Quality product well made! – I love this Grinder, it is very powerful & i have used it regularly for over a decade now with no problems. Use mine for spices only and find it grinds to a very fine powder, very happy with the results. I have a feeling i will get yet another decade from this quality model. Show details

works good for me – i'm surprised this grinder has gotten so many bad reviews. i had a sunbeam grinder before this one and that was really crap. i no longer touch any sunbeam products. but that's another story. this breville grinder by comparison works fine for me. i've had it for about five and a half years and it's still going strong. i grind coffee, rolled… Read more
oats (to make oat flour) and all my spices. i've never had any issue with it at all. in fact, i like it so much that i bought another one from a flea market as a back up. anyways, i see it's discontinued now.
Long lived and user friendly – We have used this for 9 years, I think. It hasn't been temperamental, and it grinds well. We use it for grinding coffee for a plunger, so we do not require it to be very fine as for an electric machine. We have used it on occasion for grinding spices, but it's hard to clean the bowl out well enough not to flavour your coffee with cumin next time… Read more
round! Ours hasn't overheated or made strange sounds. No cracks in base or lid. Ours broke when our 6 year old played with it and snapped off the slim plastic depressor in the lid. I can't find a replacement! Boo hoo. Having said that, I glued it and got another few weeks use out of it. I don't think anything is child proof, so.... I liked this product.
Terrible – looks pretty but poor performance ,3rd grade quality, gets overheated quickly.not value for money.would not suggest anyone buying this product. I would expect minimum performance from Breville .Utterly disappointed . Small sleek, easy to clean Motor gets overheated quickly, doen't fine grind ,waste of money, develops crack in the glass cover
Bad – Though I bought because it was cheap, Breville being a fairly good brand yet I don't know how it could die after only two years of purchase so if you buy cheap you don't get longevity and durability Good size Two years and it died
No good for coffee or spices – First of all you never want a cheap grinder like this for an espresso machine - do some research - cheap grinders burn the beans and give uneven grind. I got this for spices but it doesnt really grind them fine enough = and if you want to put a few peanuts in to make a malaysian/ indo style peanut curry sauce forget about it...it cannot handle… Read more
anything that tough...blades seem to weak for even spices like cinnamon etc. Very disappointed as I'm loyal Breville customer of their espressom machines cheap. small weak blades
Bad – I've only owned mine a week but I'm not happy with it. It doesn't grind the beans fine enough for my machine, and the result is different tasting coffee to what I get with beans ground by my coffee supplier. Rather than a powder you get very fine "granules". It's also quite difficult to clean, the hopper is not removable and access is tricky. Looks good, easy to use Doesn't grind fine enough for an espresso machine, difficult to clean
Good – As a grinder goes does the job it was intended for with out any trouble, the coffee beans always are completly ground with no need to start all over again grinds enough for several cups of coffee. This is a very compact grinder and being made stainless looks great, grinds spices excellently as well as coffee beans easy to use and if very good… Read more
value for money. I am unable to remove all the ground coffee or spices without the use of a spoon; or other such tool; a word of safety always switch off if using your finger! difficult to clean as there is no removalble parts.
Good – I gave it a bonus point because I don't think I paid a lot of money for this machine and it has served me well, so I've got good value out of it. Does the job (grinds my coffee every morning). Still going fine after 4.5 years. Quickly developed large cracks down the side of the machine. They don't really impeded the performance but show that the construction is 2nd rate.

Only grinds from extremely coarse to course, not course to very fine. Utterly useless for grinding coffee for an expresso machine.
