I have purchased a new BOSCH Series 8 SMU88TS02A to install in our new kitchen. Within 2 months of using it I noticed rust spots appearing on the external door & panel. Now, 5 months in, I have many rust spots & am struggling with Bosch customer support as far as getting the problem fixed. They sent me a cleaning kit to use, which hasn't worked. Next step - they have agreed to send someone out to look at the problem and fix it if possible. There was a suggestion that the rust has appeared because of the rain/ humid conditions we have experienced !! I am not convinced of this as I also have other new appliances (not Bosch) that have stainless steel fronts (fridge / oven / microwave) & none of these have rusted in any way. The Dishwasher performs well functionally. This experience however has not been good. Has anyone else had the problem ?

Hi Athina, I have similar problem with Bosch dishwasher too, can you please let me know how did you go with your request? Seems like quality issues with Bosch. Thanks in advance
Hi Prad, Bosch came out and replaced the front panel & polished it with a specific cream product they have. Advising me that if the problem recurs, I should do same. It is a few months now & nothing has recurred. Will wait to see. If it does happen, I will ask for the product to be replaced or refund as that should NEVER happen (and hasn't to any of my other stainless steel appliances).
