Unreal. Yep. I just said that about an iron! – I was told by my brother. I “needed” a steam generator iron. As a professional, I was sick of using my EXPENSIVE top model sunbeam standard steam iron. Constantly refilling it, constantly dealing with the chord twisting, I also was sick of ironing through a damp tea towel to iron my synthetic black pants. I was also sick not having enough steam to do the tricky corners of business shirts. I was also sick of it dripping water also over my shirts when the iron was close to full or I pressed the steam button one too many times.

Well look no more. I browsed every video, read every review, walked through many shops and was left dazed by the sheer number of steam generator irons to pick. I had to commit to something.

I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. It warms up in 2 minutes. It truly is ergonomic to use and the chord lengths are all appropriate.

Maintenance is straight forward. And I estimate you could do 30-40 business shirts before needing to refill the container.

This definitely feels like a top shelf item. And although it’s only a few months old, I don’t see why it won’t last.

What is particularly nice, is the weight of the iron itself is quite light. This makes large ironing sessions much more bearable. You can also go backward over buttons, not that I find myself doing so.

On the handle has various steam modes to cycle through (volume of steam) - basically this is to select how long you need the steam to run in a single continuous shot. I find the standard settings more than adequate! But if you are super fast or tackling a tricky synthetic then this is for you.

I would say ironing time is reduced about 30+%. I would also say the quality of the ironing job is 30-40% better as the steam penetrates the corners you didn’t actually touch with the hot plate.

I would recommend using distilled water or at a minimum filtered water - as with any steam, if your water is rich in calcium I suspect this could affect the life of the product or at a minimum require the filter to be maintained more regularly!

I also like being able to place the hot iron back on the device, and lock it in. This is particularly good since I have 2 young kids running around. I was always worried about them pulling my normal iron down onto themselves. Not an issue with this.

Also consider where you will place the device. My laundry has a bench and PowerPoint abeam my wall mounted ironing station. So it works well together.

10/10 recommended if your looking to upgrade to the best of the best.

The perfect answer to endless steam for ironing – So happy with this product. The steam is so endless. It easily irons heavy denim with steam always on mode or my light silk style dresses u can even do with vertical steam. The picture ice attached shows just how much steam can pump out of this product. The handle is easy to hold and perfect when i iron lots of clothes. The iron itself is light and you don’t have to keep refilling the water tank as it lasts a full load of washing for me. Ive gad Braun irons before but the new way to change the settings on the handle makes life even easier. Best iron/steam station ive ever used it wa definitely worth buying up to a steam station. Only takes a few minutes to heat up and be ready too. Now im off to iron more it really is so much more enjoyable with this Braun one.
