iron all types of garment without damaging the material. There is a Teflon "shoe" for delicate items, and the way that I used to iron changed, but much so for the better. I vertically steamed my partners woollen work jacket, and straightened some wrinkles on the bed sheets. The double heating system is at the heart of the Laurastar station, explaining the higher price for the technology. The station takes a filter cartridge to extend the life of the sole plate, and keeps the iron clean. I purchased the Comfort board bundle, to sit the iron at the same height as the board. There is much more to say, but that is best left to your visit to the showroom.

The most fun one can have ironing – We loved our previous Laura Star. Unfortunately it broke and was uneconomical to repair. I can definitely say that it's better than the previous one we owned with its built-in water filtration system. The base plate glides over standard business attire, one pass and wrinkles are removed. We aren't sure how they did it, but we seem to be cutting through our ironing pile even faster than we did with the previous model. We've also used the iron to steam a silk shirt whilst it was hanging - the results were perfect, the wrinkles just vanished out of the fabric.

The Laura Star is by far the best iron I have ever had. In my opinion, for the price, it is an extravagance if you don't have a large ironing footprint in your home (i.e. if perhaps all you have to iron each week is a few business shirts). However, it's fast, the results are perfect - definitely the crispest results, and it is fun to use.

Downsides, it's a fairly large unit - and won't fit on a standard sized shelf inside your laundry. We've had to store ours in the wardrobe on the floor, underneath our hanging clothes.

Laurastar Lift+ a lemon, not the Mercedes Benz of steam irons they claim it to be – I bought a Laurastar Lift+ because of the high-end "designed i Switzerland, made in the EU" claim to fame ... meant to be the BMW or Mercedes Benz of steam irons. Sadly, within six weeks it started to trip the electric circuit at my home. It was replaced by the seller with another brand new unit. Once again, within 6 weeks it too started tripping… Read more

the electric circuit. In each occasion, I treated the unit as gentle as one can. Called Laurastar directly to find out if they had a bad batch.... because I am keen to get a unit that works. Instead, they tried to upsell me to the ironing system that costs $2,000-plus. Very sad experience. A customer that really wants to believe the top-end design and Swiss quality hype is left stranded. Will now get my money back and buy a "normal" steam iron for half or a third of the price paid for that BMW steam iron that failed!!!

What is more disappointing is finding out many entries here referring to the same electric fault.

Great after sales service – I love my Laura Star iron but mostly it’s the after sales service with Jason, he is so helpful and lovely to talk to. He is the reason I always recommend my iron to others. There is nothing more frustrating when you spend this amount on an iron and then the service is below stranded but Jason is a real asset to your company. Show 3 replies

whole thing going! Forget a quick ironing of a shirt, polo or sweater. You at least need 15 minutes to make the machine ready for use. First you gonna need help to get the whole machine up and going! I hardly can do it by myself! I feel very sorry for the money I spend fir this Laurastar Smart! Gonna sell it and replace it by my oldfashioned ironing board and iron asap! Those were the days!

Fairly good but with reservations – It is good with all clothes - irons beautifully The steaming capacity is very good. Negatively: The cord gets very hot where it joins the iron The boiler noise is extremely annoying - it is constant - it never stops and is very loud. Show details

Use 1 min and report issues – I did everything according to the instruction and after 2 min of using the steam, the equipment reports low water level, despite the water tank is 9/10 full. The product did look beautiful, but what's the point if you cannot use it?

Such easy ironing – I upgraded after 21 years. This new Laurastar has not disappointed. I can use it from the most delicate fabrics to heavy work clothes with stubborn creases. It handles everything with ease. Ironing is so easy with Laurastar. Show details ·  1

Laurastar Lift – After 14 years of use with a previous model I traded it on the lift model. Extremely pleased with the ironing/steaming results and pleased I can now fill the tank with tap water. Very convenient handle on this model. I highly recommend this model. Show details ·  3

Laurastar... You've done it again! – Following the recent purchase of a new Laurastar Lift, which I've only had for a few weeks, it meets all my expectations of a new model introduced by the company. I'm pleased to report that the Lift irons great on all fabrics. One question.... When the tank begins to reduce water, it makes a sound that seems that it could be a fault, but the manual explains that this is normal. Could you confirm please? Show details ·  1

Update to replace tired system – Whole process was great. I traded in my previous Laurastar lift as it was quite old and was not working properly. Given a great trade in and purchased a new Laurastar Lift. Great simple ironing system to use that does the job perfectly. Could not go backwards to traditional irons, so simply updating was the way to go. Our clothes always look fresh… Read more ·  1

Best iron I have ever used – Light and easy to use and is a very compact appliance which makes it easy to store. Very easy to top up the water when required. Excellent - well worth the price – We bought the lift after our 12 year old S4 died. The power from the lift is as good if not better than the S4. In addition to normal clothes, I use it to iron cancan karate uniforms. It irons these with ease. It is compact and easy to move around. using a far superior product. The Laurastar has lived up to my expectations. It is very easy to use and maintain. In fact, the rocket-like steam jets make ironing a dream (Note: I usually hate ironing). My ironing is completed in half the time and to a much higher quality than any other iron out on the market. It treats all my fabrics well (think delicates & regular clothes) and removes creases that no other iron could (think denim or heavily crushed cotton). I don't find ironing a chore anymore and I highly recommend this product.

Laurastar lift 501 red – I have always used a laurastar for many years and have had the model G1 which I have always luved but the newer model lift red 501 is lighter to use and find even better which makes it easier to enjoy ironing every day Show details ·  1
