Superb – It's fast, produces sharp lines and nails my shirts. Couldn't care less about the cord length. Oh and it looks a million bucks too

Braun texstyle 3 iron – Purchased this on January 6th this year. It tripped the safety switch at the beginning twice. That should have been a red flag. It seemed fine until today and tripped all the safety switches a few times. The auto on off switch is very loud. It was designed in Germany but made elsewhere. The best iron ever – Throw away your old iron for one of these. It is easy to use and provides a perfect finish. To use, you simply iron away and press the steam button as you go. Hint - have a spray water bottle handy as the iron doesn't come with a spray water nozzle. You'll need it if you accidentally iron in a wrinkle. to dry properly before packing them away, as the steam will leave them a little damp. It's a super light iron and I love that you don't need to be frequently refilling the water tank, as you do with a regular iron. Oh and get the ironing board that goes with it as it works better with that.

Excellent iron – We previously had a TexStyle 7, which we were very pleased with until it died, and worried that its cheaper sibling would not be as good. But it is excellent. creases when going back and forth. The settings are simple (for different fabric types etc) and it even has the ability to steam vertical hanging items. It's a no nonsense, good looking appliance. Only possible criticisms would be that the cord could be longer (but thats a common gripe with irons) and that the water reservoir may need multiple fills during long ironing sessions. I quite like the base plates design with steam holes positioned at the tips to help get into harder to reach locations when ironing. No signs of leaking or excess moisture as it has an auto shutoff feature when the temperature is too low to produce steam, anyway - I have no fears for reliability being a Braun product and using them often in the past. Would highly recommend as with these features, not much separates it from the higher end products on most manufacturers product lineups.
