Bosch WFL2000

Good, and it's from Taiwan – 16 years old. Starting to get a bit noisy. Washed work and farm clothes using untreated tank water. Don't think my next one will last longer Show details ·  1

Replaced after 18 years of service – After 18 years of virtually problem free service, we've just replaced our Bosch MAXX Classic, or the WFL2000. I had to replace the carbon brushes twice in it's life time which was a relatively simple job, but otherwise it never missed a beat. spinning the drum correctly (powering up and down) and sounded like it was rubbing/grinding on something, and started to smell like electrically burning and tripped the earth leakage breaker twice in the house. I could have looked at repairing it again, but after 18 years it was time for an upgrade. Upgraded to a WAW28420AU. The WFL2000 was a great basic washer

Not up to expected standard. So disappointed with Bosch – Bosch is a name that I have always trusted. The machine is easy to use and of generally sturdy appearance but makes a terrible clanking noise when spinning up, bounces around and door seals very prone to mildew. very weak looking drum stabilisers. Very disappointing and will think twice about buying in future just on your brand name.

Absolute rubbish – I bought the Bosch washer and dryer stacker set. It cost over $2000 and I expected 10 years at least. I have had 5 years and I am annoyed. The dryer plastic cracked, it never dried clothes well worst drier I have ever had. The belt broke any service fees are extortionist and was told wear and tear wasnt covered by extended warrantee. machine the powder drawer broke early on there was mold spots which wouldnt come off on the interior door. Now its had it. It totally wont take in water. I swapped inlet valve tried resetting nothing this happened after it developed a leak recently. I have had enough the most expensive pieces of junk I have ever wasted my money on. Totally disappointing waste of money.

Reliable work horse but noisy – This machine lasted approx 8 years with an average of around 1wash per day. We only had to replace the brushes once, hence a reliable work horse. Looked at Asko but too expensive. I can buy 2 bosch or LG for the same price and in 5 to 8 years technology will have improved so next machine will be LG direct drive for peace and quite ( I hope) Simple controls, reasonable wh Very noisy, walked around laundry . Could not add items after start.

No problems with my Bosch! – I've had this washing machine since 2006 now and haven't had any issues with it. On average, I do the washing once per week. A little bit noisy but has worked for me over these last years. I would buy Bosch again. I really liked the ease of use of the washing machine. Easy to use functions

Bad – We thought we couldn't go wrong with a Bosch. They have a good history & reputation. It did wash well & was gentle on the clothes. It was really loud on the spin cycle, (our new LG Direct Drive spins even faster, yet is at least half as quiet) The pump was also very noisy. (family of 4), so we are very disappointed that it didn't even last 4 years. Luckily we had en extended warranty & we took the cash option to go towards the new LG.

Based on our experience, & after finding out they are one of the more expensive for parts, I would not buy Bosch again. Washes well. Reasonably priced. Motor died after 3 years 7 months! Expensive to fix ($600 for the motor). Not as many wash options as some other machines. EXTREMELY LOUD !

Bosch the bomb – I decided to purchase this machine thinking bosch stood for pure quality. Well I was wrong... The machine was very noisey , shaking and vibrations of the machine were appaulling. members it sounded like a airiplanes turbo jet motor. The quality of the wash was not as good as I expected,even after pre-treating stains the machine was not able to wash them out, and I mean light stains not heavy soiling. Water started to leak from the glass door seal. I had this machine for 5 years and did one to two loads a day and would have expected to get 8-10 years from this product as it was a very costly purchase at that time. The rubber seal gathers mould and mildew and slime if it is not cleaned and completly dried after each wash.I am contacting Bosch and advising them of the terrible ordeal and will further investigate the implied statuary warranty via office of fair trading/consumer affairs and negotiate either a repair or full refund preferabally towards a new machine. STAY AWAY..Also many of the cheaper lower end Bosch models can be found to be made in Turkey and other easter countries not Germany as it wishes you to believe, I was told this information from a sales representative, so always ask if its made in Germany if you really want to purchase this machine but personally dont waste your time they are grief from day one and it only gets worth with more and more problems arising.STAY AWAY FROM BOSCH. I have juist purchased the latest model Miele waiting for it to be delivered, and will up load a comment once I have run my new machine for a coulpe of months..
