Not very consistent or reliable readings – The temperature reading fluctuates a lot depending how the product is used, for example ,if my wife uses the product to measure our baby boys temp it reads 37,2 but of I take the temp 10 sec later it reads 38,5 and even had a 40.2 reading moments later.... Show details

Inaccurate reading – Kindly I want my money back! As I am not satisfied with this product. It gives inaccurate reading.I have used it 6 - 7 months approximately and went to my children specialist for it's reading but it was inaccurate. It really felt confusing and irritating. I'm in Saudi Arabia. I bought it from Centerpoint.

Doesn't stop beeping – Bought IRT3020 18months back online on eBay. Had to replace battery yesterday, since then doesn't stop beeping. Spoke to Daisy from Customer care but she doesn't show any interest to help or trouble shoot the problem. Advised to contact eBay for customer service. Very inappropriate response from Braun official. Hoping not to loose trust on this brand.

No Good – After getting very low readings (while having glandular fever), I took my Braun with me to the doctor. He took my temperature with my Braun and with his thermometer a few times, and the Braun was under reading 2 degrees! Thats way out. No wonder I was feeling so bad, but had no fever...

Bad – I usually like to use this thermometre in addition with a forhead thermometre strip. I would probably not buy this sort again. I like the Braun Thermoscan as it is quick and you can get the child to sit there for just long enough to beep. You are supposed to take the childs temperature three times in a row at one time to get an average… Read more

temperature. I find that the results can be up to 1.5 degrees out which to me proves that it is not very accurate. I can not tell whether my child has a temperature or not.

Doesn't last long – We bought this eighteen months ago when our son was a few months old because he found the cheaper digital thermometers annoying to use. The thermometer does seen to work, but all three readings can be quite different so you don't really know exactly which temperature your child is. After eighteen months the button started sticking and it is… Read more

making night time readings difficult so we've decided to look at a replacement. I won't be buying another thermometer of this type again. I'm not convinced it's a good product to use with babies and small children when they're sick. Relatively quick to give a reading compared to other brands Playing up after only year and a half, probe covers can be hard to get.

Can someone tell me how to change my thermometer from farenheit to celsius please?

OK – I have had this item for almost 2.5 years. The issue that is a little frustrating is the accuracy, my GP asked me to go out and buy a manual thermometer as these aren't accurate enough to use on little kids (Im not sure at what age it is ok. Apart from that buying replacement covers is a bit of a pain but no big deal. I like that the product is… Read more

easy to use (so much easier to use on a wriggly baby/toddler than the manual type). I also like that when the unit turns off when you turn it on again you can get the last temperature taken which is handy if you have a memory like mine. All in all its a good product the whole accuracy on children thing is a bit annoying. Easy to use - Memory Recall - Brand Accuracy - Cost of Replacement Covers

Good – Have had this for about 15 years now and only now it has started palying up. The temp is not quite accurate like it was before even after replacing batteries. The cost of probe covers is expensive but i just clean if for the same person otherwise will use a new one. Overall it has been quite good but may need to upgrade and purchase a new one. Easy to use sometimes the readings are about 2 - 3 degrees out. Ongoing expense of probe covers.

Good – Great Thermometer. Bought it because its used by doctors and we get a cute bear toy for our baby. The design is compact and the display is big and clear. No need to squint at those old mercury thermometers. Would be nice if they had the temperature range for different ages on the device itself or on the back of the box or sticker, as it is we need… Read more

to open up the manual and find the page. But great overall Quick easy to use, beeps to let u know the temperature has been read. Compact design. Comprehensive manual. A little hard to use at first especially on a newborn

Excellent – Consistently reads a bit higher than a traditional thermometer but once you are aware of it, it isn't an issue. Very easy to use and saves on the waiting for a normal thermometer to settle. Can take several readings one after the other in a very short space of time. Easy to use. Quick measurement. Battery seems to last forever. Easy to read.

Bad – I have found this product difficult to position and therefore unreliable for detecting fevers. I have recorded 5 different readings, with each taken one after the other. My child complains that it hurts when I try to position it as described with the 'ear tug'. The probe covers are an ongoing cost. I would not recommend this product. Retains… Read more
