5 years now and still hands down the best iron system I've ever used. Takes a little while to start up (3 mins), as it needs to boil the water like a kettle. But once its ready, all of its systems activate, and you can just keep on going! but also makes it a little fun. Just pop on the garment, watch it start floating from the air underneath, feel the intense power of the steam which just doesn't stop, and work as fast as you want. Its time to replace the ironing board cover and get a new set of filters, not the cheapest, but at least I don't need to replace the whole unit as its still running like new. Worth every $$.

I've now just bought a second unit for my parents. My mother loves it, she says its so much easier for her to iron and less stress on her shoulders. The only complaint she has was the ironing board's lowest height setting isn't low enough, but its still far better than anything else she has used.

was keen to check it out. I arrived just after the store closed (which was my error for not checking hours) but thankfully they let me in and I was given a demo (as always, impressive) and I was able to ask all the relevant questions about caring for the new purchase because if too complicated, I was not going to bother. I also got to practice setting up and packing away - again, if too complicated I was not going to bother, but both were simple once you got the right instructions and could practice. I was sold, took it home, unpacked it and set up immediately (after reading the instruction book carefully - I'm nerdy like that). I could have checked my emails and seen the instructions and links to videos in that which might have been easier, but I started to use the iron without any hassles and fell in love! After a month of using the Laurastart SMART I I am absolutely loving it! Ironing is even easier and it does exactly what it says it will do! This is my third Laurastar after a number of years trying less expensive models that seemed to fail after 12 months and I couldn't get the results I wanted. I have always found the team and their service at Laurastar to be really good. Their follow up communications for this purchase are clear and they emphasised they are on hand to help with any issues or concerns. I know that if I look after my product as per the instructions, it will probably last me a very long time like my previous one.

Almost as good as my previous LauraStar – I have been using the Laurastar ironing system for many years now, and traded in my old system for a new one, so clearly I am a fan. I miss the constant steam button. Otherwise it works as well as my old Laurastar used to before it deteriorated with age (15+ years). The docking and release for storing the iron is not as functional as my old Laurastar, and I have to tug quite hard to release the iron. Show details ·  1

Makes ironing a breeze! – I love the way I can switch from cotton to synthetic fabrics without having to change anything on the iron. All fabrics iron up really well and I find using the “shoe” on dark fabrics, particularly linen, prevents any shiny marks. Show details ·  1

My 3rd Laura Star iron. Just keep getting better – My 3rd Laura star iron. Each one improves. Didn't think it could improve much on my last one but, yes, it has. I love the way the fan starts as soon a you move the iron & continues that little bit longer. A bit sceptical about the lack of heat control but then realised that I never really altered the heat on the last iron, except by accident. A beautiful ironing system again. Show details ·  1

I should have purchased it 20 years ago! – Works well with all fabric types. Very gentle with clothing and the more you use it, the easier & quicker it is. Steaming works a treat, especially with the aid of the blower/suction ironing board. Show details ·  1

The Chore has Gone ! – Quite simply, the chore has gone our of ironing. It's fast, efficient delivering a perfect job every time.
