Bosch SMS69T12AU / SMS69T18AU / SMS69T28AU Questions & Answers
VerifiedHi I have rubbed off the all the operating instructions, on,off and the rest of them when cleaning is there anyway I can get a picture of these please regards leanne
I have an SMS69T18AU/73. Recently the touch panel has become almost unusable. The timer buttons seem to press themselves and if I try to press any of the buttons other options will select, it's like a rebellious teenager doing everything other than what you want to do. I can no longer set it for a delayed start. This has been happening on and off for the past 6 months at least but I can still get it to start at least. Just as of today now it gets most of the way through but then fails with a water supply fault. I've checked the supply which is fine, as is the filter in the tap connection. I realise that these are each very isolated issues, but I'm inclined to wonder if it's worth my while looking for a fix for each of these issues?

I opened a service ticket and had a tech investigate. Waste of money really as he told us the touch panels weren't in stock and in any case would be roughly $350, the water fault is a known one with this model and the seals are close to replacement. All up we'd basically be paying for a new dishwasher. That's the last time I request a service call on an appliance. They're all throwaway items. Pretty disappointing really.
Hi Travis, Please mail us at socialmedia.au@bshg.com, quoting BSH15470 in the subject line with your contact number. We’ll investigate for you. Regards, Bosch Home Australia.
Hi, I have a Bosch sms69T18AU which is working perfectly well, however I can no longer read the operation label and cannot use ? Can I get another label or diagram of operation label to sight off ?
Hi Andrew If you go to Harvey Norman or Good Guys, you could see the model there and take a photo.
done ! cheers.

Earlier this morning I asked a question about how to release my dishwasher from the ECO program. I eventually found the answer on Page 21 of the manual. To reset the machine it is not sufficient to hold the START button down until the 0.01 starts flashing. You have to actually run the unwanted program for the one minute and let it go through to completion. When next you turn the dishwasher on you can choose your preferred program again. Not very intuitive but at least it works. Kevin
We accidentally hit the ECO button and because it is now locked on, our dishes and cutlery never dry. We have tried to RESET by holding the START button down until the 0.01 flashes but this has not released the hold of the mad ECO setting. It's like something out of science fiction. Has anybody else had this problem and how can it be fixed? Kevin

Is there a service manual available for download? Dishwasher has stopped working but spare parts are available so I'm looking to order new parts and install them but would like a service manual to assist with this.
No i could not find one. Only a exploded diagram from BIG WAREHOUSE SPARES external link plus you tube and creative flair. Pretty easy in reality, just stare at it and think each step out. whats the problem?
Hi BPW, Thanks for your question regarding the Bosch dishwasher. We are unable to provide service manuals to customers and can only recommend a service call. If you need any more help, feel free to contact us on 1300 369 744. Regards, Bosch Home Australia
Hi, I've been using this model (SMS69T18AU) for 5 years, and very happy with its performance. Last night, I put it through its normal cycle and it beeped when it finished but the dishes were still dirty and the Finish Quantum Max Powerball was still intact (not melted) in the basket. I then reset the machine and started another cycle. But it did the exact same things. There is no any error code displaying, and water draining and cycling are all normal. The machine is simply not cleaning.
I checked the filters and no any blockage found. It seems to me the spraying arms do not spin anymore. Please help to identify the problem and possible solutions.
Thanks very much! Emma
How long between the start and when it stops. These need to be watched and yes it painful to help diagnose. So is it filling with water and when you opened it the first time it failed overnight did it have the filter sump empty or was there water filling the bottom pan? Look for a check water light if flashing?
Hi Fabian. It completes the full 2.5hr clean and counts down as per normal. The water is on during the cycle and is emptied out of the bottom pan at the end correctly. There is no check water light flashing. There would have been 8 hours between the two cycles. I started a third cycle and the water pumps into the machine and sits in the bottom as if it has dripped from the spraying arms. It empties throughout the cycle as per normal with now errors.
Thanks
Hi Adel, Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch SMS69T18AU. We would recommend checking the spray arms themselves for any blockages and even the connections to them on the back wall to see if there are any blockages. If there's nothing you can see, of if you clear things and there's no improvement a service call would be needed. If you need any more help or to book a service call, feel free to contact us on 1300 369 744. Regards, Bosch Home Australia

I have a couple of issues with my active water bosh, it doesn't leave the dishes completely dry and I am not sure how to clean it, the drainers on the bottom are quite smelly. Can you help me to solve this problem please?
The dishes gets mostly dry in my dishwasher, however, not all dishes are always super dry.. for e.g. the bottom of the cups might be wet, there might be water on top of the cup or bowls. Not sure about the smell, may be try some vinegar and baking soda in the prerinse area and do a 15 min prerinse. May be there are food scraps inside the drainers? Please refer manual on cleaning.
Yes, I still have both dirty and not always dry dishes coming out and have learnt to live with it until I can afford another dishwasher As for the smell - there is always a smell but ensure you wash out the bottom filter at least once a week. When you do you will notice that there is always water in the bottom and this is where the smell comes from I think. The filters get filthy pretty quickly even when you rinse the dishes
Sorry you are going through this but I have the same issues with the machine and Bosch were no help at all. Even under warranty, they come out but if they find nothing wrong with the machine or you haven't cleaned it properly or read the manual you are charged a large call out fee. No I didn't use that facility hence the smell still there - they are crooks. When the smell gets really bad run it on a full cycle at 65 and this helps for a while.
What does two dots on the console for the timer mean?

Like you, I did everything I could and followed instructions carefully. When I contacted Bosch to get a technician out, they told me that they would send someone out and if they found that I had not followed an instruction properly, even though the machine was under warranty, I would be charged for the visit. I am now putting it in the hands of the ombudsman as I have never had this treatment from any manufacturer and very poor for an $1800 machine that just does not perform. Just make sure that the black points are lined up in the filter area otherwise can't help. Yes dishes still come out unclean. Good luck
hey i had same problem, its a sensor in the bottom!! small hard to find water leak!!! must be fixed or it will burn out the motor. which happened to me.
This machine is driving me crazy. Had a repairer come fix and two months later another malfunction fault. I paid $1800 for this machine. I should have bought am ariston! Never buying bosch again. These machine faults have been going on for a year now. Will ask about the sensor on bottom. Sure it has an amazing clean but i seem to be washing the dishes by hand most of the time now!

Second World has currently advertised to sell brand new Bosch SMS69T28AU dishwasher at $1395. They do not have these dishwashers in stock and they say that the brand new dishwashers are arriving to the warehouse soon. Some of their retailers want sell the floor stock item at the same price. I am suspecting that the items they are getting will not be a brand new even though they are boxed as a brand new, they should be the repaired ones and then packed as a brand new ones, because this model is not available in any other stores. Some say this model has already been discontinued. I would like to know from Bosch if the items are really brand new, not the repaired ones, because I am thinking of buying this model?

Bought this dishwasher model SMS69T28AU from 2nds World for $1,395. Ordered on 27th Jan and delivered on 1st Feb. I believe it's perfectly brand new. It came with complete manufacturing seals & packaging. So far I'm happy with it. It has been working very well to clean and dry dishes, including plastic ones.
Hi! We have this model (SMS69T18AU) of dishwasher. The problem is that the rinse aid indicator light is coming on even after it has been filled up. This is a new problem as up until a couple days ago the light had always gone off after the rinse aid was filled up. I have tried to use the reset function with no success. If there are any suggestions I would like to try. Thanks in advance.

Hi Davidsco I'm sorry, I can't help. We scrapped the Bosch dishwasher after only 18 months from new as the cost of the parts needed to repair it were over $400. This was just for the parts, so a service technician was on top of that and assumed that no other parts were needed. No point sending good money after bad so it went in the dump-master.
Junk at Rolls-Royce price. Trading on their name.
