Stunning look when new and clean but seriously a pain in the a.. when coming to keep it clean – We decided to give our kitchen a new look by changing appliances for new ones and decided to go black. The black cooktop from Bosch looks absolutely stunning when new and clean but it is literally a pain in the a.. to keep it clean after cooking. As it has a mirror-like finish, every single streak is visible after just frying an egg. If you cook… Read more
on a daily basis (as most people probably do) you soon discover that you spend endless hours keeping this cooktop clean. FACT: It's a great working and looking product but not practical in daily use. I miss our old stainless steel cooktop which was much easier to clean after cooking.
I love the whole "Black" appliance look! – I love the look of my four burner, black glass so classy and stylish! But, for some reason it is showing hairline scratches even though I clean it with a new cloth each time and only use water and buff dry! My utensils are plastic and thus am at a complete loss as I didn't think glass could scratch as easy as stainless steel! Show 2 replies
Unreliable after 12 months – After just 12 months of use, the spark function on my expensive gas cooktop has failed on all burners. This is the first thing to break down in my new kitchen and I am extremely disappointed. Not much info about on this problem, but google enquiries lead me to believe the parts could be $200+. Add to that a service fee and the necessity to remove… Read more
my oven to get the cooktop out of the benchtop, to which it is sealed, and I am back to using matches to light it. The black glass top looks great in my black stone benchtop The silver burners and blackburner tops get black staining(from the gas I think) and often need extra cleaning

Cook top nightmare care – We've had our gas cook top for 1 year now. and its gradually got stains of the black ring tops and stainless steel rims. very hard to keep clean. tried everything, oven cleaner, vinegar, bi-carb soda. it now looks about 20 years old, after only one year. I paid a lot of money for this and would have liked it to stay looking new for longer. … Read more
bosch has recommended I buy their stainless steel cleaner for $20, however I was instructed prior to purchase that hot soapy water would keep it clean

Looks so beautiful – I love our new cooktop. For the past couple of years we've had electric ones in rental homes, what a nightmare to look after, so finally pleased to be in my own house with my own cooker. A breeze to clean, as always cooking on gas is always easier (well, imo anyway! I find things heat faster, and of course turning it off means its actually off… Read more · 1
unlike an electric cooker where I burn things after Ive turned it off!) Looks beautiful in our black themed kitchen, 4 different size hobs so useful depending on the size of pots and pans that I use
Very easy to clean and looks great – I chose this cooktop as reviews for stainless steel cooktops mentioned they were difficult to clean. This one is very easy to wipe clean with just a microfibre cloth. My previous cooktop was ceramic electric, and not as easy to look after as this. I also fell in love with the look of this one, very stylish. Easy to clean and looks great
Love the glass cooktop – We chose the glass cook top over the stainless steel mainly because of the look of it. We wanted to get all our appliances for our new kitchen Bosch because of problems we have had with cheaper brands such as whirlpool. Certainly not the cheapest cook top on the market but it is a breeze to clean, looks great and works every time you turn it on!… Read more · 1
