980s wooden floor with minimal noise. Very pleased. Show details
Works well and very quiet – Very sturdy and heavy machine. 1.5 years of use now. Will update if any issues in future. Spin cycles are very quiet, which I am happy about. The automatic detergent and softer dosage system works quite well. It will remember the dosage setting on each wash program, which makes it easy. So I use - Auto-soft setting for sports clothes on light… Read more · 1
detergent and no softener. - Auto setting for general mix of washing - Cottons setting for cottons with medium detergent and softener - Cottons setting for bed sheets and linen, but I up to 60 deg manually. - Shirts setting for my weeks worth of work shirts. It is basically a delicate wash but only spins at 800 rpm. So they come out fairly wet but I just hang them to make ironing easier.
The inbuilt scales for weighing kind of work, but seem a bit inaccurate. I don't really care what they say anyway. It is unlikely you can fit 8.5kg in the tub. Tub is still bigger than my last machine though. But 8.5kg is a lot of clothes.
Lots of customisation options but you'll need to read the manual. You can turn down the volume of the 'completed' noise.
No issues with mould in the door seal. It has some drainage holes in the seal and only a small piddle remains.
Machine looks very nice.
The WAW28620AU is appears exactly the same except for looks and the internal scales.
So quiet – We have recently replaced our older Bosch front loader washing machine with the new and improved model. The new machine cleans as well as the older model. Our old machine used to beep loudly when it was finished and continued periodically until you attended to the machine. The new machine now has a much softer sound and not as shrill. cycles also seem to be a lot quieter than previously as I had to check it was still going. The new machine clearly states the cycle it is on and how long is left. Overall I am still enjoying the Bosch models. The customer care I have received from Bosch previously has been outstanding. I have owned Bosch for a few years now and really like their products.

We paid for new but received USED - Avoid at all costs – This product arrived together with a matching dryer Home Professional dryer that does not dry at all. This machine had wear marks and even water inside the machine - it clearly had been a demonstration model, was second hand, had no user manual, warranty card or information, no packaging. supplied with the machine and neither Bosch nor Appliances Online have picked up the phone once.
Appliances Online offered free installation but told us it was too hard and we had to then pay a plumber to install both the washer and dryer.
We have contacted Bosch in Australia and Germany SEVEN times and all they do is say someone will contact us. Their only contact is an email which asks our address and model numbers which we supplied to them at the outset.
We have contacted Appliances Online TWICE but they have not responded whatsoever. It is them that supplied the second-hand goods which I believe is illegal.
No doubt they will append an invitation to contact them again here but don't be fooled they simply do not respond and do not care.
Or advice - avoid Bosch at all costs. Their product quality, performance and customer service are simply appalling.
We are now off to Consumer Affairs to report both Appliances Online and Bosch.

Fantastic, when it works – It is be a great machine with some useful features and modes (towels, down, wool). Very good build quality. And quiet. It takes a large amount of washing. The special delicate settings can only do 2 or 3 kg loads, so that's a bit misleading for a 8 kg machine. The big problem is the electronic display module / control panel. Ours is not working.… Read more
We have had many Bosch appliances over the years. Normally very hardy things. We moved house and now it doesn't work; can't get the thing to start. Quote to repair is over $600 and parts have to come form Germany say the agent. It's insured but it's very hard to battle along for such a long time till the claim in approved and they can fix it. A family of six really battling here! A disappointed, loyal customer. Right now I'm eying out rival German brands' 9 kg offerings.

Excellent wash results, poor warranty service – We bought this washer on 16 January 2020 to replace a older Fisher and Paykel top loader that had developed a leak. We selected this model Bosch as it had a broad range of automatic stain removal settings (which my wife loved in our Fisher and Paykel and wanted again) and the Bosch brand got excellent customer reviews. getting really fantastic wash results with clothes noticeably cleaner and brighter, its impressively capable as a washing machine. One the not so good side - the machine is complex to use if you want to access some of the options and the manual is often less than helpful (for example the delayed start is easy to accidently engage, is not mentioned anywhere in the manual, and it took lots of googling to find out how to turn off). Or the towel setting by default spins at 1400 RPM leaving the towels quite hard and spiky - it tool lots of googling to find that we needed a lower spin speed for towels of 800 RPM, and now we have fluffy towels again.
The major concern my wife and I have (and I have put this on the Bosch site as well) is that really Bosch's warranty service is unacceptably slow. We called about a fault on 10 February and the earliest they could send a technician was 24 February. We escalated to Appliances online who said they would contact Bosch and get back to us, this didn't happen either (also very disappointing). So we took matters into our own hand to get it fixed independently, rather than be without a washing machine for 2 weeks. My wife and I were both shocked - for a new appliance you should not have to wait 2 weeks for a service call, especially something used every day like a washing machine. So we have gone from being happy to recommend Bosch washers to friends to saying "they are good machines, but be prepared to get it fixed yourself if there is an issue under warranty.". Not what you would expect from what is supposed to be a leading brand.

Expensive. Better results! – At ~$1700 AUD, I was surprised at the cost, but I had asked my wife to do the research, so I said OK. I expect these things to last 20+ years, so OK. The previous washing machine was OK. It had an annoying user control issue, and had started to leak from the detergent receptacle and rust, we were waiting for it to break. standard washes, shirts with slow final spin etc, no complaints, but then we made no comparisons as we only ever use the one washing machine.
This new top of the line washing machine is doing startlingly well, cleaning shirts and sheets and pillowslips way better than they have every been cleaned before. This is using the same detergent, the same temperature, and the cycles are about the same length. I'm mystified, it's like magic, how this new machine suddenly cleans so much better.
Worked pretty well until the seal failed – This washing machine mostly worked well for 5 years at 1 load per day until a small part of the rubber seal broke/tore off and it now leaks water. small gap at the bottom which is letting out the water.
There were some clothes over the years that it ruined/tore and we couldn't work out why. It's not something we expected would happen with a washing machine that was near the top of the range for Bosch at the time that we bought it.
The Speed Perfect feature should be on by default because that's what nearly all of our washes are. If you accidentally forget to press it then it'll most likely cost you an additional hour (or more) for that wash cycle if you walk away and don't immediately reset it. I think Bosch has changed that setting in more recent models.
Overall, it's done a lot of washing (some 2,000 washes?) so I'd say its been good overall.
Would I buy another? Highly likely.
Not as good as I expected – Yes it washes and does a lot of other functions, however there are some issues for the washing machine that I wouldn't expect. Mold grows on the front rubber seal as water collects there; the capacity is small for what you pay for; the washing time is very long; I do not get a notification when the detergent dosage is low. Faulty – Bought this at Harvey’s 3 years ago, was told it was top of the range so paid good money for it. It seemed to operate well until clothes started coming out smelly. Eventually these and the water shutoff valve were replaced as mould kept returning. 8 months later dispenser is emptying onto floor and mould has returned. renegade tissues seem to be less of a problem when accidentally thrown in with clothes (still a first world problem though). I will only buy Bosch appliances for my house from now on. I have one of their dishwashers (equally brilliant). BUT the best thing about Bosch is their customer service. They are always understanding and stand by their products. You will pay more for them, but it will be well worth it. I only buy the German-made Bosch, as I find they seem to be higher quality again. Bosch is the only company that I've dealt with where I've been happy with the outcome of a complaint.

Bad design – the rinse result is not acceptable – We bought Bosch WAY32540AU about 2 years ago and initially we felt the washed clothes were not soft compare to our previous front load washing machine ;eventually we realized it didn’t rinse properly and the detergent left inside of clothes. We reduced to the usage of detergent and add 3 extra rinses to improve a bit but still were not satisfied… Read more
by the rinse result.
By the further investigation , we had found previous washing machine gave a spin between each rinse but Bosch WAY32540AU just drained the rinsed water without spin and the foam of detergent sill left inside of the machine – we found it by the last rinse water from drainage pipe.
It’s definitely a bad design and you had to be really careful of detergent usage and adding more rinse time, generally speaking , it wastes water, energy and time whatever the machine claims
I am not sure how to fix this design problem , upgrade the firmware of the machine? who knows!
Even the result is not acceptable but the machine runs smoothly and quietly , so 2 stars.

This NEVER happened in my old machine, or any of the other machines I've had or used in the past! (I've used frontloaders for 25 years.)
I already own many Bosch appliances which I'm very happy with (dishwasher, induction stove etc) so I have to say this was a rather disappointing buy as it is much more expensive than most other brands.

though we have a number of Bosch appliances at home. The technician suggested that the reason would be clothes caught up in the seal - this is not the case as I never had that happen. Do not recall the month of purchase but it was some time in 2014.

just coats and clogs your machine (one of the reasons I had to change the old F&P top loader).
CONS
Manual - This manual is far better than the WAY32540 which was a direct translation from German to English with the subsequent ambiguities. There are still some issues where things are either unclear or potentially incorrect
Example: In the drum cleaning explanation it states: "Use washing powder or detergent with bleach" - I think that may actually be "without" but I am happy to be corrected, either way I wouldn't put bleach in my machine.
Example: In the towel section it states: "Hard wearing, heat resistant towels made of cotton; especially soft towels" - Does this mean you get soft towels or only suitable for washing soft towels?
Programme - I haven't used every program but in general the "Mix" load gets the most usage. This program is 4kg load capacity and I would say is the "real" capacity of the machine. The larger 8.5kg program for "Cottons" is an absolute mystery to me. If you put T shirts, linen shorts or other items that I would have thought suitable, they will come out extremely hard and potentially damaged, it is a vigorous cycle to say the least.
I would appreciate a clear explanation full of examples from Bosch if they could provide one.
PROS
Noise: This machine is extremely quiet in comparison to its predecessor, never mind a top loader. You can close the door and not know it is on.
Programs: There are some new programs that are extremely useful;
Towels - the towels come out clean and soft as you would expect, almost top loader softness
Stains - various stain types are a selection and these seem to work well in conjunction with a stain remover
Parameters: You can change certain settings to better achieve your desired results
Water Plus - additional water which I use to ensure softer results (it would be good to understand how much more is used)
Rinse Plus - additional rinse cycles may be added
Less ironing
Speed: The mix load takes just under an hour which is in line with a top loader. Additionally you can add clothes part way through the cycle if required as long as the water is not hot.
Beware: There is a drum cleaning program and it states to use 1/2 of normal detergent dosage. I did this and had suds going everywhere, I had to shut down the program and rinse until all suds were gone. I would suggest using next to none until you know what your detergent is like
The reasons the machine gets a 4 star and not 5 at this stage are:
1. I would need more time to utilise all programs to see how they perform
2. I would expect this kind of result from a machine that costs over $2000
3. I do not see the Cottons program as a true Australian cottons program and as such the perceived capacity is reduced
4. As with most front loaders, drum size is a possible constraint not allowing full weight load

Issues – There seemed to be an few recurring issues with this model when you read the reviews and talk to owners. 1. Clothes would experience wear that was… Read more
beyond any normal, expected and acceptable level. I had towels that you could see through in areas as the fibers had been stressed too much and there were catches in the clothing everywhere. This appeared to be the result of the drum design in conjunction with the low water levels. The drum has a raised dimple with the water escape holes drilled into it. The clothes drop onto the dimples to clean the clothes but since they are wet and not floating in water, they smash onto the dimple causing damage from what I could determine.
I spent 6 months of dealing with Bosch Customer service who are professional and the Technicians who are the same but few and far between, I got a replacement WAY32790 since this model was discontinued. (read review of that for a better experience).
Bosch need to have more qualified people on the ground and have far better Q&A on their designs or the brand will suffer.

Do not buy a Bosch front loader – Our washing machine is not even a year old. So far, the front door seal has ripped ($360 with service call) and now the washer won't drain due to a 'blockage'. To make a long story short, I now have a bleeding hand, a broken drain pump screw and a flooded laundry. It appears, from the many dozens of websites and forums that I wish I had read… Read more
before I bought this very ordinary washer, that it is impossible to remove the drainage screw if anything larger than a piece of fluff is stuck in the drain. That means, if you accidentally wash any clothing that has coins in the pocket or bras with underwire that might come loose and make their way into the washing, your machine will seize up and be useless. Despite the tutorials online that make the process look simple, the one glaring oversight is that if anything large or solid makes its way into the pump, you're stuffed!
No doubt this will cost me many hundreds of dollars to remove the coin (or whatever it is) and repair the extremely flimsy screw cover to the drainage pump. So infuriated. And this is not the only review I've written about my pigeon pair Bosch washer and dryer. They're sub-standard. Go for something else.

8.5KG CAPCITY? YOU HAVE GOT TO BE JOKING! FALSE ADVERTISING, WHAT A CON! – A few weeks ago we bought a new washing machine from Bosch. We own a small lodge/B & B and have very specific requirements. have all rooms checking out then we can have 7-9 loads to be washed a day. Each room has 2 loads of washing plus their is our washing and general household laundry. Often we also have douvre and bedspreads to wash which are bulky items and our beds are all super king so all the linen very large. I specifically said that I wanted a machine that held at least 8.5kg. The woman was very helpful I thought at the time and directed me to the BOSCH WASHING MACHINE WAY32790AU . Bosch do not sell their items directly to the public, so I went through Harvey Norman Commercial. I once again told my story to the salesman on the phone and he ordered me the machine I had been recommended. At no stage did anyone suggest this was not an appropriate machine for the amount of washing I have to do. The machine arrived and was dumped in my laundry, not unpacked, not installed. This was a first for me as all the machine I have purchased in the past have both been unwrapped and installed. So as it is an extremely busy time of year, it sat around for several days waiting for time for us to install it and read the screeds of information about. So we started using it. Very quickly it became apparent that the machine doesn't do anything like 8.5kg, in fact I don't think it would even hold that amount. It always flashed full at either 5kg or less. Many of the cycles are 4 or 3 kg. It has a tiny capacity. It wouldn't even be suitable for a normal family. What is worse is that the towel cycle lasts 2 - 3 hours!!! depending on the number of towels that do into it and they come out over spun and like stiff cardboard. We have lots of sunshine in the Bay of Plenty where we live so only use the dryer occasionally. However the only way we can make our towels nice and fluffy for guests is to put them in the dryer. They are brand new towels this year and very good quality so I don't want to have them constantly in the dryer not to mention the unnecessary cost of doing so. Last week after trying to get hold of the National Sales Manager at Bosch I finally got hold of him and firstly he wasn't able to tell me with out going down and trying a machine about how I could get 8.5kg. After some discussion, he conceded that the information I had been given was misleading and that he agreed the machine was not fit for purpose in my situation. He did not offer to take the machine back although it was his company and his staff that had recommended I buy it. He has told me to go back to Harvey Norman and ask to return it and find a machine that will do the job. I have not had time to do this yet but that is my next hurdle. Watch this space! I am not finished by any means but would not recommend this machine. One thing I do think though which is positive is that the clothes come out a whole lot cleaner than my previous top loaders. So if you are a couple, with lots of time to wash towels and don't mind them being board like once washed then this is the machine for you. Oh did I mention that it is also extremely expensive.

customer service. I had the machine looked at over a month ago and it still has not been fixed. They are still waiting on parts. So that is 1 month without a working washing machine. Disappointed Bosch customer for the 2nd time! When will I learn? – I'm on my second Bosch washing machine in 5 years. I finally made the switch from top loader to front loader 5 years ago after friends told me I didn't know what I was missing. I loved it! Unfortunately to replace the motor you may as well buy a new machine so by the time I had paid 2 technicians to come out I decided to donate the machine to my parents to fix & keep. As I loved my Bosch I decided to get the same machine but the updated model WAY32540AU/39. Not thinking it was possible, this machine was even better! Patting myself on the back for choosing another Bosch (when all my friends have & highly recommend Miele machines) I thought I'd made the right decision. So last week the rubber seal around the opening split on my 1-year-old machine. Needless to say I am really frustrated and disappointed. I am yet to find time to have it fixed and am packing towels around the front of my machine as the water runs straight out every time I use it. In a nutshell, great machine but I've had too many costly problems with the Bosch & will be buying a Miele next time.

Cleans well but getting holes in clothes on the not-so delicate delicate cycle – I bought this to replace an Asko front loader that was starting to play up after 13 years of service. if the retailer had offered Miele machines, I would have bought something else. This machine is quieter than my old Asko, and cleans well. It seems to require less detergent than the Asko, and is energy and water efficient. The machine weighs each load of laundry, although it is sometimes a little finicky when weighing, and needs the machine to be turned off then turned on again to get the scales working. My big disappointment with the Bosch is the holes that have started appearing in my clothes. I've now found holes in 3 items, all of which were washed on the delicate cycle, in 3 separate loads. One shirt was even washed in a garment bag, and was new - I thought it must have arrived damaged. It happened with another new dress, and once again I thought I must not have checked the item well enough when I bought it. But now a t-shirt which I KNOW did not have a hole in it when I loaded it in the machine has acquired one. It was washed with a pair of trousers which had a zip, as was the dress. Zip or not, holes sustained while washing on a delicate cycle is disappointing from such an expensive machine.

The water consumption was pleasingly surprising, I should have done this years ago. I am so excited I had to write a review. I really hope my love affair with this beautiful German machine continues. Fingers crossed.
Warranty Service Centre Is Polite However No Good – The machine is ok, the drum has a squeaking noise. Be careful there is no warning sticker like most all machines in Australia about removing travel bars. Loud compared to others I have. Hard to clean the rubber ring. Unusually sensitive if you don't have a full load stops to easily. Don't buy this machine!

Logixx 8 kg machine great little workhorse – The machine does a great job using eco detergents and warm washing. The machine does not like duvets but as it gets unbalanced. Have had the machine for 4 years and it works well. Good product. The machine is quite and I like that it can dry the clothes at 1600RPM Show reply
Best Washing Machine I Have Ever Had! – Bought it to replace an Asko, best idea ever. Washes so well and so many options for different loads. Super quiet and can not hear it when its no. Love the delay settings as it allows me to make sure the washing is finished just in time for me to get home. Would only ever buy Bosh again. Fantastic Machine Show reply

It's not a quit machine though but the clothes comes out clean and it doesn't wear-out your clothes.
