Bottom seal weakness – Decent blender when new, but within a year the seal inside the blade mechanisms wears, allowing a fair bit of free play of the blade assembly up and down and also leaking. Bought a second one on sale as it was cheaper than a replacement part, but had the same problem after a year. Impossible to then pull the blade assembly apart, as the… Read more

stainless bolts had seized, resulting in me breaking the nut off on both units. A reall shame that poor design in the seal area let down the whole thing. Unfortunately, not to mention the expense, had to put our two units in the recycle bin and look for something different.

Blender May Be Unsafe – The blender initially worked very well. We used it infrequently, maybe once or twice a fortnight, to make smoothies with bananas & berries. However, recently it started to leak and then a fragment of metal (photos below) appeared in the smoothie! Needless to say, we stopped using the blender. The incident has been reported to Breville Australia. … Read more

I love it except... It leaks! – I've owned this for just one year and three weeks and within the last month the blade attachment has started leaking. At first the leak was very small and annoying. Now I can't use it without liquid leaking everywhere all over the base when I use it. Prior to this it blended really nicely and made veg smoothies and protein shakes smooth and… Read more

creamy. But this fault (which is seemingly known to Breville and they won't fix it) means it a terrible product!

I got bought a stainless steel milling / grinding container as well, but the plastic on that (where it connects to the blade base) has cracked! So if you put any liquid in this too (or ice) it also ads another place to leak!

If you're still interested, it requires grip strength to use (not a problem for me) because you need to twist the whole jar on the base to turn it on. You'll also find that it can be a bit difficult to get the blade attachment off the jar after use. The blade attachment is a bid fiddly to clean because whatever you blend gets all through the threads. As much as the blade attachment is dishwasher safe, because the design has no drainage when upside down, the underside of the blade attachment just fills up with dirty dishwasher water. Best handwashed.

Makes good dips though.

Based on the cost, i would have expected much better longevity from this.

It is one of the better to go blenders out there – Breville Boss to Go Plus BPB620 – review It is one of the better to go blenders out there I paid $149 at Retravision positives metal gears tritan cups wide mouth opening on the to go lid The twist on blade and lids instead of screw on well designed blade system overall good quality build and finish negatives needs a 1 to 1.3 … Read more

liter cup (meet in the middle 1.2 liters would be good)

a little noisy (to be expected with most blenders)

more power scotty

the rpms are a little disappointing

I emailed breville, below are the rpms they emailed me

would have been nice to see the rpms around 35,000 or more

Setting.................................................Speed (RPM)

ON, free load.......................................20500-22500

ON, 650mL water using Large cup.....10750 – 12000

I would recommend this to go blender

there are cheaper options like the

NutriBullet Pro 900W 5-Piece - $77

with plenty of spares on ebay

I would be happy if breville made a bigger cup 1.2liter

and also it had more power for faster rpm`s

it would be close to the perfect to go blender then.

Update 27-sep-2018

I have returned my to go blender for a full refund

the cup is too small, a larger cup option would be good - 1200mil

and it is lacking power, not enough rpm`s

Can't imagine life without it! – I did extensive research on buying a personal blender and the Breville, came in trumps especially for the price which came in at $149. Main drivers for me were.. 1. Metal gearing, (Bullets and Ninja's use plastic gearing) these things spin at very high revolutions, so it was important to me the motor and gearing had longevity in mind. 2. Build… Read more

quality & design - the cups are of excellent quality. This and sturdy with sip-enable edges. Smart cable tidy under the device, spill design features, and also safety features are excellent E.g. the blade wont spin unless there is a cup attached to it. 3. Price. Based on 1 and 2, it blew the Bullets and NInja's out of the water. The other closest to the Breville's quality is the Vitamix S30 but comes in at $400-500. 4. The blend quality is excellent, although not necessarily the best. It's important you do run it for 60sec. Sometimes I run the device for only 20-30sec because I use it early in the morning, and the additional 40sec makes a massive difference.

It now gets daily use and we feel better and healthier as a result. Don't hesitate - get this guy ASAP.

Not quite 5 stars but comes close! – I purchased this (the brushed stainless steel model) from Myer several months ago after recommendation from one of the Sales Assistants who apparently owns one also. I have used it literally daily since then and have for the most part been very pleased with it. Pros: as a blender, it definitely does the job! Whether using it to whip up a… Read more

protein-powder fruit smoothie or a combo jumbo juice, the ‘Boss’ really does a fabulous job of liquifying all the ingredients I add! The brushed stainless steel is easy to keep clean and the tumblers that come with it are really solid and wash up nicely also. I ended up purchasing a couple more of the tumblers recently from Myer just to ensure I always have a clean one on hand!

Price wise I’m not sure I would pay RRP $299.95 but definitely worth the investment when buying during home appliance promo/discount periods!

Cons: to blend, you screw the black ‘lid’ with the blades onto your tumbler and then turn it upside down, place it one the motor and twist to liquify. This ‘twisting’ to start and stop the blending - and then when you’re finished, removing the lid/blades from the tumbler - isn’t easy on the wrist. I personally struggle with the effort required sometimes as I don’t have great strength in my hands and I do wonder how someone with wrist pain or arthritic concerns (like my own Mum) would go using this.

Also, worth noting that my lid started to leak through the blade pin - nothing to do with the tumbler being over-filled or not being sealed correctly when the blades lid was attached to the tumbler - and when I contacted Breville directly to discuss I spoke to a lovely guy who said he would send me out a replacement lid straight away and I received it within 3 days from that call. Great customer service!

Great for everyday use – Purchased approximately 9 months ago from Myer. We use this multiple times throughout the day and so far the only issue is at times the blade attachment (base) tightens to the cup when blending and takes some force to undo. Only used once with ice as it sounded like the motor was about to blow. Love that it’s a simple twist to turn on and off. Easy to clean with no rubber parts to accumulate grime Show details

Great blender that I use every day! – We bought this about a year ago and we’re a bit worried after reading a couple of the reviews. But we pretty much have used it every morning to make smoothies and it hasn’t missed a beat. A couple of times have had a hard time getting the lid open but otherwise no problems (touch wood) Love it. Show details

Works well – The blender manages to get everything really fine in a short time. This sounds like it is easy, but you actually can tell the difference in taste. It can handle ice and other frozen items, provided there is enough liquid. Show details

bad design – Blade attachment got stuck with spice jar and couldn't open it since then. can't use rest of the machine now since do not have blades. Apparently, few other people had similar issue with this machine. Contacted Breville but no response so seems like they don't care once the product is sold. This is my second bad experience with breville.  Show details

Great blender but hearing protection needed!! – The blender does the task well in creating smoothies and blending. But, at 101 decibels beside the motor and 97 decibels where your ears are whilst using the machine, 1/2 a meter from the motor, Hearing protection is a must, or run the risk at damaging your hearing. The volume the machine runs at isn’t a good thing for the kitchen. A Sound decibel… Read more

Newish blender, but leaking! – Hi, We bought our Blender just over a year ago from Westfield Miranda, when my son was home sick with Glandular Fever - that's how I remember the date! Buyer beware – Received this blender as a gift last Christmas and now it is faulty. That's right, less than 2 months old. I have noted that other reviewers have had the same problem where you could not turn the blade base/container past the alignment arrows to start the motor. When it worked it did a good job but becoming faulty within such a short time is unacceptable. I am very disappointed in this product. Show details

Even better than expected! – This blender makes amazing smoothies and handles ice with ease. Even works well for grinding spices. We use all the time to make "healthy" icecream by blending frozen banana and fruit. Only negative is it is quite loud, but since it is really efficient this isn't really an issue. Quick and easy clean up also.  Show details

So good, I would never use anything else – Easy to use and clean, very powerful. Much better than other similar products in the market. Use it everyday, extremely durable, effective and fast. BPA free. The smaller blender is so good, and can do a lot when you live in an indian household, can blend your own masalas.  Show details

Fabulous – Bought this blender 3 months ago in UK. Works great. Make sure you don’t overfill it (ie only go up to max line) and never for more than 60 sec at a time and it works perfectly and there is no problem unscrewing cup. Astonished at how well it blends whole flax seeds when in smoothies! awesome.  Show details

Was good to start and then – Blends fantastically and loved it for the first 10 months, until the containers (or the blending screw on top) stopped fitting. None of the cups fit on the screw on lid which has now made the whole machine totally useless. All customer service could recommend is buying new cups WHICH I HAD ALREADY DONE! what a waste of money. Would not recommend.  Show details

A Disaster – I used my Breville Boss to Go about 4 times and have not been able to use it since. The base does not click in sufficiently to engage the motor. I took it back to the store where they would do nothing. I wasn't aware of the warranty and now it has been sitting on my counter for 2 years. What can I do?  Show details

Great, until – Like, it seems, many others (wish I'd checked beforehand) my Boss is not even two months old and the blade base started cracking and pieces falling off, making it unusable :( It's not even had heavy use, at most 1 easy shake per day. Hopefully this is, at least, covered by warranty.  Show details

Make Smooth Juice – Use it mainly for fruit and veg, I haven't tried the grinder. Juice and smoothies are smooth, no solids. My wife use it for extracting the green from spinach for food coloring. Operation is easy and safe, cleaning is too because all cups are dishwasher safe. It is solid built making it quite heavy (and expensive). Still smaller than boxy juicer it replaced.  Show details

Best friend in my kitchen – Best nutrition blender ever. Plus an all rounder in my kitchen.
