3 years of Service, Good machine – We've had our Bosch for 3 years now and so far its been a great machine with no issues while serving a 5 person household with some pretty messy kids. Washes great, rinses great, doesn't damage clothes and leaves them well wrung out on the high rpm spin setting. I was considering buying a high end machine like a miele or a european bosch, but this… Read more ·  1

one has probably paid for itself already given i got it for a cheap price.

The high rpm spin puts out a pretty good whine, but close the laundry door and it is quite reasonable. The only very minor issue i have experienced was the counterweight on top of the drum came loose and made a hell of a racket on spin. That was a simple fix though, took off the top (2 screws), and tightened down the 2 nuts that held it on (with a dob of locktite), fixed. So if you start hearing a death rattle from your machine, check that before ringing the repairman, easy fix. Cheap, lots of cycles including rapid ones (39 min), works a charm and sofar, reliable. Bit noisy on high rpm spins, counterweight came loose and made a bad rattle (easy fix $0)

Excellent – A fantastic piece of equipment with excellent results, far exceeding my expecations. Bosch have put a lot of thought into this machine. It is worth the extra dollars I spent, I only wish I had bough one a long time ago. For anyone looking to buy Bosch it is also worth paying a little bit extra to get the additional 3 functions (extra rinse, easy… Read more ·  1

iron, 15 minute wash)- you won't be disappointed I promise you.... Forget the cheap Chinese ones, this is the biz!! I purchased a WAE24461AU a couple of weeks ago, the one with the extra functions express 15 minute wash, easy iron and rinse plus. I wanted a machine that wasn't made of cheap parts in China or Korea and one that used both less water and less energy. My experience of Chinese made washing machines is that a short time after using them, you have to call in the service guys to fix them. I found out that Bosch suited all my needs and I was prepared to pay a lot extra to get what I wanted. The only other European machine was Miele which was completely out of my price range. Everything else in the store was Asian made/Asian parts. I compared the Bosch with all other machines (discounting the Miele as I couldn't afford it)and this was rated as being the best machine for less water and energy consumption.I purchased the machine from Good Guys in Midland, the warranty only being $139 compared to Harvey Normans of $155, I also paid a lot less than H.N's. The Good Guys are the cheapest of all the other stores. Before purchasing the machine I read all of the reviews. I knew what to expect of a front loader as I have always used this type of machine. I was a bit scepticle at first as I read some reviews which said that "towels were hard" or that the washing was "only damp" or "had damp spots on" which led them to believe that the machine hadn't really washed the items properly. I have found out the reason for their remarks and know that they are not justified. This brilliant machine is "too" efficient and I think I might never have to use the 1200 rpm spin speed as so far I have not needed to (but perhaps I might need this during the winter months so that I can get the washing to dry quicker). I have found out that compared to the Whirpoool 1000 rpm machne I had, with the Bosch I really only need 800 rpm setting to get the same spin results. When I did use 1000 rpm the washing came out with some creases. So to all those who've said the washing comes out with a few damp spots on, or the towels are hard, try re-setting your machine and lowering the setting down to 800 and maybe use 'easy iron'. It really does work. I found that 1000 rpm is far too much. What a fantastic machine. At first the instructions seemed confusing but after a short while I found out how to use all the settings and which ones best suited my needs. The function buttons are easy to use as well. I was so excited with the results that I was scouring the house to find other items to wash - not a problem in my adult son's room, there's plenty lying about!! I never thought I would rave so much about a washing machine and I am so happy that I opted to buy this machine. It is no more noiser than other machines I've had and I love the fact that it has a buzzer to let me know the wash has finished so that I can put another load in. My husband has sensitive skin and so it is a bonus that it has an extra rinse facility. I much prefer this machine compared to the Whirpool I had because you can vary all of the programmes and use a combination, spin speed, easy iron, extra rinse, washing tempature. I'm not really sure about the 'soaking' function yet, or whether it would be better to soak the items separately in the tub, perhaps I wasn't using the machine properly as per the instructions. So far, the machine has lived up to my expectations snd somewhat more. Our work clothes which are delicate fabrics come out lovely and clean and don't need much ironing. I haven't had the chance to user the timer/delay function yet but I know I certainly will. This is another bonus over the machine I previously had in addition to the 90 degree wash which not all machines have. Oh, and another bonus not all machines have a half load facility and with the Bosch it has an automatic device which knows how much water the machine needs for the amount of items you've loaded. The fact that it doesn't have an on/off button and you have to turn it off at the plug. Bosch must have a very good reason for this. This is the only fault that I can find.

Excellent – This Bosch has replaced a 20 year old 7.5kg Simpson top loader we had from new. We were reasonably happy with the Simpson, and it never broke down. After considerable research, we chose to buy the Bosch WAE24461AU, we are very happy with it and feel we made a good choice. Compared to the Simpson, it's much quieter, washes cleaner, spins dryer,… Read more

just much better all round, but closer to the floor to get the washing in and out. Cloths dry much faster in the tumble dryer now, using less power. Quiet, easy programs, water and power efficient, cleans the cloths well and spins quite dry at 1200rpm. No problem with washing woolens and shirts (poly cotton)are crease free. Easy manual over-rides on front panel. None at the moment, we have only owned it for 3 months.

Excellent – Except for the one con of having no manual door release, we think this is a great machine and highly recommend it for the price. We got this washer (WAE24461AU) to replace a noisy and unreliable Electrolux front loader which we returned. This unit has been fantastic, it is quiet, efficient and has a massive range of wash programs/options. The… Read more

build quality is better than most other washers we looked at and IMO right up there near Miele. There is no manual door release, so the machine has to complete a full drain cycle before the electronic latch will allow the door to open. This can be frustrating, especially if you have just pressed 'start' and want to stop add items to the load.

Excellent – We have been using this machine for around 3 weeks now. Washing for a family of 6 and having just moved to a semi rural property with tank water, we are very happy with the efficiency of the machine and its water rating. The machine has an excellent choice of wash cycles, which are all very easy to use and understand. As mentioned above the… Read more

clothes seem to come out alot cleaner and are spun so much that the amount of line dry is reduced also! The only noise we hear is the spinning, but it is comparable with any other machine front or top loader, remember they are allowed to make noise!! I dont have a problem with it at all. This is my first front loader, and I used this site extensively to find this machine, after many late nights coming to my decision, as they are costly items that you have for a long time so you really need to be happy with them, I am really happy with my machine!! I would recommend it to anyone, especially larger families who are consious of water useage! Thanks to everyone else for leaving feedback so I could make my decision, much appreciated. A truly fantastic washing machine! I have the WAE24461AU, It has tons of different wash cycles to choose from, the myth that they all take hours to wash is just that!! I tend to use longer cycles for heavier soiled clothes etc, spins very well, and clothes really do seem to be washed better, and dont take as long to dry. The delay start makes things easier, you can do a load so its ready to hang out early in the morning! The amount of water we use is important to us as we are on tank water, and it seems to be great only using the right amount it needs to wash. I havent had any trouble with suds staying behind etc, as some people have. I have been using Biozet laundry powder which seems to be great with my new machine. Nothing yet!!! hopefully I dont have to add any comments on this one!

Excellent – Model-WAE24461AU - We bought this machine after replacing an absolute useless Fisher & Paykel Aquasmart top loader after only 5 weeks of use due to the roughness of the low agitator causing wrecked/pilled clothes, ripped towels and excess lint. We couldn't be happier with this model, it is so much more gentle on our clothes and there is NO lint. I… Read more

like the washing options, the extra rinse cycle, the time remaining display, the quick 15 min cycle, the easy care (everyday cycle - the one we use) which only takes 55 mins.I would highly recommend this machine. Gentle on clothes, quiet, great wash options, extra rinse option, choice of cycle times, water efficient, time remaining display
