Brando Shoes

I have 2 pair of Brando boots. I wear 1 for work, and 1 pair casually. Both are over 5 years old. Both are exceptional quality, and very comfortable. Both show minimal signs of wear (I polish them when needed). Wouldn't buy any other brand except Aquila - which are also very good quality. Bottom line -You get what you pay for.

Great shoes – What makes Brando special is not only the style and the quality of their footwear, but also the fact that they have the most extensive catalogue of Italian-made footwear in Australia. Since some of the great Italian brands, such as Corvari and Doucal's, are not present on the Australian market, Brando cleverly outsources their production to Italian shoemakers, including Corvari. Calibre does this as well with Doucal's, but their choice is very limited in comparison. Aquila has more on offer, but the price tag is too high and I am not really that impressed with their shoes, personally. I own 8 pairs of Brando footwear, my favourites being Sandro and Alvaro brogues and Huff boots. I also bought 4 pairs as gifts for others. Regarding the quality, I find it to be pretty good with Goodyear welted construction, good quality leathers such as vegtan (or kangaroo like Alvaro) and the overall workmanship. The styles are plentiful, ranging from standard formal derbys and oxfords, plain or brogued, to sneakers, boots, loafers and sandals. They could get more creative with their sneakers, boots and loafers, though. Corvari and Reiss do sneakers really well with their Italian-made range, whereas Doucal's is unparalleled when it comes to boots and loafers - one pair of Doucal's loafers was a hybrid of espadrille, loafer and double monk strap. Customer service-wise, I find it easier to purchase via Iconic - lot quicker to return if need be. And I have returned a few, mainly because sizing can vary by a lot. I think it would be great for Brando to have physical stores in major cities. All in all, everytime I think I have completed my shoe collection, Brando comes up with something I just have to buy, and I am happy with the purchase.
