As a woman that irons absolutely everything I love the Laurastar lift. If cuts my ironing time in half and the quality of performance is second to none. Truly cannot live without it. The only downside to it is when it’s getting serviced I have to use a conventional iron. :( Show details ·  1

Great for fast and lots of ironing – It’s been great using this iron. However, I don’t really think that the lift on the iron does much, in fact, I’ve found it easier to put on the teflon cover to have a smooth surface for ironing. I think it’s a great device if you need to iron a lot and fast. Then it’s definitely worth the money. Show reply

Incredible Iron & Service – I took my Laurastar iron in for a service as I was having problems with the water light showing low water with a full tank. I was treated with the utmost respect, my story was heard and immediately told that their service person would look at it. Within 3 days, I was contacted to say it was ready. fitting a new filter) but the service person had thoroughly inspected the appliance and fitted a new plug ring and tank as my hinge lugs had broken some time ago and I had not replaced it. Incredible service and there were no raised eyebrows at me! Love my Laurastar iron (wouldn't buy any other brand) & the wonderful afterservice. Each time I go in to the Blackburn office for filters, I am warmly welcomed and nothing is too much for them. Thank you

Its delightful – Ironing is fun again with the Laurastar. smashes through all creases with ease first time. - Don't underestimate the importance of a good ironing board. I had a decent one but the underlay had deteriorated over the years. I replaced the underlay and have had great results since.

After discovering black mould in our AC unit (long story short- we had been getting sick constantly in the rental in the past year), I used the laurastar to sanitise EVERYTHING in our place - pillows, cushions, plush toys, couch, mattress and doonas. Everything smells very clean and sanitised and I couldn't be more impressed with this unit. One of the doonas that even has a lingering scent post washing has no smell anymore after sanitising it. I also have the Laurastar Cart which is a godsend too.

The staff at Head office were super helpful and their webpage and social media have lots of handy info.

Best iron ever – For years I have been wanting to purchase one of these irons and finally took the plunge and it is the best decision I’ve ever made. So happy with the upgrade!! – I have found that I don’t need to use a sole plate. It is amazing at pushing the fabric apart. Just a breeze. Also I like they I have a unit which isn’t built into the ironing board. I can take it with me where needed and it doubles as a steamer for clothes that are already on a hanger. Just buy it! – I waited for two weeks (two ironing days, Sundays) of using this iron before posting a review. I purchased the Lift Xtra which has the Pulse Steam function and the 3D soleplate. The steam really is different compared to the other iron. This steam is so dry (sounds funny, I know, but it really is) and doesn't leave the clothes wet after, and also with the Pulse Steam, you use even less steam/water. I found I use the pulse for everything except heavy bed linens, which I iron a few layers at a time so they need a bit more steam.

I thought the 3D soleplate would be a bit of a gimmick, and wouldn't really do anything. However, the 3D soleplate truly smoothes out the fabric as you iron, saving so much time that I would normally spend adjusting the fabric to be totally flat and smooth prior to ironing lest I iron in unwanted creases.

The result is incredibly smooth and dry fabric, incredibly quickly. I can only imagine the results had I bought the complete system including the ironing board with the fan, but it was too expensive for me. If you are thinking about a LauraStar, and you can afford it - just buy it. I would recommend getting a model with the pulse steam and 3D, it really made such a difference. I don't know how you could possibly regret it.

Oh and, the staff are lovely. I purchased directly from the website after speaking to a staff member over the phone. Helpful, efficient, and they even sent me an email with videos on how to use and set up the product before it arrived.
