This machine works well except that it is overly sensitive to an unbalanced load and then will not spin. If you have one or two woolen garments to put through it will refuse to spin them. Just finisges the cycle leaving them sopping wet. We have had service guys come out twice during th warranty period, but no joy. The problem remains. vibrations and the cloths come out so dry. Had issues connecting to phone but did not buy for that functions. i do find it funny that ill be a work and get a message stating washing is finished so i can text my wife to let her know as a joke. We loved our old bosch that lasted many years went for a slightly cheaper brand and never again. highly recommended. we bought the German made last time so went that way again. I looked at many reviews for this machine and thought i better write one as i was impressed. FYI i asked the delivery people about brands as they remove the old ones and said they recommend Bosch as the least of the brands they pick up.

Chemical smell – Installed our brand new machine and followed the manual instructions for “before use care”, which required a drum clean. On the first wash the smell coming from the machine was very strong. Smelt like burning plastic/chemical smell. When I opened the door, the inside also smelt. I then ran the hottest cycle several times. Still the smell was there.

Called Bosch. Was advised that this was normal and the smell would go after 3 days. So I waited and did more empty washes, then I washed some clothes. While I was drying them in the dryer the same chemical smell came out of them.

I called Bosch for the 2nd time. Was advised this was an adhesive used in manufacturing that will dissipate after 13 washes. Why would an adhesive be used that leaks into the drum and on to your clothes? Waited another couple of washes.

Called Bosch again. This time was told the smell was like “new car” smell and will go over time. Could not give me any answers on whether any chemicals/adhesives glues were getting into my clothes. Advised the only way to get an answer was to send a service technician. So more time spent without a working washing machine. Why Bosch are you not able to have technical support answer questions over the phone?

Disappointed that my new machine which was suppose to clean my clothes and had caused my clothes to smell. That I had to waste so much water and money on trying to flush my new machine and that Bosch customer service was not really able to offer any service other then to send a service technician, wasting both mine and their time and money on what is clearly a manufacturing issue!!

Awesome product – All range of clothing and other items for our household. Does exactly as it should, i-Dos is awesome, you can wind back it's automatic delivery amount and still manual dose if you choose. It's a quiet machine compared to other brands we have had and it's very stable in operation. Highly recommend this machine. Show details

Absolute bad customer service and issue with the product – Firstly machine is a problem from the 1st day it was setup. It was leaking water badly. Then i sent an email to Bosch and what i was told is "Thank you for the attachments and due to the increasing number of Covid cases and to ensure the health and safety of both yourself and our technicians we are currently only booking in essential services."… Read more

Now i got a $2000+ machine seating in my house doing nothing. The other worst part is tried to lodge a cashback redemption 2 hours before the end date and it could not go thru. Call the next day to discuss this and they have said i will not be getting my redemption just because the website had issue. Worst part i could not hold anyone when i had that problem since they only work till 5pm and the redemption is upto 1159pm. How is that makes any sense. 100% one of the worst customer service that i have experienced. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM BOSCH!

must use laundry services. I’m really regret to buy this one. Update: after nearly 1 month, Bosch decided to swap another one for me. I disappointed about Bosch customer service. The first time I had a problem with Bosch’s product. My issue now resolved. Machine is easy to use and run silently. The good thing is that you can stop machine and put more clothes. The app home connect is very convenient and useful too.

washing has finished should you be far away from being able to hear the appliances end of cycle tones, this is my personal favourite feature to prevent me leaving clean washing in the machine overnight. We purchased this new model mainly due to the machine being German made and the 10kg capacity, this also means fewer loads per day or week or the ability to wash a QS washable quilt. The 5 star energy and water ratings and IDOS detergent dosing are all bonuses to an already great washer. I have always purchased Bosch/Siemens washers and dryers over the years for our home and fully furnished investment property because they are so reliable and full of cutting edge technology. Really pleased with this machine, looks fantastic with it's new black and chrome trim and large read out display. Totally worth reading the manual to take advantage of the many functions such as Speed perfect which allows you to reduce the duration of some of your favourite washing cycles with the touch of a button.
